Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. She simply needs time and patience to build trust. Once she does, she bonds deeply. ‍ Bonds quickly with women ‍ Slower to trust men Would do best in a home with older kids (she’s a little jumpy and sensitive about her tail) No cats due to prey drive (not officially tested) Best as the only dog—she’s shown nervous behavior around others Her Ideal Home: Sneakers needs a calm, structured home with patient humans who’ll give her space and support as she decompresses. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest soul. She loves: Tummy rubs Hand-holding (yes, really!) Walks in the park Sunbathing Taking treats ever so gently She’s a total mama’s girl, and I know she’ll thrive in the right adoptive home—one that sees the loving, loyal dog she already is. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well. ##1986660##

Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Sweetie lives up to her name. She is full of love and ready to find her forever home. She’s got a beautiful white coat and is working on finding the right ways to show her abundance of love and happiness. Sweetie thinks she’s a lap dog and loves to lounge on the futon or the couch while snuggling her person. At 20 months she still has some puppy energy in her and burns that off playing chase with the resident dog in the backyard. Sweetie gets along well with other dogs about her same size. She doesn’t quite understand personal space and that she’s a bit bigger. She would be good as an only dog or with a sidekick to show her the ropes. Sweetie might be a bit much with younger kids but good for older kids that are active and love to play outside. Sweetie does have limited vision however she has adapted well to her foster home without accommodation. She does fine getting around without assistance and does the stairs without issues. Sweetie is still working on learning to take walks on a leash. Her vision and lack of confidence comes out. A fenced yard would be great for Sweetie. Her foster mom says Sweetie loves to run laps around the leaf piles in the backyard and has become comfortable navigating the yard on her own. Sweetie really is a sweetheart trying to live her best life. She loves to give licks and nose boops. Sweetie loves to carry her toys around the house and an occasional shoe or 2 have been found in her bed.

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Andri (or as we call her, Lady) is the sweetest, shyest girl with the softest soul. She loves people but greets new faces timidly, often making herself small and rolling onto her back to show her belly as a way of politely saying hello. While this isn’t always an invitation for belly rubs at first, once she’s comfortable, she truly enjoys them. She has the cutest little cow-spotted belly and is quite possibly the softest dog you’ll ever meet. Andri did wonderfully at her grooming appointment and handled it like a champ. She absolutely loves being outside, even on cold and blustery days. She does great on walks and is gaining confidence every time she heads out. While she appreciates having her own space and some quiet alone time, she will seek out affection when she’s in the mood. She’s still learning the art of snuggling, but she’s making progress. She’s also starting to get the littlest bouts of zoomies! It’s so cute watching her playful side come out of its shell. One of Andri’s most endearing traits is her love for TV! Her adorable head tilts are a hoot! She has done very well with free roam of the house while her fosters are at work, with no accidents. Previous fosters shared that she was comfortable in a crate, though she hasn’t shown much interest in one recently and has done well without it. Andri is currently carrying a little extra weight, so a consistent diet and daily walks will be important to help her reach her healthiest self. In the past, Andri lived with other dogs and was reported to get a bit uncomfortable when dogs roughhoused too close to her crate. She is currently living as the only pet in the home. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Andri would do best in a calm household with no kids or a home with older kids who understand and respect her boundaries. She truly enjoys peace, quiet, and having a bit of space to feel safe and secure. Andri is a gentle, thoughtful girl who will blossom beautifully in a patient, loving home that appreciates her calm nature and kind heart.

Story
History: We received a plea to help a group of male adult dogs from a local hoarding situation. It broke our hearts to see the condition the homeowner and dogs were living in. The dogs were welcomed to a temporary housing situation by a local rescuer when the homeowner was hospitalized. Unfortunately, the homeowner passed away days later. It is a heartbreaking situation and we promise to give these boys fulfilling and loving lives. They are working on their trust and confidence and doing better each day! A Note from the Foster: This sweet boy came from a hard past and is learning that people can be kind and safe. Each day, Jeeves’s trust continues to grow, and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch him come out of his shell. He absolutely loves other dogs, enjoys going for walks, and is highly food-motivated, which makes bonding and training easier. Jeeves has no aggression whatsoever and is a bit timid with people. He’s full of personality—he makes the cutest little whines to communicate, loves to roll around, and has the softest hair you can imagine. When he’s not out exploring or socializing, Jeeves is perfectly content to sleep most of the day, happily recharging for his next adventure. He does have some marking behavior, but Jeeves is scheduled to be altered, which should help. He currently wears a belly band, and his marking has greatly decreased, showing real progress. Jeeves does not like being kenneled and would do best in a home where he can have freedom, comfort, and patience as he continues to adjust. With love, consistency, and understanding, Jeeves will make a wonderful companion for someone ready to give him the second chance he deserves. 🐾💙
