Story
Murray is 9 years old and is a sweet and loving pup. He has always been so very sweet with our children, but is reactive towards other dogs. He is content laying around the house most of the day, but does still enjoy to walk, hike, play outside and still runs incredibly fast for his age. His favorite snack is peanut butter and he loves a good bone. If introduced correctly, he could possibly live with another dog. He has done okay with other dogs when introduced well, but has never lived with another dog or cat.

Story
Clyde is a sweet, energetic, and incredibly cuddly 9-year-old pup looking for his perfect forever home. He’s the kind of dog who loves being close to his people and is a total companion dog who thrives on affection and can happily go with the flow. Clyde is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. He does well with female dogs, and would do best as the only dog in the home or paired with a friendly female dog. His favorite things include playing fetch, cuddling, and keeping an eye on squirrels. Clyde has received extensive training for dog reactivity, and he has made great progress, though he can still struggle on walks. For that reason, he is happiest playing in a secure fenced yard and enjoying enrichment. I’m happy to share contact information for his trainer with anyone interested in continuing his progress. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who just wants to be near his person, Clyde could be the perfect match.

Story
Meet Poppy, a perfectly fun-sized, silly girl! Poppy was found as a stray in New Mexico and brought in to a local shelter there. She spent 2 months waiting patiently for a home, but none came. We took Poppy days before her time would have been up, and brought her to Colorado for another chance! Poppy does the cutest zoomies around the yard and enjoys toys, snacks, and sticks! She is great on leash and would enjoy a hiking buddy or someone who takes long walks. She really likes playing with boy dogs, and does well with female dogs in a controlled introduction (walking together on leash for example). She's quiet in her kennel, and is potty trained. She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Butters is the best girl around. She is easy-going and so well behaved, goes into her kennel on command and is very quiet, and walks well on leash. She is good with other dogs, but we have not seen her with kids or cats yet. She potties on leash on command and enjoys hiking, walking, and lounging around the house. We are guessing she is a cattle dog mix, and is about 55 lbs currently. If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Meet Wish List! This little guy has not had an easy start to life. He was found with his mom, a blue heeler, by the train tracks in New Mexico. When he was taken into the local shelter, they discovered he had wounds on one of his hind legs. We brought him up to Colorado at that time and did x-rays, and found he had an old break in his back leg. Since it had been some time since it had happened, the break was already beginning to heal and doctors thought it would be best not to re-break it and put him through surgery, since he was using it well. Today, Wish List appears to be pain-free and uses the leg without issue, although doctors think it may cause some arthritis when he gets much older. Wish List is very interested in attention from humans, and sometimes bullies the other puppies to get attention first. For this reason, we think he might do best in a home where he is the only dog, so that he can get spoiled and cuddled all on his own. He loves food and will be easy to train because of this. He is working on kennel and potty training. He is fine with cats and loves children. He is about 4 months old and only 8lbs so we do not expect him to get very large. Wish List is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

These pups are in Windsor, Colorado too!

Story
Meet Blossom the almost perfect dog. She is house trained, will go into a crate, and walks pretty good on a leash. She loves to play in the snow. She is a beauty to look at and is medium in size. Blossom is a very shy dog and is afraid of men. She needs an experienced shy dog adopter, preferably in an all woman household. Small children would not be good because of her skittishness. A calm environment is needed Give her the best gift of the holidays with a forever home.
