Dumbo's got nothing on me! My name is Budgie, and I have ears for days. People keep saying I'll grow into them, but my foster family says they're growing with me, so I'm not so sure! I'm a survivor -- I had distemper and have a bit of a twitch as a result. Distemper is hard to beat, so I'm a bit of a miracle pup. I didn't let that experience get me down, though -- I love hard, play hard, and have personality for days.I'm just about potty trained, and I sleep through the night! I am learning to walk on a leash. I play so hard during the day with humans and other pups that I literally play myself to sleep. I've been to adoption events, and while I'm overwhelmed at first, I love to meet new friends, dogs, and humans alike! I've never met a cat, but with a careful introduction, I'd want to be their friend! I do fine with kids that I meet! While I play hard, I love to snuggle with my humans when I'm tired. Don't let my tough guy look fool you; I'm a lover boy at heart. I sure hope you're my forever home -- I'm a scrappy survivor with a unique look who deserves a happy ending! Once the application is reviewed our adoptions coordinator will send your information to the foster to set up a meet and greet.We ask that all members of the household come for a meet and greet to ensure there are no personality clashes. If you have other dogs in the home and are meeting a dog you must bring them for the meet and greet. Filling out an adoption application does not mean you will be adopting the animal. Doing a meet and greet with one of our animals does not guarantee you are adopting the animal. We will select the family we feel is the best choice for that animal after screening and meeting applicants.
