Story
A FUN & HANDSOME GUY:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 32 lbs.  Hello – I’m Sylvester!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I could not be more grateful.  Spending time with the volunteers while I wait for my new family to find me gives me the chance to soak up all the love and attention all doggies deserve!  I hope I meet them soon!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over with my enthusiasm. Also, kids shouldn’t walk me as I’m working on my leash manners (see training). • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a super sweet guy with fun energy to match!  I have a happy and friendly personality and a wonderful, playful nature you are sure to love. The volunteers report that I am a really nice dog. I’m looking forward to being your loyal companion. / My energy level is 5-7.  I have energy to expend, then calm down nicely.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I’ll also be brushing up on my leash skills, as I seem to think of my leash as a tug-of-war game and once caught a finger in my mouth while attempting to play grabby leash (the volunteers and my trainer are working with me on this).  I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’ command, so check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I really like toys and will entertain myself with them.  Long walks would be great for me, and – I’m working on my leash skills (the volunteers have me sit for a kibble multiple times on my walk, which keeps the leash tug-of-war to a minimum.  I will learn!). / I’m a happy guy and can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a loving furever home with a great family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    December 5, 2024, 7:00 am

Story
Reamus is a very cute dog, and is usually very sweet and loving, however, he has serious behavioral problems. He can be aggressive towards people and other animals. He will get on the kitchen counter and eat anything he can find, including non-food items. He has acted aggressively towards myself, our other dog, our cat, and our elderly neighbors. He will require an experienced trainer. This is our last effort to rehome him, I will not trust him to just any home because of his potential to be aggressive.

Story
Nova is a purebred 6 y/o blue heeler and I am trying to rehome her. She is house broken. Doesn't like bath time, but will tolerate it. She is not socialized, but once you feed her, she likes you. Barks whenever she hears an unfamiliar voices. Doesn't howl, but whines. She takes to a leash, but she does pull. Understands commands "sit", "come", "eat", "good", "stop". Sheds moderately and blows her coat once or twice a year. Needs a home with a big yard/a lot of land so she can run around and be happy. Not good for a family with small children and/or other pets unless you can properly train her. Very food motivated. Kind of timid. High energy , but loves naps. Loves to be rubbed and hugged on. Has allergies, but otherwise very very healthy. She is not fixed, but has not been in heat in a couple years. Comes with crate, dog food, leash, and two compartment bowl.
