Story
Pinto is one of a litter of puppies born to a very pregnant Australian Cattle Dog that took refuge at a ranch in the country. She was actively giving birth to the puppies on the day we took her in. The mother is a full-blooded Australian Cattle Dog, and we have a consensus that the father was probably a Great Pyrenees. Pinto is now over months of age and weighs around 40 pounds. Pinto and his siblings are all very sweet and gentle pups. They are a bit shy towards new people but warm up quickly. Pinto loves toys and treats, and wrestling with his siblings. Pinto is a bit shy. He is still very young and will need obedience training, house training, and socialization. Pinto has never been around cats but would probably get along with them if properly introduced. Pinto is a very sweet, gentle little boy that must be protected from rough treatment by children and big dogs that might hurt her. Pinto must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and it would be best if he had a secure, fenced yard to explore and play. Pinto is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPPvL2, Bordetella, Rabies), and microchipped. He has been started on, and is receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Pinto's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Zanesville Ohio. He is being fostered in Texas and we cannot afford to send him north until after he is adopted. Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Meet Basil (pronounced 'Bay-Sil' like the herb, not the British pronunciation) Gender: Female Age: 2 years and 9 months Current Weight: 40 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Miniature American Shepherd/Border Collie/German Shepherd mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: No, and cannot live with other dogs. Basil plays very well with the two other dogs she lives with, but is occasionally aggressive with the smaller one. She is also very anxious and fearful around new dogs and this presents as reactivity that can be aggressive. She does some resource-guarding with other animals but not people. Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: Unknown Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Likes: Basil loves playing frisbee, running off-leash in contained areas away from other dogs, peanut butter, Trader Joe's maple/pumpkin/bacon "Stuffies" that come out every fall, sleeping on the couch or in bed, getting morning and evening snuggles (she's very affectionate), and swimming. She also loves belly and ear rubs and being outside in the sun and 'hunting' for squirrels/rabbits as much as possible. Dislikes: She gets car sick (so usually don't feed her before long car rides) and has some minor separation anxiety when left alone. She also has a natural prey drive and is not a big fan of squirrels and bunnies. Ideal Home/Adopter: Basil would do so well as the only dog in a home with more than one person; she would thrive having other people and kids to play with and who would throw the frisbee for her. She is also used to having someone home most of the time and love the idea of her having an adult who works from home or is a stay-at-home parent. What makes this dog special: Basil is truly the most beautiful dog we have ever met and she is so athletic and smart and good-natured with people. She loves to run and play and has learned how to catch the frisbee (her favorite thing). Basil's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Basil, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1669708##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Zane was born on August 22, 2022. I originally got him for my grandmother and we realized that he has a bit too much energy. Zane was found on buckeyepuppies.com website. He is full of energy and fun. He has been around kids ages 2-7 and done well. Zane does not do well with other dogs when he is inside. He goes to daycare at Play All Day in New Albany and does really well there. He struggles sharing toys and his space with other animals. I have a husky and after 4 days or so he does BETTER but still nips at him and my husky is very patient. I think he could be trained to be okay with other dogs. Especially ones smaller than him. He is about 38lbs. He barks when he sees other dogs outside of my window and sometimes on his leash. He does well off leash walking free and will come to “Zane come treat”. He is potty trained and has been in the cage for up to 10 hours with no accidents. He loves chewing bones and toys.
