Story
Looking to re-home our male Heeler mix, Jack. He will be 2 in December, is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He knows basic commands such as sit, here, wait, up, down, kennel. He is house trained and crate trained. He does well with other dogs and kids. He does well with cats if they are used to high energy dogs. One of our cats is still a kitten and they do great together. Our older cat is afraid of him as he does chase him. He likes to play, loves affection, and is always looking to please. Jack would best thrive in an active household. He would do fantastic on a farm as a working dog with a job, on acreage, or in a large fenced in yard. As a Heeler, his herding instincts tend to kick in and he will chase people walking and biking. He is a good dog, however he is not a good fit for our household. We do not have the time to provide him with enough mental and physical stimulation that he needs. Jack loves chew toys, walks, and the dog park.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cobre is a sweet and chill boy who loves being outside and running around the yard. He especially enjoys having his ears and neck scratched. At first he was very shy, but being around other dogs has already helped him come out of his shell so he'll need a confident companion dog in his adoptive home. He still has some skittish moments and is not fully potty trained, but he has shown quick improvement in just a short time and will likely continue to gain confidence with patience and consistency. Cobre came from a group of four abandoned puppies and is still  learning what it means to feel safe and loved. He makes his foster mom laugh by climbing into the water bowl to splash around. The only time he fusses is for a few minutes at night when first kenneled, and then he settles down. Cobre will thrive with a patient adopter who can give him time to adjust and a calm environment where he can feel secure as he blossoms into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. Cobre is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet LuckyLady, the happiest little whirlwind you’ll ever love! This sweet, affectionate girl is all heart—and all energy. When she gets excited (which is often), she may bounce, hop, and do her signature “morning donuts,” spinning in joyful circles the moment she sees you. LuckyLady gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and every person she meets. She’s incredibly friendly and loves attention, though she’s more of a “let’s play!” girl than a snuggly couch potato. Her attention span is short and her enthusiasm is huge, so she’ll sit with you for a moment before zooming off to see what fun she can find next. She’s not super into toys, but a squeaky toy will definitely get her ears perked and her head tilting. This girl is still learning her manners—she has “sit” mastered, but leash training and obedience are works in progress. She doesn’t mind the leash at all but may pull or run circles because she’s just so excited about life. She’s mostly potty trained but still needs frequent outdoor breaks, as she hasn’t quite figured out how to tell you she needs to go. Crate training is going well too—she may protest for a few minutes, but she settles quickly and quietly.  Here is a video of Lucky being such a good girl, taking a treat. LuckyLady is also petrified of stairs, likely because she hasn’t had much experience with indoor life. She’ll need patience, encouragement, and a family willing to help her learn the world isn’t so scary. Because of her high energy and bouncy personality, she may accidentally knock over small children, so a home with sturdier kids or adults would be ideal. But one thing’s for sure—she is incredibly sweet, eager to learn, and excited to meet new people every single day. If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy, loving companion who will brighten your mornings with her donut spins and your days with her big heart, LuckyLady is ready to dance her way into your home! LuckyLady is from an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Kentucky’s a gentle, quiet boy who had a rough start. As a result, he is timid with new people still but he is learning that humans can be friends. He really shines when he has a doggy best friend with him to give him a boost of confidence! He loves walks and would enjoy living with an active person or a home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play! His favorite part of day is outside time. He would never come back in if he had the choice. It often looks like he is smiling as he is laying in the grass. He’s got a little curly tail that pops up when he’s feeling good, and it’s a small sign that he’s getting there. Kentucky doesn’t need much—just time, kindness, and a calm home. Kentucky is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: As a transport driver for the OOTC 2025 rescue mission, I met many pups that were in need of our help. When this handsome guy caught my eye, I was certain he would be coming home with me until finding his forever home. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with this sweet boy, Sailor! Sailor is a typical Cattle Dog in many ways, (intelligent, clever, alert, energectic, loyal, curious, fun) but what surprised me the most was his calm demeanor and good behavior at home. His activity level is moderate to high, so he would thrive in a household that can incorporate daily walks, runs, or hikes into his routine. On our walks, Sailor does well on a leash with minimal pulling, especially when corrected. He's super friendly with other dogs and humans, this being the main reason for his need to pull. While he has a reasonable prey drive for squirrels, there are no major concerns. A fenced yard would be best, but not necessary. (He currently lives without one). Sailor hasn't interacted with cats but has adapted smoothly to living with my chihuahua mix and tri-pod. He learned quickly to respect their boundaries and to easily coexist with his two bossy foster sisters. He has been patient with my tri-pod and has taught her he can be trusted player. Sailor is fully potty trained, doesn't mark indoors, and is learning the comforts of his crate. Car rides have become his favorite activity knowing a pup cup is waiting for him at our favorite drive-thru. Sailor definitely has a soft side and loving heart. Although somewhat independent, he really enjoys snuggling up with both his humans and canines. At my office, he's known as the friendly pup who greets everyone behind the gate, seeking neck scratches, treats and their permission to leap over said gate! Cattle Dogs can often be nervous around quick moving children. He has spent a fair amount of time with young kids (3 &5) and has surprised me with how well he has done. On occasion, he displays his natural need to herd, but will responds to correction. This is something he will need to continue to work on, but I would not let it deter you from considering welcoming this A+ guy into your life. He's a wonderful adventurous companion with a lot of love to give!

Story
History: We recently welcomed a deserving litter of cattle dog pups who are SO beautiful and sweet in their own unique ways. They are officially ready to start accepting adoption interest and hope to each find their forever homes soon! A Note from the Foster: Hi I'm Colt! I'm a curious, fun loving little guy! All I want to do is play and check out all the new things. I'm learning how to walk on a leash. Sometimes I like to grab the leash in my mouth and pull my foster mom along. I'm trying to figure out if this could be a fun game of tug-o-war or not. Currently in potting training. My foster mom's dog is showing me how fun it is to go potty outside on walks, and that outside things are not snacks. I'm a smart little guy so I'm sure I'll catch on when I'm a little bit older. I sleep well in my kennel at night. I'd rather be hanging out with you so I might cry for about 15 minutes but then I go to sleep. I'm hoping you'll give me lots of exercise and mental stimulation since I'm a cattle dog, which is a high energy breed. If I don't get mental stimulation I might create my own fun. I'm known to steal a slipper or find some good tissue paper to shred. I'm sure I'd be a great running or hiking buddy someday! I would do well in a house with no young children. I don't understand their fast movements and it makes me scared. I don't know how to properly interact with them right now. My foster mom hopes you will love me and show me the good life! I'm incredibly cute and just want to be where ever you are!
