Believe it or not, I'm almost ten years old. Yes, it's true. I'm like the Keanu Reeves of dogs. Or maybe Keanu Reeves is the Frisco of humans. Both of us, permanently in our prime. Say, are you here to take me home? I really hope so! Every time I see a car, I perk up and watch to see if it's my ride outta here. So far, no dice. I remain stubbornly unadopted. I try not to spend too much energy worrying about the reasons why. I mean, I know I'm a great dog. I mean, I've lived with and done well with little kids, including toddlers. I'm good with cats. I haven't lived with dogs or had much contact with them in the shelter, so I'm not sure what I'd think of them yet, but I'd be happy to meet yours before going home with them. I check a LOT of "very good boy" boxes! And, even though I haven't got the distinguished gray face yet, I do have some of the maturity that comes with being a grown-up dog. I can be left alone without destroying things, I walk nicely on leash, and I know my basic commands. I'm gregarious and cuddly and I make friends quickly. So I'll keep on watching out for my ride. This handsome boy came to us after his previous owners realized their long work hours just weren’t a good fit for such an active, intelligent breed. Cattle dogs like Woody thrive when they have a job to do, plenty of exercise, and time with their people. In his previous home, Woody lived with dogs, cats, and children, and his owners shared that he was housebroken. He’s a playful, energetic guy who loves toys and enjoys staying busy, whether that’s playing fetch, going for walks, or learning something new. Woody would do best in a home where he’ll get plenty of attention, activity, and mental stimulation. Rusty, Sweet neutered male, is a bit shy at first but warms up to people quickly. Rusty plays well with other dogs and is curious about cats. He lives in a home with five cats, 2 dogs and a 7 year old. He loves playing fetch with the ball and is working on bringing it back and dropping the ball. Rusty does well in his kennel at night, and when no one is home. He uses a dog door and is house trained. Rusty likes to go on walks however it is best to go early in the morning or late in the day when there is not a lot of traffic or people. He gets scared by the cars. And since we have no idea what kind f life he had before he was saved by the rescue, it is just something he needs practice and confidence building ;) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
