Story
We have been keeping her for about a year, trying to find her a permanent home, but without success so far. Her back story is long and complicated, but boils down to she has been deemed too reactive to be taken by shelters/rescues we've contacted and does much better in the less stressful environment of a home. We have taken her to several trainers and are actively working to get her less reactive. She is improving, but she is still too much stress for our home, which is likely how she got dumped. She is a beautifully colored, high energy 2.5? year old dog who is very athletic and learns very quickly. She loves to play with balls, toys, cats, dogs, anything really, except for children. Like many Cattle Dogs, she is very reactive, particularly to things/people that move quickly or surprise her. She is very affectionate to her few people she claims, but is very bossy and gets overstimulated easily. She needs someone familiar with herding dog behaviors and wants a high energy dog.

Story
Meet Star Burns! He’s a little old man that still has some spunk left. Star Burns found his way to rescue by being abandoned from his family in a parking lot. Since then he's had a full dental and a good checkup! He's around 9 years old, loves walks and toys - he’s easy to entertain! He would gladly fetch a ball in the living room or yard, go on a walk or event run if you want (he’s a spry ole guy). And at only 25 lb he's perfect for condo or apartment life. Star Burns is ready for his retirement and he qualifies for our Senior Soulmate program so get your application in today! Adoption fee is $200.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   September 16, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
Likes: Treats Squeaky toys Snuffaries Enrichment activities Fetch Playing with other dogs Dislikes: Seeing other dogs while on a leash Strangers in his home without his people present Noisy living spaces Sharing a home with another dog Laszlo is a 2.5yo labradoodle/blue heeler. He is a very sweet and loyal boy. He does, however, have his quirks. He has resource guarding tendencies and can be very leash reactive. I believe Laszlo would do best in a single dog home, with a big yard/land to run around in. I also believe he would do best in a kid free/older kid home due to his excitability. A big plus for Laszlo would be the ability to live and run around on farm, due to being half cattle dog.❤️😊
