As the father of this rescued group, Kenai is the most confident and curious of the pack. Like many Australian Shepherds, he’s intelligent, observant, and quick to learn—he’s simply never had the opportunity to be someone’s dog. Kenai was found after years of neglect—not abuse, but a life with little human interaction or affection. Now, he’s timid and fearful, but not broken. With guidance and love, he’ll absolutely thrive. Kenai is neutered, dewormed, fully vetted, and up to date on shots. He’s currently in boarding in Naperville, but what he truly needs is a quiet foster home to decompress, get individualized attention, and learn to enjoy cuddles, leashes, and life inside a home. To build confidence, Kenai must be separated from his pack, as they lean on each other and withdraw from people when kept together. Independent placement will help him blossom. Story
This adorable little girl and her siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Dainty is a gentle little girl, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. She has done amazing with her house and crate training. She is so deserving of a wonderful home to call her own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. Reese has lots of energy and does well with going potty on the paper. She does well in her crate at night for bedtime. Reese loves to play with other dogs and is very pet friendly. Reese is a very good eater, not a grazer, you put her food down and it is gone in a matter of minutes. Overall she would make a wonderful pet for anyone no matter the circumstances, she adapts well to everything and loves car rides. This pup is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed.
