Story
Nessa is a very sweet loving dog. She lives in a house with a 15lb and 50lb dog, 2 cats, and 3 kids ranging 2yr-7yr old. 0 issues with getting along with anyone in the house. No food aggression or biting or anything. Loves sleeping in our bed with us between the pillows! The reason for rehoming is strictly tied to her anxiety. We are a very busy household (as I am sure you can imagine!) and does not do well by herself. We tried crate training like the other two dogs but she shreds everything that goes in there and tries to dig out to the point she hurts herself. No blankets or anything just felt very inhumane so we kept her out. She chews on the kids toys and gets into stuff. She needs a farm to run around or a home where her owners are there more often than not. We love her to death but don’t feel we are providing her with the life she deserves. Current on everything and very well taken care of. Adoption fee strictly to weed out those who are not serious.

Story
Walter is a 4-year-old Heeler/Border Collie mix we have had since he was a puppy. He is fully house broken and Kennel trained. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and on flea and parasite prevention (Simparico). Unfortunately Walter needs a new home and it is not his fault. Walter’s brother does not like him. They are litter mates and we have been told that is the cause of their conflict. After consulting with our vet, we have made the difficult decision to rehome Walter for the well-being of both dogs. It is important to note that Walter is not the aggressor in these situations however our other healer is 100% not re-homeable. Having to re-home Walter is heartbreaking for us. Please consider giving my buddy a home. You will not regret it. Also, his Kennel comes with him and I will provide a bag of his food. Please consider giving this absolute sweetheart of a dog a home.

Story
Silky soft, snuggly, and eager to please all the people he meets. Oakley is willing to trust new people, show his belly, give kisses. Knows 'sit,' 'lie down,' and getting acquainted with 'stay,' 'leave it,' and 'get down. Very interested in other dogs, but willing to be instructed to 'leave it' and carry on walking when we passed yards or houses with barking dogs. Fairly good on a leash. Very energetic, will be a good companion for someone athletic. But also Willing to hang out quietly while I you work on the computer or watched TV; even willing to ignore the nearby cats most of time. Curious about them but not wanting to interact with them. Before considering him as a pet do research on the breed. He is a herding dog and will try to steer you where he thinks you need to go. This will include nipping at your heels and hands if they are by your side. He will be good with older kids that understand his behavior. He is in a foster home so if you are interested in adoptiong me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.  Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.    November 6, 2024, 3:21 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Luna came to our rescue with puppies. She was an incredible momma. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. She loves walks and just discovered how much she loves the sand volleyball court! This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence. She has made great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " Luna is better than a good pet, she's a good friend and a great roommate". When you wake up, she's looking at you like "What are we going to do today?", but she is not afraid to be alone either. She will do best with a person who responds in a calm, relaxed approach. She is highly intelligent, affectionate and loyal and attaches quickly to one person. She loves everyone though. She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love and patience to show her she is safe and part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other dogs, just not puppies. She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Just look at this beautiful girl! Polo is blue heeler/Australian Cattle mix who is eager to learn and play. She is learning her basic commands at our DASH Prison Training program. So far, the feedback has been great! She loves people, gets along well with other dogs,  although she does claim her toys, she is willing to share her food.  She loves both men and women. She has not been tested with children or cats. Her trainer says she loves to play and gets the zoomies so exercise will be necessary. Her recall is excellent, she loves to be the center of attention and will be right by your side to cuddle.  Her friendliness is a great attribute.  She is housebroken, crate and leash trained.  She does well in crowds and tolerates bathing.  Her trainer says, "Polo gets very excited when you talk to her, loves to be petted and being by your side. She loves treats, learns new things fast and plays very well with other dogs.  She has the cutest soft play growl. She is very happy and loyal".
