Story
This happy go lucky fellow is Jake. His owner could no longer take care of him and his best buddies Lola and Queen. They arrived to the shelter on 7/8. Jake is 4 years old and weighs in at 55 pounds. He was an outside dog. He loves attention and knows to sit when asked. Jake is dreaming of a spa day and a soft bed to snooze in. Would you help Jake? Ask for ID# 660133 Run 18. He is current on vaccines and neutered; he will be micro-chipped upon adoption. Though Jake tested positive for heartworms, he has completed treatment at the shelter. Most dogs who are treated for the condition go on to live long and healthy lives. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Oakley is a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mixed with Spaniel and lab with such a sweet temperament. He is smart, loyal, high-energy, loves dogs and all people. He needs an experienced owner who knows how to train him and meet his mental and physical needs. He needs a couple of hours of exercise a day (fetch, long walks, hiking, or playing with other dogs), which we cannot provide for him. He also needs a quiet house without children, in our opinion, as he’s easily overstimulated. He is crate trained and house trained and has worked with a trainer for a few months to improve obedience and self control. Oakley is always up for an adventure and will be your best friend and most loyal companion! Vet reference and personal reference needed.

Story
Rex is a 2yr old male cattle dog mix (7/2022) aprox 30-35 lbs. Rex is building confidence and learning skills to be forever home ready. He still takes a little time to warm up, but with a few feedings, he will be your forever friend. If you need to make an instant connection with a dog, Rex is probably not going to be your dog. He will eventually become a snuggler, but that has to happen on his terms when he feels safe and loved. Rex is crate trained. He is quiet in his crate and considers that his safe relaxation place. He likes soft blankets in his crate. Rex goes outside to potty and walks with you around the yard- jumping up to kiss the tips of your fingers. Leash walking is still a new skill for Rex so a fenced in yard would be preferred.  Rex is good with other dogs and we would recommnded that he have another dog in the home.  Rex is NOT good with cats. adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. To fill out an application visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/generic Once approved, we will schedule a one on one meet and greet.   ##1912824##

Hugo is two years old and about 50 lbs. He was found by Hwy 75 in Canton. His people were found but their living situation was far from ideal to care for him. They said their goodbyes to Hugo in the hopes that he would have a shot at a loving forever home. He is house trained. He does fine in a crate. No food or toy aggression. He is playful and loves to be brushed. He walks well on a leash. Storms do not bother him. He’s been professionally trained and vetted. Please contact Reagan with Georgia K9 NTC Calhoun gak9calhoun@gmail.com 678 615-5643 Two home visits are included. He loves tennis balls, he likes to explore and be outdoors. He is crate trained with treats. So far he is housebroken. He loves all people.
