Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Luna came to our rescue over 2 years ago with her puppies. She was an incredible momma. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. When this sweet, loving girl came to DASH she was fearful and shy with little confidence. She came a long way while a part of our DASH Prison Training Program where she learned all of her basic commands and worked on her socialization and fearfulness. She is now in a foster home where she's blossomed even more. She loves to take car rides and go on adventures and loves her walks. She is highly intelligent, affectionate and loyal. She loves everyone she has met as her foster parents have frequent guests over. She has been around older children and loves to play with them. She has not been around small kids or babies. She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. Luna is not cat-friendly, but she loves other dogs and even allows the foster home's new 9 lb puppy to play, groom and climb all over her. She is also crate trained and housebroken. She is almost just the perfect all around dog for any family or person who is ready to give her the time and love she deserves along with some great adventures. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. "Caden is the sweetest pup I've ever had. He greets everyone and loves attention. AWESOME DOG".   He loves cuddling and taking naps with his person but only after a good fetch session or a brisk walk.   Caden is a calmer boy who has lower energy and very affectionate with his humans.  He is friends with everyone and all dogs.  Caden is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash.  He is currently in the DASH prison program and doing very well  with learning basic commands  He is very food motivated which has made him easy to train however, he can be food greedy and doesn't know when to stop eating. His trainer says "Caden knows his cues and is well-mannered and sociable. He's affectionate and playful and ready for his furever home where he would make an incredible companion". Due to his current foster placement he has not been introduced to children of any age or cats, so proper introductions to both are needed.  If Caden sounds like your perfect match then apply today to meet him at https://dashrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 9:30 am

Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
Meet Stewie! Stewie came to us after being surrendered to our veterinary partner. He is a happy, outgoing guy ready for a fresh start! As with any young puppy, and especially a young Cattle Dog type mix, Stewie's new home should be prepared to invest time into training, socialization, and an outlet for his energy. He is a spunky guy always ready for the next adventure! Stewie previously lived with another puppy and does well with other dogs. Stewie knows a few basic skills like "sit", and loves to work for treats or toys which makes training very easy! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Stewie home. If you are interested in meeting Stewie, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. A year ago I was found in a box with no mom in sight and sent to a Texas shelter. Speak for the Unspoken broke me out of doggy jail and brought me to Ohio. My short young life had been extremely hard so when I arrived at my foster home I was terrified of everything and almost completely shut down. Over time and with lots of patience my foster family gained my trust and showed me that life isn’t so scary. My furry foster siblings also gave me confidence to be brave and explore. My foster Mom is extremely proud of all the progress I’ve made over the last year. She says I’m ready to find my forever family to keep building the confidence and trust I need to fulfill my full potential. So let me tell you all about me! Today I am a happy bouncy dog that LOVES to play. Toys are the best. I enjoy tugging on a rope, chasing balls, destroying any stuffy in site, oh…..and my new favorite trying to catch a frisbee. Being chased by my foster siblings with a toy in my mouth is always a bonus. Playing “keep away” is fun. After playing I enjoy curling up on a soft pillow or couch to rest. I also love sleeping next to someone in bed at night. That way I know I’m not alone. If you need an assistant in the kitchen I’m here to help. Picking up dropped food is my specialty . I especially like carrots and cheese. It’s a good way to build my trust. My forever family will need to have patience and an understanding that it will take time for me to trust. Another dog with my energy level in the home is best to help me navigate my new situation. Plus, I really don’t care for cats and am very focused on catching small animals. So a dog only home is required. New situations are still scary for me. So a fence is a must, to keep me safe.I promise if you have the time and patience I will show you the bouncy, happy, silly and loyal boy that I truly am. I am neutered and up to date on all my vaccinations. If interested please fill out an application on the Speak for the Unspoken website.***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES.
