Navy Bean is a 5-month-old Australian Shepherd mix. She was abandoned in her dog crate in an alley way. Thankfully, a good Samaritan found her and brought her to us. And luckily, Navy was healthy and unharmed. We immediately sent her to foster.Navy was not potty trained when she first arrived, but after just 3 days, she was! She is very smart, a fast learner, and sweet as can be! She is being fostered with another puppy named Harlowe, and those 2 have quickly become best buds! Navy is still in her puppy phase, and she is right in the middle of her "biting everything and everyone" phase! By that, we mean the puppy nibbles phase. But we are working on that as we speak. She is being crate trained and learning how to walk politely on a leash - and doing great at both!Navy's favorite thing in the world is playtime with her bff, Harlowe. They love to run around and chase each other in their foster mom's fenced in backyard! Navy has been spayed, is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Sweetie lives up to her name. She is full of love and ready to find her forever home. She’s got a beautiful white coat and is working on finding the right ways to show her abundance of love and happiness. Sweetie thinks she’s a lap dog and loves to lounge on the futon or the couch while snuggling her person. At 20 months she still has some puppy energy in her and burns that off playing chase with the resident dog in the backyard. Sweetie gets along well with other dogs about her same size. She doesn’t quite understand personal space and that she’s a bit bigger. She would be good as an only dog or with a sidekick to show her the ropes. Sweetie might be a bit much with younger kids but good for older kids that are active and love to play outside. Sweetie does have limited vision however she has adapted well to her foster home without accommodation. She does fine getting around without assistance and does the stairs without issues. Sweetie is still working on learning to take walks on a leash. Her vision and lack of confidence comes out. A fenced yard would be great for Sweetie. Her foster mom says Sweetie loves to run laps around the leaf piles in the backyard and has become comfortable navigating the yard on her own. Sweetie really is a sweetheart trying to live her best life. She loves to give licks and nose boops. Sweetie loves to carry her toys around the house and an occasional shoe or 2 have been found in her bed.

History: Garner is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hiiii! I’m Garner!! And I’m basically a fluffy Christmas snowflake sent straight from the North Pole!!!” OH MY GOSH HELLO!!!! I’m Garner, the happiest, wiggliest mini-Aussie in the whole wide world! I wake up every morning like, “WOW!!! I HAVE LEGS FOR PRANCING AND A HEART FULL OF CHRISTMAS CHEER!!!” I’m pretty sure Santa personally approved me because I have maximum joy and eyes that sparkle like twinkle lights over Buddy’s favorite spaghetti dinner. Here are some VERY official facts about me: I LOVE PEOPLE! I run to them like Buddy runs through the revolving door—fast, excited, and in circles. I’m super smart. Mini Aussie brain = big elf energy. I learn new things FAST because treats are motivational (and delicious). I herd things. Snowflakes? Toys? Your slippers? I must gather them. It’s who I am. I LOVE TOYS. If it squeaks, crinkles, jingles, or even kind of looks like an elf—IT’S MY FAVORITE. Food? YEP. If you drop spaghetti (with or without syrup), I will be there in 0.0004 seconds. Zoomies. Don’t even get me started. I zoom like someone plugged me directly into the Christmas tree lights. I’m also very good at snuggling. Like, ELITE. If you sit down with a blanket, I will magically appear, like Buddy popping out from behind Christmas decorations. Together we can do SO MANY festive things, like: Watch Elf and bark when the narwhal says “Bye Buddy, hope you find your dad!” Go for snowy walks so I can prance like a tiny reindeer Decorate the tree (I’m GREAT at supervising ornaments… and occasionally stealing them) Sit by the fire while I practice my best “I’m a sweet angel baby” face “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is adopting Garner right heeeere!” If you want a mini Aussie who loves big, sparkles hard, and brings joy the way Buddy brings chaos, I’m your boy.
