Story
Rosebud brings love and joy everywhere she goes. She bonds deeply with her people, is a superb companion, and would bring the right home a lot of joy. • 7-year-old black lab mix • Personality/temperament: Affectionate, loyal, friendly, goofy — an excellent cuddler who loves people. Housebroken, can stay at home alone. • Favorite things: Relaxing at home, walks in the park. • Physical/medical: 75 pounds. As she ages, some arthritis is settling in, requiring some pain management, but she is still happy to go on walks, loves roaming around nature, and shorter fetch sessions. Reason for re-homing: Unfortunately Rosebud gets anxious around our new baby, despite training efforts. We had an accident where the baby got too close and the dog, cornered, nipped him out of fear (not aggression). Everyone is fine, but Rosebud deserves a home where she doesn't need to feel nervous all the time. We are committed to finding the right home for her and are happy to answer any questions. Thank you.

Story
Rosebud is a very affectionate 7-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix who is the definition of a people dog. If you are looking for a loyal companion who thrives on human attention and will try to curl up next to you for a nap, she is your girl! Expert Cuddler: We call her our 80-lb lap dog; she lives for pets and snuggles. Easygoing & Reliable: She is well-behaved when left home alone, very calm in the car, and very responsive to treats. Ideal Home: Rosebud is looking for a new home because she finds the unpredictable energy of infants and toddlers (specifically crawling and fast-moving little ones) to be very stressful. While she is not a fit for homes with small children, she would likely do well with older, dog-savvy kids who can be gentle and respectful of her space. Health & Activity: She enjoys a few short walks a day (1 mile or less). She takes daily medication for arthritis, which is simple to manage. Otherwise, she is healthy, happy, and has a whole lot of love to give!

She strikes the perfect balance between playful energy and cuddly companionship that will bring endless smiles and melt your heart. She’s always happy to be part of the action - whether that means romping around the yard, heading out for a walk, or simply hanging out with her favorite humans. With her cheery personality and affectionate nature, Maxine brings a whole lot of joy wherever she goes.Maxine is a friendly girl who truly enjoys the company of others. She loves playing with other dogs and hasn’t had any trouble making new furry friends. She’s also lived peacefully with cats and has done wonderfully with an 8-year-old child, making her a great fit for a family environment. Like many young pups, she can get a little extra excited and may jump up to say hello, but she’s diligently working on her manners and learning quickly with guidance and of course, treats!Maxine is off to a fantastic start with her training and is so close to being fully house trained. She does great in her crate for a few hours during the day and is building a solid routine. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore, though she’s still developing her doggie confidence. Maxine is eager to learn, responds well to correction, and is already picking up great habits. With her playful spirit, loving heart, and willingness to learn, she’s ready to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion for one lucky family.Ready for a built-in best friend and daily dose of happy? Maxine is waiting to wiggle her way right into your heart. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. She is a medium energy gal who loves zooming around the backyard with her foster siblings and carrying a small stuffy around in her mouth. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home that will give her the time and space to get comfortable on her own terms. After a little decompression time, Cindy had no issues with any of the resident dogs in her foster home and would do well with a canine sibling. She has shown zero interest in the cats and would do just fine with a feline sibling. She has been great with kids but does best with dog-savvy kids who understand that she needs a calm, gentle approach to feel at ease.Cindy is a smart girl with a sweet soul who is learning to build confidence every day. She is fully crate trained and does great overnight and throughout the day. She is mostly house trained and does best when taken outside immediately after leaving her kennel, and will continue to improve with a consistent routine. Cindy is working on her leash skills and is still building confidence with a leash on. This sweet girl has so much love to give. Story
Coda is a beautiful, intelligent Blue Heeler with a lot of love to give, but she needs the right environment to truly thrive. She would do best in a home without other animals or children, as she values her personal space and can become overwhelmed in busy or unpredictable settings.Coda is very well trained and thrives with structure. She is fully house, leash, and crate-trained. She sleeps comfortably in her crate at night and when left home alone.Making the decision to rehome Coda has been incredibly difficult. I am currently five months pregnant, and I worry about her being around a young child who may not understand boundaries or personal space. My priority is finding her a safe, calm, and loving home where she can continue to grow and feel secure.Once Coda warms up, she is a love bug and incredibly loyal. She needs someone who will be patient with her. Due to her prior abuse, I was told it would be best to put her down rather than place in a shelter. Please help us find her a home

Story
Koda is a rescue Blue Heeler who is incredibly smart, loyal, and affectionate once she builds trust. She comes from an abusive background, so she can be fearful of new people and needs time and patience to feel safe. If approached too quickly, she may snap out of fear, though incidents have only caused minor skin breaks. Koda does best when people respect her space and allow her to initiate contact. She must be the only pet in an adult-only home. She can tolerate visitors as long as they follow her boundaries. She is fully house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and follows commands well. She is very treat-motivated and thrives with structure. As a high-energy breed, she needs regular exercise like walks and fetch.Rehoming her is a very difficult decision due to a baby on the way. She deserves a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and loved. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly sweet, playful, and deeply devoted.

Story
Once was a momma — now a friend looking for a family of her own to love her Meet Rosie – a sweet, soulful girl ready for her fresh start! This beautiful 3-year-old, 40 lb shepherd mix was left behind as a stray in rural Texas, found caring for a litter of puppies (you may remember the adorable Lion King litter—Rosie is their amazing mama!). She’s been through a lot, including heartworm treatment, and now she’s healthy, happy, and ready to head north in search of her forever home. Rosie is a gentle and loving companion who just needs a little time to feel safe—once she does, her personality blossoms After about a week in her foster home, she transformed into a snuggly, playful sweetheart. She loves to run, play with toys, and has a funny habit of collecting shoes (don’t worry—she doesn’t chew them, she just builds a little pile of her fav treasures!). She’s also got a calm, chill side—perfect for someone who works from home. She enjoys snoozing next to the resident dog and is great on leash, happy to go for walks and sniff everything along the way. Rosie is still building confidence in new situations and around new people. This gal can be timid & would thrive as a second dog in a home with another calm, confident pup, or with someone who has experience with shy dogs. If you’re patient, loving, and ready to watch a gentle soul blossom, Rosie will absolutely steal your heart. crste trained & housebrokenspayed, vaccinated & microchipped————————Rosie is available for adoption in October  *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below.
