Prince had 48 hours left to live otherwise he was going to lose his life in a very high kill shelter in CA. His owner had dropped the handsome Prince off at the shelter & he had been waiting for someone to come for him for well over a month, but no one did. He had his second upper respiratory infection in the shelter but as we quickly learned when we rescued him & rushed him to our vets he had pneumonia & we did not know if he was going to survive as he was so extremely ill. Our vets let us know if we did not rescue him he would of died from the pneumonia before he was put to sleep. We had our work cut out for us with Prince after rescuing him, he was extremely sick & stayed at our vets for several days on an iv, receiving meds, good nutrition & care. Once he was well enough off into his foster home he went, he followed his foster mum everywhere & became her shadow. We wanted to make sure Prince is good with men & we put him into a daycare with men to see how he was & he loves the men who look after him. Prince does well with some dogs but we recommend a home where he can be the only dog & get all the attention. He also does like to play & will play rough with the other dogs. Prince rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & he now loves to eat & walks good on a leash. We are looking for a forever home with Prince where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possible. Prince is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved. This boy has already been through so much & already been abandoned before. Prince has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs here in WA & was in CA. Prince is roughly 5 years old & 64.2 lbs & is perhaps a American pit bull, male, neutered, took several months to get him healthy & to a healthy weight as he had severe pneumonia & we did not know if he would survive, had patchy hair loss & crusty patches on skin, he is microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on rescuing Prince, with all of his medical care, getting him well from severe pneumonia including x-rays, treatments & not knowing if he would survive the severity of the pneumonia he needed a lot of extra care. Along with vet bills in CA & WA, transport, boarding etc we have spent more on Prince’s care than his fee covers. Prince has been around cats since being in the rescue & he does like to chase the cats so a home with no cats is best for Prince, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Prince was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Prince’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training with more than 1 class. Please do not email us asking is Prince potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Prince has been through many traumas in his life so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Prince & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Prince who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Prince has an adoption fee of $500 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Soul destroying is the only way to look back & see Dovy in a kill shelter in CA in a picture of her posted on social media. This picture would make you cry because you could see from her body just how much she had been abused & used over & over & over again. This beautiful lady had an owner & was dumped at the shelter because they were finished using her. We could not bare to leave this beautiful girl there & as it was she desperately needed out as her time had run out at the kill shelter. No way were we going to let her stay in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. We got Dovy out of the shelter & low & behold we found out when we went to spay her, she was pregnant. Dovy had her babies but unfortunately they all went to heaven, no surprises unfortunately because we knew she was not looked after, nor loved, nor cared for at all. This girl is so outstanding, she has endured so much & yet is still full of life, love & enthusiasm for joy. Our wonderful vet discovered a large mass & she needed her spleen removed, so we got her spleen removed. She originally was not impressed by other dogs probably because of all the times she was forced to have puppies but now this beautiful girl loves other dogs & is so forgiving of what humans did to her. Dovy who is now looking for her very own forever home who will never give up on her again & love her just as we all do. After we got Dovy out of the kill shelter she was brought back to WA state from CA where she can’t wait to find her devoted loving forever home. The picture of Dovy in the kill shelter it says just how sad she was & how she had been used over & over as a breeding machine to make money off her back. Her poor boobies at the time were touching the ground. She is unrecognizable to that picture to the little lady she is today. She was very thin, she needed to put on a lot of weight, which now she has. Her zest for life is like no other. She has endured so much with losing her babies & from needing her spleen removed. She just wants to be loved & she so loves you back. She looks as though she is smiling with glee when she gets her picture taken. Disturbing to think no one wanted her & she was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. Dovy is a very soft gentle soul, she is so easy to love considering what he has endured. She loves everyone she meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. She will bowl you over with her enthusiasm for joy & her happiness. Sweet Dovy foes not have a mean bone in her beautiful body. That being said, Dovy is a good eater, she loves to eat & she is making up for lost time. Dovy’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard. Dovy has now been great with her baths because she started having them with us the moment she was rescued so she is used to them. We don’t know how many baths she previously had before coming to us, it appeared to be a shock to her system having a bath for the first time. Then the many times after as she needed medicated baths for skin infection. Dovy now rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on her harness & leash. She is a big strong girl who gets very, very excited when on her harness leash. We are looking for a forever home for Dovy where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for her to thrive. Dovy loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for her new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lady only. She was in the dreaded shelter until we rescued her. Dovy is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Dovy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for her to be in a home with playful dogs. Dovy is roughly just a 5 years old & roughly 59 lbs & is perhaps a American pit bull, what she is mixed with we are not sure. She is female, spayed, came out of the shelter with a bad skin infection along with a ear infection that she came out of the shelter with. We treated her & got her better before she could go under anesthesia. Dovy had a dental, scale & polish & dental x-rays along with a incisor & premolar removed. Dovy had to have her spleen removed because it had a mass on it. Her spleen was sent away to be tested & it was a benign splenic mass, she is microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent over $3000 on Dovy, getting her safe, well & healthy with all of her medical care & needs. Dovy has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. Beautiful oh so sweet & so very lovely Fergie, was in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. She had zero public interest & zero rescue interest on social media but had countless people who wanted her life saved. She was posted looking so defeated & was depressed & just from her picture she did not look well so we knew we had to help her. Yes, it appears at the age of 17 months in the shelter she was going to die which is absolutely unacceptable & disgusting. We rescued this beautiful little lady & 2 other sweet baby dolls out of that same kill shelter who desperately needed help. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Thank goodness we got her out because if we had not, she would of died just from the pneumonia she had. She was sitting in the shelter suffering from putrid pneumonia with a very bad fever & was truly out of time. She was instantly rushed to our vets where she was immediately given injectables, all the medical care began & we began to pray we got her out in time. Even after weeks of care we were still praying for her to survive. Without her outstanding foster mum this would not of happened. Fergie who is now looking for her very own forever home & who will never give up on her again & dump her & love her just as her foster mum & we do. After we got Fergie all her care with her amazing foster mum she will be bought back to WA state from CA where she was a passenger on a wonderful flight with Pet Rescue Piolt’s & got the royal treatment as she was the only dog on this flight. We can’t begin to thank them enough for the outstanding work they do & for helping our beautiful Fergie. Fergie can’t wait to find her loving forever home. Sweetheart of a lady, how could anyone dump her at the kill shelter is unimaginable. Her foster mum said she is so very sweet & demure for a big dog. Fergie just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted her & she was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. Fergie is a very soft gentle soul, she is so easy her foster mum said considering what she has endured. Her foster mum said she is a little of everything, loves to play with her dog friends, will do her own thing, loves people, takes time out from people & will some times even go play by herself but majority of the time wants to be with her people. She loves everyone she meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. Fergie is a good eater, she loves to eat & she is making up for lost time after being so sick with pneumonia. In Fergie’s new forever home she needs a lot of toys as she loves her toys, her toys her foster mum said she is good with & doesn’t destroy. Fergie new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for her safety. Fergie has been great with her baths because she started having them with us the moment she was rescued so she is used to them. Fergie rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & still needs continued work walking on his harness & leash. She is a very strong lady & this needs to be remembered. But has done amazing in his foster home & daycare in CA. We are looking for a forever home for Fergie where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for her to thrive. Fergie loves other dogs & needs another dog in the home to play with. This is mandatory for her new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lady only. She was left in a cage in the shelter until we rescued her. Fergie is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love him as she should be loved & be patient with her. Fergie has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. She also was in a daycare in CA & loved playing. It’s mandatory for her to be in a home with playful dogs. Fergie is roughly just over 21 months old & 63.60 lbs & is perhaps a American pit bull & what she is mixed with we are not sure at all. She is female, treated for pneumonia which she was in the shelter suffering with & would of died from if we did not rescue her. She was so extremely thin, she was treated with countless medications & a tremendous amount of love time & care to get her healthy & well. She had a major blood profile done, another CBC, tested for distemper, was on a home nebulizer when not at our vets. She had a skin scrapping, treated for alopecia, along with we got her spayed by laser. Fergie is, microchipped, heart worm negative, given flea treatment, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Fergie, with all of her medical care getting her well than her adoption fee comes close to even covering with the pneumonia, getting her spayed by laser, her dental scale & polish, major blood panel, injectable’s, paying her shelter fee to get her out of the shelter, boarding fees in CA which were just under $2000, shots, etc. We have spent several thousand dollars on saving & rescuing our beautiful Fergie. Fergie has been around cats since being in the rescue & did well with the cat in her foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. Just because she did well with the cat in het foster home does not mean she will get along with all cats. Hi! My name is Princess and I am available for adoption. I weigh 91.5lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on April 26, 2022. I was returned April 29, 2023 because the new family was moving out of the state. I lived outside my whole before coming to RASKC so I`m still trying to learn some basic manners. I get so excited when people come to me I may jump on you.I am very sweet, love affection and treats, I`ll `sit` for them.` I am a pretty independent dog who would do best in a home without other animals (I truly just want all your love to myself!) or in a home with older children. I am full of energy and I love to play fetch! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Hi! My name is Molly and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on February 15, 2023 along with my pal Diego (A680972) after our owner was hospitalized and unfortunately surrendered over to RASKC.I weigh 46 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I am athletic, energetic and affectionate. I like long walks, to play fetch and to cuddle with my people. I stay with 2 cats and a small dog in my foster home, and I am doing fine with all of them. I am friendly with the neighbor pitbull as well: no fence fighting. I do have a little `stranger-danger`. I can be reactive towards dogs and some people especially while on a leash. I need a home with low traffic and a fenced yard for exercises. I am house and crate trained. I can be left alone for a reasonable amount of time and be a good guard dog. I would not do good around kids as I can sometimes be jumpy and may knock them over.I have been adopted twice and returned both times because I attach to one person and having other people around while I`m adjusting stresses me out. My personality color is RED. I get nervous in new situations or being around new people and animals, so I am looking for someone who understands that I might take some time to warm up. I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a person who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Hi! My name is Ahsoka! I was brought to RASKC by a good samaritan on 4/6/23. Now I`m ready to find my new home!I`m three years old but don`t let that fool you - I am a puppy at heart when it comes to my personality! I love to play, especially with stuffed toys. I love them so much, I usually like to carry one around with me when I go out. Outside I`m a bouncy, playful girl who wants to make you the center of my world! I love working with my human friends for toys or treats, and I`m a fast learner too. I know some basics already, like sit, down and off.My energy level is moderate to high and I`m pretty strong, so a home where walks, maybe even runs or hikes, are a regular occurance would be best for me. I like playing in the yard, but I could also use more targetted exercise to really satisfy my needs. I`m 57lbs, putting me on the `large side of medium.` Because of my energy level and strength, I do best with dog-savvy kids.My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Hi! My name is Georgie and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good samaritan on April 30, 2023.I weigh 58.3 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. I am underweight so I should be roughly 60 lbs.I was in pretty rough condition when I arrived at RASKC, but after some TLC from the vet staff and my caregivers I am on my way to being in tip-top shape :)I love food and treats! I will `sit` for them and take them gently as well.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. Hi! My name is Ruby and I am available for adoption.I was orginally brought to RASKC on December 1, 2021. I was then adopted and then transferred from another animal shelter back to here after my owner passed away. I weigh about 56 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog. I am still the same sweet gal I was a year ago, but just a little chunky! I really like fetch and playing in pools so that can help aid in the weight loss I need to live a long and healthy life! Ideally I would be around 45-50 lbs.My caregivers have observed that I seem to be dog selective. I have done well with other dogs my size with a more gentle playing style but I have also met other dogs that I do not get along with. I can get a little excited every now and then so I need a playmate who will be able to tell me when I am pushing their boundaries. When meeting dogs in a new home I would do best with a slow introduction.I cannot go to a home with children. I really enjoy people and just want to hug you or give me your paw so that you can hold it.My personality color is GREEN. I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!
