Thank you for your interest, you can meet this dog and our other available pooches at the Plano PetSmart, 6204 W Park Blvd, we're there Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5. As a reminder, we don't do same day adoptions unless you've submitted an application on our website, https://www.poochsavers.com/, and been approved (received an email saying congratulations, you're approved to adopt). THIS IS WHAT HIS FOSTER DAD SAYS.... 'ۢ Good in the crate at night or when necessary when we're home. Anxious in the crate when we leave but not crazy. 'ۢ He loves playing with dogs'| he's had play dates with two dogs his size that went really great. They were all on the same vibe, everything felt fun and safe and natural - it was really a joy to watch. But we have two older Pomeranians (5 and 10 pounds) and he doesn't know that they're off limits and he tries to initiate play with them, jumping/pawing/nipping at their tails. We also have a dog who is over 60 pounds who does not play, and Bruiser tries to initiate play with him also despite his objections. I think Bruiser will be a great companion to the RIGHT dog(s) but should definitely be his size or bigger. 'ۢ He's never met cats but I assume he would be similar to them as with little dogs and would avoid pairing him with cats. 'ۢ He's met a couple kids and based on those interactions I would say he's good with them but that is limited confirmation. I would absolutely supervise him with kids - he is still very much a mouthy puppy.

Story
We adopted Lilly when she was 10 months old from a shelter. She didnt start showing signs of aggression until we adopted a second dog that we thought would keep her company. It has been 4 years of trying to keep the peace between them, and now that we have a child and another on the way, we've decided that Lilly needs to find a home where she is the only dog and no children around. She resource guards and will den to keep things, like sunglasses, socks and medication bottles. She is good on a leash, will heal if told too, and doesn't react much to other dogs walking on the street. She will greet children on walks as well, and sniff, but leaves them alone for the most part. She loves to look out the window, but if a dog walks by the house, she's scary. Her aggression and attacks on our other dog have resulted in dog bites on both the dog and my husband, just to be honest. We are looking into medication for anxiety for her, because honestly feel she is a good dog, just not in our home.

Story
My Paige Adele is such a sweet, but and clingy girl, which I’m sure is normal! She’s funny and witty. She’s kind of a house dog, so she can be territorial, but she loves the outdoors too. She loves attention. She has lots of energy! She loves kids and is protective of them. Paige was my son’s dog, he left and went away to college, he never came for her as she promised. I’ve been taking care of her hoping he would at least come visit to see her. She is now attached to my youngest son. But he is too leaving for college. I work and gotta job transfer and I want to move to something affordable. I will be by myself and I won’t be able to have the help caring for her.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link:   https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Valkyrie was picked up in a rural area after it appeared she had been abandoned there. We still tried to find her family just in case someone was looking for her, but sadly no one claimed her. We had her completely vetted and she is SO ready to find her forever family. Valkyrie is a short, stout Pittie girl...most likely a Staffordshire Terrier breed. She's just under 50 lbs and the vet thinks she's around 3 years old. She is white with black spots all over and a black patch over each eye. Valkyrie absolutely loves life! She is a very happy girl who loves to run and play. She tried some agility training and absolutely rocked it...she can jump pretty high and liked the jumps the best. She will do anything for a treat. She loves to destroy her toys so her foster family gives her non stuffed toys, chew bones, or thick rope toys to play with. She loves tug of war with the rope toy! She has had basic obedience training and knows how to sit on command, stay, lay down, come when called, and walks really well on leash. More than anything she loves to be with her people and cuddle or get lovin'. She has been around a lot of dogs and does really well, but she loves to play rough and tumble style so we would suggest dogs her size or larger with her. No cats for her...she just wants to chase them. She will literally try to climb a tree if she sees a squirrel in it....she can get 6' off the ground! Val is crate trained and house trained and does well in a car. She loves water and will swim in the pond or splash around on the top step of the pool, but she's not so fond of getting a bath. She loves to roll around and make silly noises when she first gets on the couch or bed, and she loves to growl-talk to you when she's trying to tell you she wants something too. She's easy to please but will need a home that can provide an outlet for her energy. She would be fine as an only dog that gets all the attention, or with another pup that loves to play as much as she does.   If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please click here (or copy and paste https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption into your browser) to view our adoption info and where you will find the link to fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application.  Any questions can be directed to us at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  All of our adoptable pups have a minimum requested adoption fee of $250  (pups 6 months and older) and $350  (pups under 6 months old), regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 8 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. Hi!  My name is Alani and I'm a green-eyed, red haired, sturdy package of sweet, cuddly goodness.  I love life and believe strongly that it should be lived fully.  To demonstrate, I will shower you with love and cuddles and will (most probably) jump up to show you my joy.  It's sorta hard to contain.   Like to play ball?  Me too.  Have a back yard to throw it in?  Excellent!  Like to go for long walks?  I will join you!!  Have another dog that's bigger than me?  I'd love to meet him.  Want someone to snuggle with?  I'm your girl.   Deal breakers:  cats, small dogs, apartments.    ****Prior to filling out an application or contacting RHS, please completely read the instructions below.**** ALL ADOPTERS/FOSTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN 60 MILES OF RICHARDSON, TX. RHS IS NOT A SHELTER; OUR PETS LIVE IN FOSTER HOMES IN THE DFW AREA. Adoption Process Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. We hold these events every Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. Story
Quinn loves her person to no end. She’s a GREAT companion...and we mean AMAZING. Playing with her is an amazing experience! She retrieves, plays tug and keep-away. She’s great on leash. Quinn's foster home has other dogs, but she doesn't seek the other dogs out for play. She is really just all about her person/people, so would be a great only dog. She’s beautiful, loving and very cuddly. She greets every morning with a big hug! She is not a barker. She prefers a couch to a kennel and enjoys a car ride. Quinn is a consistent 48lbs. She’s a pretty calm girl with med/low energy except when excited about a leash or a toy. She can be over enthusiastic about greeting new people, but we can tell you more about how to do that properly. She's a smart girl, so best suited for someone smarter than her (has dog savvy!).   Quinn was nearly euthanized at the shelter and we are SO glad we saved her. We are in LOVE with Quinn. She will make someone very happy. She'd be great with a person, a couple or family with older kids - just as long as it's the right fit! ##1404676##

Story
** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Alan at 214-287-9752 **   Meet the loving Lyla! She is a two-year old American Staffordshire and weighs 47 lbs. Lyla becomes your best friend very quickly as she loves people and desires to show affection. We adopted her from a rescue center a little over a year ago. We had lost our dog to old-age and were desiring to fill that void. Lyla had been found in a field covered with fleas and underweight, yet the rescue center said she was extremely affectionate the first time they met her. It was her tender eyes that caught our attention first. You could just tell she needed a good, loving home. When we visited the rescue center, she came right up and sat in front of us waiting to see if we were the ones. I think she chose us and we immediately knew she was the one. Lyla is a gentle, kind girl who loves to sit at your feet, lay in your lap, or go outside and play. Most of all, she just enjoys being part of the family. If you allow your dog to sleep with you, Lyla not only likes to cuddle and will even share a pillow if you let her. She loves getting new toys and playing fetch and tug-of-war the most. Lyla is a very happy pup who will run around the back yard as fast as she can enjoying life. An ideal home for Lyla would be an adult or couple who easily and readily give affection, and has time and energy to play with her. However, we don’t recommend having other animals or children. We’ve only had her around other animals one time but she seemed to be a little stressed and more aggressive than we liked. Lyla has been the most gentle, loving, tender dog we've ever had. We are absolutely heart-broken that we need to rehome her. We have lots of grandchildren and for the past year she has been their joy and love to play with. However, a couple of weeks ago out of the blue, for some reason she snapped at our four-year old grandson and caught the top of his eyebrow requiring a couple of stitches. Lyla immediately backed away and seemed as surprised as everyone else. We were in shock because of her gentle, loving and kind nature. Unfortunately, our grandchildren feel uncomfortable around her which is the ONLY reason we are rehoming her to someone who will give her the love and attention she deserves. This wonderful, loving pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt LYLA today!May 30, 2023, 9:11 pm
