Story
Rugby is a sweet and intelligent Red Heeler. We received him at 3 years old from a friend that moved and had a baby and could not care for Rugby. He loves to snuggle under your chin, and he love being close and comfy. When we received him he had never been on a leash or played with other dogs. His best friend is our moms dog, and Rugby and her play wonderful together. He is now 7 years old. We have a new grandbaby, and he has been over protected with him. Now that he is a toddler, he has shown aggressiveness with him by pushing him, snapping at him, and scratching him. We have decided that Rugby would be best with someone without small children. He also is aggressive with male dogs. He loves to go camping and hiking, but is protective at the campsite (much like most dogs are). We are hoping that a family with older kids or adults would want to love on him. He absolutely loves to go on walks, and is leash trained now. He is a great dog. Sweet. And would be a great companion.

Meet Koda! This 1-year-old Red Heeler is full of energy, personality, and goofy charm. He’s a fun-loving boy who doesn’t love the crate but will tolerate it when needed. Koda is heartworm positive (treatment covered) and came from a hoarding case, but he hasn’t let that dim his spirit. He’d thrive in an active home ready for adventure and laughs!

Story
Meet Gunner! Gunner is a lovable 5-year-old and he has quickly proven himself to be the ultimate “in-your-pocket” companion. This affectionate boy absolutely adores lap snuggles and treats — and he hasn’t missed a meal yet!  Gunner is wonderfully gentle with other animals. Cats are his friends — he’ll give them a curious sniff but never chases or bothers them. On his foster’s farm, he’s perfectly content watching and sniffing chickens, ducks, and turkeys without harming them. He’s also respectful around horses. He’s not your typical herd dog; he won’t try to move them, though he may give a bark from the fence just to say hello. He’s not much of a runner, but he enjoys leisurely walks and does well on a harness. Gunner is on the heavier side, so regular strolls and a healthy routine will help keep him feeling his best. A small yard suits him just fine — he goes out to potty and comes right back in when called. Gunner loves meeting new people and greets everyone with warmth and affection. If you’re searching for a devoted, gentle, snuggly companion who simply wants to be by your side, Gunner is ready to fill that role perfectly. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 13, 2026, 9:47 pm

A year ago I was found in a box with no mom in sight and sent to a Texas shelter. Speak for the Unspoken broke me out of doggy jail and brought me to Ohio. My short young life had been extremely hard so when I arrived at my foster home I was terrified of everything and almost completely shut down. Over time and with lots of patience my foster family gained my trust and showed me that life isn’t so scary. My furry foster siblings also gave me confidence to be brave and explore. My foster Mom is extremely proud of all the progress I’ve made over the last year. She says I’m ready to find my forever family to keep building the confidence and trust I need to fulfill my full potential. So let me tell you all about me! Today I am a happy bouncy dog that LOVES to play. Toys are the best. I enjoy tugging on a rope, chasing balls, destroying any stuffy in site, oh…..and my new favorite trying to catch a frisbee. Being chased by my foster siblings with a toy in my mouth is always a bonus. Playing “keep away” is fun. After playing I enjoy curling up on a soft pillow or couch to rest. I also love sleeping next to someone in bed at night. That way I know I’m not alone. If you need an assistant in the kitchen I’m here to help. Picking up dropped food is my specialty . I especially like carrots and cheese. It’s a good way to build my trust. My forever family will need to have patience and an understanding that it will take time for me to trust. Another dog with my energy level in the home is best to help me navigate my new situation. Plus, I really don’t care for cats and am very focused on catching small animals. So a dog only home is required. New situations are still scary for me. So a fence is a must, to keep me safe.I promise if you have the time and patience I will show you the bouncy, happy, silly and loyal boy that I truly am. I am neutered and up to date on all my vaccinations. Story
Chalupa is a 7-year-old, calm, family-friendly dog who gets along well with other pets and children. Hes great on walks and has never shown aggression. He does have some marking habits but this has not been that bad lately, likely due to separation anxiety, and is currently overweight. With a growing family and limited space, we’re looking for a new home that can offer him the care and attention he deserves.
