Story
We adopted Auzzie when he was only 2 months old and have had him for the past nine years. He is extremely loyal, listens well, and is smart. He always walks by someone's side in the house and loves being around people. He is good with other dogs and cats in the house. He loves to be pet, but does not like to be grabbed or hugged. I have a little sister with some developmental issues that does not understand his boundaries. He will occasionally nip at her when she crosses these boundaries and we are scared that she will continue to become braver in regards to grabbing him. He is in need of a home without little children, but will be fine with older ones. He tends to have some anxiety when left at home alone as well. He is a very companion driven dog and would thrive in a new home with more experienced pet owners. He loves going on walks and car rides.

Story
Hi, I'm Midge! I have a classic name, an adorable underbite, and enough spunk to keep you on your toes for hours! My foster mom tells me that my favorite activity is shopping in our toy bin. As soon as I find something to enjoy, it's time to go looking for the next toy. I'm one year old, I burn most of my calories wagging my tail when I'm with my foster family or walking across the backs of their couches. I might be part cat! I'm just a little thing. I weigh 24 pounds but I hold my own with my 70 pound and 50 pound foster (dog) siblings. I'm very interested in kitties but I like to bark at them a LOT, so it may be best if my forever family are dog-only people. I'm crate trained, potty trained, fully-vetted, and have been working on commands with my foster dad, but since I care more about attention than food, it's been a little slow going. But I LOVE to work on training because it means I get affection. I absolutely love my people. I'm a little shy when first meeting people or other dogs but I warm up really quickly. If you're looking for a friend who will always want to be near you, will always be excited to see you, and who will make you smile all the time, well, you found me! Adoption fee is $200. She is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   June 3, 2023, 10:50 pm

Story
Boltund is one interesting guy. He is very athletic, and can have spurts of energy but his general energy is not super hyper like you would think considering the husky breed that he is mixed with. He does well on the leash and is sometimes obedient about not jumping when you ask him not to. He is a highly trainable dog. He is pretty good with other dogs but can be a lot of energy while playing so it may be a bit much for some dogs. He also seemed a bit intense with the cats, but it is hard to tell because our cat testing capabilities are limited. Boltund is good with kids and adults of all sorts. He does require a high fence as he can jump very high.

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Buford - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I will be 'Walking Tall' when my dream of a family comes to be! As being named after Buford Pusser a legendary figure holding the title of youngest sheriff in Tennessee history. I'm up for keeping my family safe also. I'll offer up my tummy for cherished belly rubs distracting anyone so you can make a quick getaway!!:) At only around 10 months I am very obedient and treat motivated to learn so much! I should stay around my 63lbs (depending on treat intake!!) and make a great size to share life adventures with. That makes lots of me for you to love and I give back tenfold!!!! I know some basic commands, walk well on the leash, am food motivated, friendly and sweet natured that will make a great family addition. Whether you like to go on neighborhood strolls, camping or hiking, river excursions to cool off when it gets hot, going to the park or day trips in the car, I'm right there with you, happy as a clam at high tide or in my case... a pupper with a loving family. With my gorgeous shiny merle coat, we'll be getting lots of head turns as we walk by. A handsome stud muffin that has is sweet and friendly, playful and obedient. That's a boatload of great personality traits I've got going on. The only thing I don't have yet...is YOU!!

Story
Twister is a good dog, loyal and protective. Lots of energy, loves to be outside and go on walks. He and his sister coco play together all day. Unfortunately, he has bit our toddler a few times, thinking he is playing. Since out daughter has special needs, we cannot explain to her how to play properly with Twister. He does well with children a little older, as he is best friends with our 11 year old son. He really is a good dog, and I don't want to rehome him, but we have to for our daughter.

Story
Hello Dolly.... This cute Cattledog mix is a hurricane Ida survivor. Yep, rode all the way from Louisiana. Dolly is timid and takes a bit to get to know but once you do she is very affectionate and loving. Sometimes overly loving as she thinks she may be a lap dog. Dolly will need a family who can keep working on her social skills. She is a herding dog and will "herd" kids so no little kids for her new home. Dolly is house trained as long as she gets to go out frequently. She gets along with most other dogs but does take a slow introduction. As you can suspect she is very scared of storms, gun shots and loud banging so she will need a place to hide to feel comfortable when they occur. Story
Argos is a super sweet and easy going 5 month old puppy who is a little guy. He loves to be where his person is, either playing with toys at your feet or following you around. He will gladly jump into your lap, sometimes unexpectedly, when he wants pets. This charmer will give kisses upon request. He will go into the crate with treats but doesn’t always like to be in there but will eventually settle down. Argos sleeps through the night, no accidents. He is mostly potty trained, he just needs to be shown where he is to go out so he can alert you. His zoomies and playing with toys often come with sound effects and may need a reminder to calm down. He does respond to redirection or correction and will thrive with the typical puppy training. He also sits like a champ. Argos is more of a recreational walker, stopping to sit and take in the sights. He loves to play with other dogs. Outside he chases birds, bugs and squirrels so I am guessing he would chase a cat, which he has never met. We might not know what kind of dog he is but he sure is a fun one that may be too much for some kids. Is Argos the sweet, playful, lovable dose of puppy goodness your house needs? Apply to adopt Argos at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt! He is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. His adoption fee is $335. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Have you seen or heard of the famous Doofensmertz?! Did you know he has the sweetest personality and is friendly to everyone he meets?! He loves playing with people and dogs, but don’t get offended if he chooses a dog over you! He does prefer bigger dogs as he thinks smaller animals are food. It is also best that the other dog knows how to set limits as Doofensmertz could simply PLAY ALL DAY and would do best in an active family. Don’t let a little whining when he goes in the crate deter you from this adorable doggo! He is smart and may even let you teach him a few tricks other than the ones he already knows (sit and down)! He also walks well on a leash and with consistency has been accident free! He is easily redirected when he thinks a shoe is a toy. He is weaned off his anxiety medications and sometimes walks with some stiffness in his leg, but otherwise an agile, playful boy! If Doofensmertz seems like the right fit for you, please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. Adoption fee is $260.00. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
