🐶 Meet Judge– Your Future Snuggle Buddy and Playmate! 🐶
Gender: Male
Age: 13 weeks
Weight: 21#’s
Breed: herding mix
Hi there! I’m Judge, a sweet and quiet puppy searching for my perfect forever family. Could that be you?
My Story:
I’ve had a rough start in life. My siblings and I were born on Halloween on the streets of Texas. Our mom, barely more than a puppy herself, was underweight and struggled to survive on scraps. Thankfully, a kind lady found us shortly after we were born and brought us to a shelter. From there, Safe Haven stepped in and, at just nine days old, we made the journey to Illinois. My foster family has taken wonderful care of me, and now I’m ready to find my forever home.
About Me:
I’m the biggest of my litter but I’m also the quietest. I definitely have the energy and playfulness you’d expect from a puppy but I am also quite stoic for a young pup. I love to play fetch, tug-of-war, or just enjoy a good snuggle session.
The Perfect Home for Me:
Kids: I’d love to be part of a family with children. I enjoy snuggles, tail-wagging greetings, and gentle playtime.
Other Dogs: I’d do great in a home with another dog. My foster home has three dogs of different sizes and ages, and I love learning from them.
Active Lifestyle: While I’m quiet and stoic in nature compared to my siblings, I still enjoy playtime and would thrive with a family that gives me fun activities and love.
Why I’m Special:
My foster mom says I have the kindest eyes. She tells me it’s just like my heart.
My foster family has made sure we have been very well socialized. In fact due to my socialization with people I will greet all two legged individuals with tail wags and lots of kisses.
When people meet me for the very first time they all agree that my white markings on my face, chest, and four paws against my stunning sable black coat make me a one of a kind masterpiece.
At 13 weeks old and 21 pounds, my foster mom thinks I’ll grow to be a medium to large sized dog. I’ve got a calm and loving personality, and I’m eager to please. I’ll be the perfect addition to a family that’s ready to help me learn and grow into a wonderful companion.
What I’m Working On:
Potty Training: I love going outside and have started doing my business in the yard. I love to explore and don’t mind the cold or snow. With proper training I will catch on to the “potty outside” command rather quick.
Crate and Leash Training: I haven’t started crate or leash training yet, but I do get confined to a penned area when my foster family is gone and at bedtime.
I am very food motivated and with your patience and continued guidance I will master all of these life skills quickly.
A Gentle Reminder:
Puppies like me need someone who’s patient, caring, and willing to invest time in training and socialization. Positive reinforcement, consistency, and patience are the keys to raising a happy, well-adjusted pup.
