Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, with dog savvy cats Good with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesBooster is a big baby who just wants to be loved on. He is a medium energy, happy boy who gets along with other dogs and dog-savvy cats. He likes his fetch and zoomies, but settles in for a good nap and loves to snuggle!  He does an adorable tappy dance when he’s excited and has a really cute butt wiggle! He is respectful of other dogs and reads their cues pretty well, and is still learning to understand when cats don’t want to play!He knows how to sit for food and treats, and is super sweet and cuddly. He is quiet in his crate and sleeps well in there all night, with no accidents. He is still learning not to pull on the leash, but settles down after a few minutes. He enjoys sniffing the new scents and exploring. He’s a quick learner, and so eager to please.  He is big and gets a little jumpy, so he may be too much for very small children, but has done well with older kids!  All this boy wants is to belong to a family that will give him as much love as he has for them.  He is a sweetheart who would do great with a dog sibling or as an only dog! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHigh energy and super sweet, Roxie is a recent mother who is now an empty nester and ready for the next chapter in her forever home! The perfect home for Roxie will be an active one, preferably with a yard and a K9 or human sibling. Older children might be best as she still sometimes jumps up excitedly. While she likes cats, their space is not always respected; dog savvy cats will be best. Exercise and room to roam will be important to allow her to focus on her training and enjoy her downtime.Fully potty trained and crate trained, Roxie also walks well on the leash. She loves to hunt squirrels and bunnies, but she can be a little overzealous in pulling towards and happily barking at other dogs.Blessed with the ability to jump very high, Roxie should be viewed as a flight risk. She never went far and only did it when she was still adapting to her foster home and learning boundaries.Roxie cannot wait to meet her forever family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. She is pretty laid-back and likes to share. Her ideal home would be with any person or family looking to grow up with the perfect pup!Irulan loves to play with other dogs. She has been in a foster home with three cats and has never tried to hurt them. She adores attention from anyone, young or old, so would do well with kids in the family.Irulan goes into her crate on her own. Once given something to chew on, she settles down quickly. Story
Laid back? CHECK! Loves to travel? CHECK! Low Maintenance? CHECK! This sweet girl is ready for her new chapter begin. This is Coco, a Shar-pei mix with a lot of love to give. Coco is 9 years old, spayed, house-trained, and a real people lover. Coco came from a veterinarian's office in PA who reached out to rescue when her people could no longer care for her. She is quiet and lo maintenance and happy to follow her people around the house, go for car rides, and walks around the neighborhood. Coco loves toys and treats, but she has to watch her treat intake to keep her girlish figure. As with many dogs of the Shar-pei breed, Coco has some skin issues that required a lot of time to diagnose. She lost a lot of hair and had red, itchy skin for several months. All of that has cleared up now that we discovered she has an allergy to beef. Since her dietary change her fur has filled in and she is looking much happier and healthier. Coco is also dog selective. She can tend to be bossy with other dogs and not like her personal space invaded - don't we all? She will do best in a home with dogs her size - 25lb and up - and who are not much interested in dog to dog interaction. She just likes to do her own thing and quietly coexist with her doggy siblings. If Coco sounds like a good fit for you, please complete an adoption application to have her join your family! Coco is fostered in Smithfield, VA.

Story
Age: 2-3 yearsSex: femaleWeight: 45 lbsBreed: Red heeler mix Mabel is quite the treat!!! She is full of energy, has a HUGE personality and so much love to give. She absolutely loves toys and anything she can play with. She’s very self entertaining as well. She does need guidance with jumping as she gets so excited with human interaction. She is probably one of the sweetest gals we have and will make an amazing companion. She is dog selective, does not seem to mind cats when tested through a kennel and enjoys children. She needs an active family and we do believe she’ll do best as an only child. Her history is unknown and was a surrender to the shelter quite some time ago . ##1671181##
