Samson 8 Yrs. old DOB April 1st Australian Shepard Mix 100 pds Samson came to us at 1 years old. He adapted quickly to our home and became part of our family. He’s been a very loyal and great dog. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, we need to find him another home. This is a very difficult decision but I am determined to find him a good and loving home. He is best in a home with no other pets and works well with adults and teen aged children. He is slow to trust but once he does he is your best friend. He wants attention and lots of pets. I’m hoping to find a home with a big backyard so he can run freely. He walks well on a leash but will pull when something grabs his attention. Samson is incredibly loyal and very protective of his people. He is not good around strangers or strange animals so we keep our distance. Overall Samson is a great dog once you understand and work with his quirks. This is by no means an easy decision and it is with a heavy heart i write this.

Meet Kai! Kai is a 5-year-old, male, Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his beautiful smile. He’s the full package --- looks, brains and charisma. Kai came to rescue after his senior owners made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him due to health and age challenges. It’s clear he was raised with love—Kai is well-mannered, affectionate, and loves being around people. He is neutered, fully vetted, vaccinated, and microchipped. Kai is house- trained, crate-trained, great on walks and car rides, and knows commands like sit, down, stay, and leave it. Like a true Aussie, Kai loves to play fetch with a ball or frisbee, but his favorite thing is simply resting his head in your lap and soaking up all the pets. Kai does well with dogs, cats, adults, and kids and would thrive with an active person or family who can give him lots of exercise as well as love and attention. A fully fenced yard is preferred so he can run and play. Kai is hoping to find a new forever family—maybe even his “soul dog” person. Could that be you? Local adoptions only. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Kai is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet him will be set up for approved adopters only. His adoption fee is $350 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. He is neutered and microchipped. He has also been kept on both flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Life of the party over here! I will keep you busy, walking, running and having a good time. I am a little body packed full of energy. They call me an Aussie Healer mix. Size doesnt matter for me because I will take on the world. I enjoy adventures, playing in water, I love paddle boards and floaties. If you have a boat, Ill ride on it. If you have a car, Ill ride in it. If you have a motor cycle-get me some goggles would ya!  I enjoy being around other dogs and at times I will play sheriff. I am a social creature and extremely friendly with humans!! I love children and to be honest I dont mind cats much either but they have to be stern with me otherwise... Ill annoy the hell out of em. Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Tito may be young, but he’s already showing a lot of heart. This sweet pup came to the shelter a little unsure of the world—wide eyes, a tucked tail, and a nervous stance. But with gentle care and time in play groups, Tito has begun to open up beautifully. He greets other dogs with kindness and has even started engaging in playful interactions with a wagging tail and relaxed body. Tito enjoys affection from handlers and sometimes prefers to sit quietly in the shade, watching the world go by. He’s a gentle observer with a soft spirit, looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and joy. Tito will be transported to Elgin, IL in November and available for adoption.
