He especially enjoys having his ears and neck scratched. At first he was very shy, but being around other dogs has already helped him come out of his shell so he'll need a confident companion dog in his adoptive home. He still has some skittish moments and is not fully potty trained, but he has shown quick improvement in just a short time and will likely continue to gain confidence with patience and consistency. Cobre came from a group of four abandoned puppies and is still learning what it means to feel safe and loved. He makes his foster mom laugh by climbing into the water bowl to splash around. The only time he fusses is for a few minutes at night when first kenneled, and then he settles down. Cobre will thrive with a patient adopter who can give him time to adjust and a calm environment where he can feel secure as he blossoms into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. As a result, he is timid with new people still but he is learning that humans can be friends. He really shines when he has a doggy best friend with him to give him a boost of confidence! Brooks is doing great in his foster home and showing what a loving, affectionate boy he is. He loves to cuddle and wants to be close to his people whenever possible. House training is coming along with just a few accidents, and he’s learning quickly—especially by watching his foster dog siblings. He prefers having someone in the yard with him and is gaining confidence each day. Brooks does very well in his kennel at night and settles after a brief whine when left alone. He’s outgrowing his current kennel and will need a larger one as he continues to grow. He’s fantastic with other dogs and loves playing and hanging out with his two young foster sisters. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet. He enjoys squeaky toys, chews, and playful herding games with his dog friends. Brooks is athletic, can jump well, and is still learning not to counter surf. He walks nicely on a leash without pulling and is learning basic manners, including keeping all four paws on the floor. Brooks can be vocal when he wants attention but is otherwise a sweet, playful, and snuggly pup ready for a home to grow with him. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks.
