Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Raymond: Everybody Loves Raymond! His handler says “Raymond is smart, very affectionate, loves to cuddle and sleep with you. He loves to play with other dogs but more than anything he wants to please his humans.” We cannot understand why this handsome fella is still here. He only wants affection and cuddles with his people. Currently, he is in our DASH Prison Training Program where he is excelling with basic commands like “sit, stay, down, wait, and leave it.” He is being set up for success in his new home.  He is housebroken and does well in his crate (although he would rather be next to his person). The only training he needs your help with is not pulling while walking. Like most young dogs, Raymond can be excitable when he sees new people. This can lead to him jumping and pulling. As quickly as he learns, it likely won’t take long to correct this behavior. He will just need continued guidance and practice with you as he acclimates to his new environment. Raymond loves to be outdoors to run and play, a yard or somewhere to run would be ideal. He has not been kid or cat-tested yet, so proper introductions will be necessary. Raymond loves all people and would be a great addition to any family! Heelers are typically known to be good family dogs. It is his turn! Raymond loves everyone…. And Everybody Loves Raymond. Come meet him today!! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Story
Have you been thinking you might want a cattle dog? If so, visit with Lewis! Lewis NEEDS someone who WANTS and understands this breed and all that they require. He is a herding type dog who is at his happiest when he has a full-time job. These kinds of dogs have high prey drive, can be nippy (that is how they instinctually herd) and are very vocal; he is NOT recommended for homes with young children, small dogs, cats or other small animals who he may find fun to chase. Lewis is very smart and takes direction well and he needs that consistency and structure, otherwise he will find his own way to entertain himself. Lewis is a friendly guy who really enjoys treats and all the petting that you're willing to give him! If you want an active, super smart companion and can provide for his needs, Lewis just may be the dog you are looking for. If you are interested in meeting Lewis, please submit an adoption form found on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com. Once received, we will contact you to arrange a visit. Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. A physically fenced yard is required. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Hi! PARMIGIANA here! But you can call me Parmi for short!I am a sweet, friendly 5 month old pup that loves being with people, playing outside with people and friendly dogs. A nice yard to play in would be perfect! I am learning to walk on a leash and I can be a tad strong for a pup;) I am treat motivated so a little more training on the leash and I should be your best walking/run buddy. The rescue people aren't real sure of my breed, but there's an app for that! The Dog Scanner app has Cattledog, beagle, Carolina Dog, JRT and more so I guess you could call me a Super Mutt. Whatever I am, I'm a cutie!!!I am a confident pup and very friendly. I love exploring, being with people, toys and treats. I take treats very gently. After play time, I love to relax with my people. Oh, and I know the sit command! I am looking forward to learning a bunch more!I cant wait to find my forever family. Wont you please consider adding me to your family? I am a real fun pup!Yours (I hope),PARMIGIANA / PARMI***As long as our dogs are on the website they are available. Applications can be found at CanineCollective.org*** Note: Without a DNA test or direct information about the parents, the breed listed is based on our best guess or from the use of breed identification apps

Story
Dany is a 7 year old cattle dog mix. She’s got lots of energy and needs a way to let that energy out, an active family or a big yard would be perfect for her. She’s a sweet girl that loves to love. She loves to be petted and gives lots of kisses. She’s a food motivated girl and never lets you miss a meal. She needs to be in a home where she is and will be the only dog in the family. She’s good with kids but doesn’t do well with them crawling all over her. If you’re looking for a good companion you won’t find a better one in Dany. She’s the best girl who deserves the best home and best family. If you love her she’s going to love you. She’s not big on toys but will have the best time with the cardboard insert of a paper towel roll.
