Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Chiquito, or Chico to his friends. Chico is an adorable little guy with a shy side. Found alone on the streets, he's learning to trust and warm up to new people. He shines brightest when he's around other animals; his playful side really comes out. Chico enjoys spending time outside, especially splashing around in the puppy wading pool—he's a water enthusiast! At around seven, Chico starts his day with a quick outdoor break followed by his favorite meal of Purina puppy pro plan, softened just right. He loves being part of a pack and spends his days playing and lounging with his kennel mates and older dog companions. Chico's a sweetheart who appreciates gentle ear rubs and foot massages; he's a real snuggler once he feels comfortable. Having been through some tough times, Chico can be a bit timid, especially when he's alone. But with a patient family and perhaps another playful dog companion, he'll blossom into a more confident and playful pup. He's not used to younger kids, so a home with older children who understand his need for gentleness would be ideal. If you're looking to add a loyal companion to your life, Chico is ready to steal your heart with his shy charm and playful spirit! Chiquito is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Carlito, a lively and friendly pup! Carlito has been around people of all ages and cats since he was born in foster care, making him a versatile companion for any family. Carlito's journey began when his mom was rescued and he's been thriving in foster care ever since he was born. He's adapted well to both indoor and outdoor living, enjoying his days outside with other dogs but also cherishing inside time, especially on someone's lap—even if he's not the best at sitting still just yet. This active puppy loves to jump around, displaying his enthusiasm for life with every leap. His playful antics include a cute howl when he wants attention or feels a bit lonely. Carlito is vocal at feeding times and when he's left alone, preferring to be wherever his humans are. Physically, Carlito is in great shape, having grown up in foster care with proper care and attention. He's good with children of all ages and adults alike, making him a great fit for a variety of households. While he enjoys the company of other pets, he'd also do well as the only pet in a loving home where someone is often around, especially during his puppy phase. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who brings energy and joy to your home, Carlito could be the perfect match. Adopting Carlito means welcoming a playful and affectionate pup who's ready to jump into your heart and home with his charming personality. Story
Location: Anoka, MN Hi I am Evie! I am a very sweet girl who loves belly scratches. It takes me a little while to warm up in new environments, but once I do I am a very loving puppy. I am currently potty trained, but may need a little refresher in a new environment. I would do best with a fenced in backyard since I am a very good jumper and climber. I would do best in an active household where I can have daily time outside to run and/or daily walks. I like chasing squirrels and bunny rabbits, so I will need to be on a leash when I am outside. My foster parents are working with me on crate training and I am really starting to enjoy my wire crate and I take many naps in there! I know how to sit, especially if you have a treat for me! I enjoy the company of other dogs and love running and playing with them! I am very excited to find my forever home! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Location: Cottage Grove, MN Scooter is a very happy outgoing puppy. He loves play time as much as cuddle time. He is food motivated for easier training. Scooter is kennel trained to sleep through the night. Scooter is quiet. He is doing well with potty training and walking on a leash during the day. He likes any size dog and likes cats but doesn't quite like when they are up on the counter tops instead of down below with him. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
There will be a rehoming fee to ensure he goes to a good home. Purebred Aussie. Not fixed. Good with cats and kids although will need training with very small kids, he is blissfully unaware, unknown with other dogs. Knows common commands and does well on a yard leash, is trained on the halo collar. Butters is house trained (sits by the door when he has to potty) and sleeps near the bed on his own bed. Loves ice cubes, antler bones and chewing on his toys. He has not chewed the furniture or any shoes. Cuddles by your feet or up on your lap if you let him. Has been a country dog and doesn’t bark often unless something is out of the ordinary. Would be good for him to have a job as his herding instincts are active. Crate trained if needed but he does well inside the house. He’s an extremely good boy and we know his family is out there! We feel like we cannot give him what he is yearning for, another dog or maybe a job. He is so loved and will need a loving family to adjust properly.

Story
Meet Allie, a 2019 edition of a party colored Australian Shepherd x Border Collie weighing in at 42 lbs. This beautiful gal came to NWMNAR because her previous owner had to leave abroad to help take care of in-laws and could not take Allie with. Allie loves going to obedience class and showing how smart she is. Allie needs an Aussie savy owner her can outsmart her. She is best with dogs the same size, she has prey drive towards rabbits and may not do well with cats or other smaller animals possibly including smaller tiny dogs. Allie takes time with strangers and will often back away barking. Allie has been scared of men with hats in the past. She can be a bit barky towards other dogs on walks, but has been learning to play nice. She can be dominant towards other dogs. Allie doesn't like plastic crates, but does just fine in wire crate. Allie must be crated in a vehicle otherwise she will run around in a vehicle pushing window switches until she gets out. Allie is best to go for a walk before a car ride to ensure she doesn't nervous defecate in the vehicle. Allie hies and sleeps under the bed to keep the monsters away. Allie does like to vocalize herself if she sees other dogs outside when she is peering out the windows. She has just started to play with toys and gets groomed twice a week with a brush. Allie is available for adoption. Free adoption applications can be found on our website at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NMA/Dog. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, Mn.

Story
Meet little Bella Dawn, this beautiful 2017 edition of a Miniature Australian Shepherd came into rescue from a breeder release. Her life has been primarily living in a crate or kennel and used solely for breeding. She is now looking for a furever home where she will never have to worry about breeding again. She is learning to live the good life, plays with other dogs, keeps her kennel run clean, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is learning to trust and is a little shy but coming out of her shell and wants to be loved. She is learning how to walk on a leash and learn her basic skills. Bella Dawn would love to have a home where she can be loved solely for herself and not for breeding. Free adoption applications can be found on our website at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NMA/Dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tucker Lee is a wonderfully friendly dog with a lot of personality. He’s incredibly smart and a quick learner. Tucker has a strong prey drive, so he’s best suited for a home without cats or small animals. Tucker has a dominant personality and gets along well with the two submissive dogs he knows.  Because of this, slow intros to new dogs is best to ensure all parties have time to get acquainted as Tucker might nip if they do something he doesn’t like. He adores being on the couch or in bed with his humans and thinks he’s a lap dog. Tucker loves to give kisses and is very affectionate. He enjoys tearing apart stuffed toys and chewing on bones, and he’s protective of these around other dogs but not people. Fetch with sticks and balls is one of his favorite games. Tucker thrives on attention and is used to being home with his canine companions while I work from home. He loves being outdoors and would happily stay outside all day if allowed. He enjoys trying to catch birds and gives the best hugs. Tucker-Lee is from South Dakota.
