He is smart, gentle, snuggly, and playful. He is 65lbs. Apollo is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered. He loves to sunbathe and be outside with his human. He has a hard time trusting males and struggles with change, so he will need a home that is stable (not moving a lot) and the male in the home needs to be there enough to build a relationship with him (not in and out traveling for work). Apollo does have anxiety and will need a lot of help with overcoming this especially with going to the vet and groomer. He has allergies in the fall/winter and eats Zignature kangaroo allergy friendly food. He loves to play with other dogs and has never had an incident while at doggie daycare, but he sometimes plays like a puppy and that can scare some bigger dogs. He’s patient and gentle with kids but would do best in a home with older kids because younger kids make him anxious. He is crate trained, house broken, and does great in his kennel. He is the most lovable guy who needs someone to help him with anxiety in an environment that is stable and calm. This dog requires a fully fenced yard with a visible fence, as well as a sturdy, high quality crate (no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Tundra is a beautiful 2.6 year female, Staffordshire terrier and Border Collie mix. Tundra does great in the home, and loves other dogs. She’s also very affectionate and friendly. Tundra loves going on walks and adventures in nature. She is house trained and loves hanging out and being a snuggle bug too. Tundra has never met a stranger (human or canine) that she doesn’t love. She is a perfect cuddler and is never shy to give kisses. She’s a big hearted, loyal girl who loves life. She has good foundational leash manners but can pull some at first when excited. She’d do best in a home without cats. She is kid friendly and doesn’t mind being laid on or used as a foot rest, children 12 and up would be best. She can get a little mouthy and when she’s excited but she’s a smart girl and can easily learn more manners with patience and time. Her favorite past times are eating, sleeping with a cozy blankie, and having a good chew session with a Yak cheese chew. Shes spayed, up to date on all vaccines, potty trained and hasn’t torn up anything while being left alone during the work day. Tundra is located in Bonney Lake and available to meet anytime! Meet Jake This handsome man is Jake Gyllenpaws. Jake is a real model and is good at stealing hearts with his good looks. His foster mom says Jake has the “model look” to him. He lays down and when you stop petting him, he looks back at you with "Blue Steel." Of course, this look often ends with more pets and kisses for the sweet boy. How could you not just love all over this boy? Jake loves to cuddle on the couch and be by your side soaking up all the love. After being stuck in the shelter, Jake has been working so hard on his doggie manners and wants to show you how far he's come. He can sit, lie down, and has been working on learning to stay. He is potty trained and loves to be outside in a yard with his family. He doesn’t much care for the crate, but his foster family is committed to showing him it can be a pawsitive place. Jake is a gentle boy and sensitive. After his last vet visit, he looked quite sad, so his foster mom took him to get a pup-cup and it made him very happy again. Jake will require continued spoiling and love, as he deserves the best. Jake is living with 2 other dogs in his foster family and loves having play mates. They get along very well outside of treat time. Jake would prefer not to share. It’s likely best to feed Jake separately from other resident dogs since he’s still learning that sharing is caring. This Jake Gyllenpaws isn’t a fan of cats. A home without felines is best for him. Jake is a Velcro boy and loves to be with his family. His human foster brother is turning out to be his best friend. Jake is learning to be gentle with him because he gets so excited when he sees him. Although Jake hasn’t met any smaller children, we think he would do well with kids over 10. He does like zoomies and with his zest for life, he may knock over the smaller ones trying to play. Sweet Jake is a real lap dog at heart and loves being by your side. Minerva is a very sweet girl. She has been an emotional support animal for years and now that she is getting older (12 years old this fall) she needs a home that can support her. She has some health issues: --Skin issues which she takes Apequel for --She gets UTI's regularly which require antibiotics. When she gets an infection her feet/toes swell up. Antibiotics will clear this up, but vets are loathe to give her the antibiotics she needs without hundreds of dollars of testing. --Her hips bother her so she cannot walk more than a few blocks The only behavioral issue she has is leash aggression towards other dogs. If she sees another dog on the street she will growl and bark and try to lunge towards them. This makes it difficult to impossible to take her anywhere that other dogs might be. She has never injured another dog, but she has frightened many other dog owners. The ideal home for her would be a house without other dogs (she gets along with cats) with a yard and doggie door.

Henry is a 2 year old extremely velcro pup who is very sweet, affectionate and loving. He does great with other dogs but can also live alone. He loves humans and is almost like a lapdog. Henry has received obedience training from a private trainer. He walks very well on leash and is a sweet, happy boy. Henry is currently about 50 lb and fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Henry is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. Animal Profile: Nutmeg is an estimated 3-year-old, 70 lb neutered male mixed breed listed as a lab mix but likely with some bully too -- who knows? He was rescued from the high kill Bakersfield Animal Shelter where he was assessed to be timid but friendly with people and respectful of other animals; Nutmeg is very affectionate once he has a chance to get to know you. He has a gentle mellow energy. Foster Update: Nutmeg is one sweet boy!  He will need a proper introduction to any potential dog friends, but he enjoys running and playing with his canine friends at doggy daycare. He lives to play ball and could do it all day. Nutmeg has been working hard on his obedience, and will thrive in a home where his skills will be kept up. This energetic dude also has an off switch, and would be happy to snuggle up at the end of the day for a snooze. Nutmeg has been in foster care with the trainers at A Dogs Best Friend in Vancouver, WA. He is a board and train grad, and has wonderful manners. Nutmeg is house and crate trained, and knows the commands sit, down, heel (on a loose leash), place and come. He participates in doggy daycare and enjoys his time with his trainers, but Nutmeg would love a family to call his own. Adoption Info: Nutmeg's adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and health certificate.
