Meet Blade! Blade is a 6-7 month old pittie mix who cheated death at the shelter. He is super sweet but timid. He came from a cruelty case with his siblings and was the only black one and of course the only one who did not get adopted or pulled by rescue. He has not had the best start at life but is a sweetie pie and needs someone who will show him the extra love he deserves to reassure him that his former life of abuse is over. Black dogs are the most overlooked at shelters, often the last to be adopted, among the first to be euthanized & the best pet you could imagine. Blade is great with other dogs and cats! We know blade’s forever home is out there. Could it be you? Interested in Meeting Blade? Please fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application . Adoption donation of $295 includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. DFW Area Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  April 28, 2025, 3:20 pm

Story
(Dallas, Texas - Foster/Adopter desperately needed) King truly needs a hero, and we know that people with generous and kind hearts are out there. King is a playful guy, about 4.5 ~5 y & 40-45 lbs, so loving and content with whatever affection you'd give him. (a couple of videos in the Comment) King was abandoned and left alone in a small backyard run/kennel for 4 years exposed to all weather elements and confined in isolation and loneliness. We were so heartbroken seeing him carrying his bowl panting alone in the heat and dirt last summer, so Angie rescued him. Yet, without a foster, King's been living in a crate at a boarding facility for a year, and we desperately want him to have a chance to learn and enjoy living in a home! King's had several training sessions at the boarding facility, learned some basic commands and to trust humans, and is especially smitten by ladies. King's now a happy guy and loves loves the attention (& treats, of course). King enjoys a quiet life with NO other animal, being with humans, and feeling the breeze and sunlight on his face. King's content with carrying and chewing his toys by himself without the bother of the world. We really believe that a soul who suffered years of neglect and desolation deserves an understanding person/family to love him, and King'd give absolute devotion in return. King needs to be the only dog, is fixed, crate and house trained, and shots up to date. Please let us know if your home has a warm spot for King (for foster, Angie's Friends will provide everything that King needs).  October 13, 2024, 11:35 pm

Story
Meet the lovable and loyal Nala. She is a 3-year-old, 45-pound, American Bully, with athletic features and very obedient behavior. My family and I got her from a breeder a little over 3 years ago, right here in Dallas. Nala is an alert and mindful pup who loves to play with her toys and lounge in her spots. She is timid at first but gets along with all animals. Nala likes to cuddle up with her humans, she is super affectionate. She loves to be hugged and when you pet and scratch her stomach and back. An ideal home for Nala would be one with kids and people who can dedicate time to her. She does suffer from separation anxiety, so she definitely needs people around her. Nala is mainly an inside dog, but she enjoys walks (especially the park). She is fantastic inside the house. She is crate/leash/house trained, and knows basic commands as well. Sitting, laying down, staying in a specific spot. She is one smart pup! She loves riding in the car as long as someone is close to her. And she is a sucker for treats, who isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t! This beautiful and lovable pup is deserving of the perfect forever home. Could it be with you? ** Please read to the end to learn how to adopt! Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!!   He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin.  We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less.  He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar.  It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.'  He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return.  He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too ! He is good with other dogs and children.  He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun!   If you're looking for a sweet and friendly dog, Gus is the one for you!    Please apply to Foster OR Adopt Brady by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website,  www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org

Story
Anyone up for some Tea? This sweet and curious girl may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll steal your heart. Tea’s favorite things in life are her ball, yummy treats, and mealtime—so it doesn’t take much to make her happy! Normally a quiet and laid-back pup, she has the cutest little bark when she decides to use it. Tea would do best in a home with older children, as she has a habit of putting things in her mouth like a curious toddler. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll gladly curl up in your lap and soak up all the head rubs she can get. With a medium-to-high energy level, Tea is always up for playtime but also enjoys relaxing with her favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, Tea is ready to bring warmth and love into your home! Could Tea be the perfect match for you? To meet Tea, please fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application . $295 Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption.
