Story
Looking for a dog to share your adventures with? Vesper may be the one for you. She is high energy, affectionate and intelligent. Vesper is a purebred Miniature Australian Shepherd and was bought from a reputable breeder in southern MN. I have purchase papers. ***Vesper was abused and neglected by my ex-husband and is initially wary of men but can warm up to them if she is treated well and they don’t yell at her or hit her. ***She has bit or nipped children if cornered and teased but in general is good with kids and believes it is her duty to herd and protect them. ***Needs to be let outside regularly or she may poop inside. As long as you keep on top of letting her out regularly she is fine. Overall she is a sweetheart and best friend. I am heartbroken to let her go but she doesn’t work for our family with young children and allergies.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   This little girl just loves people! Sydney is approx 4 months old, 25 lbs, and is a huge cuddler! She loves to do zoomies and play with her border collie foster sister. They chase each other in the back yard round and round! Sydney currently lives with 4 cats as well and likes watching them. She is doing extremely well at potty training and sleeps in her kennel at night with no crying!! She's so smart, and learned very quickly to sit, lay down, and shake. Sydney MUST be adopted into a home that has a physically fenced in yard, and another dog to play with! Applicants who don’t meet both of these criteria will not be considered   Interested in fostering or adopting? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rosie is about 4 years old and about 35 lbs. She is a very sweet, intelligent, loyal, loving dog. She probably is good off-leash, and actually would make an excellent farm dog. She is a working breed so has a bit of that herding tendency, and she never wants to be far from her humans. If you have a farm or a hobby farm, contact us! We do want her to be an indoor/outdoor dog though, to be able to live inside with her humans, as that is where she always wants to be- with you! She is like a velcro dog and the best home would be where people are home more often than not, have land, or a hobby farm, can give her something to do or focus on.  She has lived with other dogs and done very well. She was very playful with another male Aussie mix she was fostered with. She would do best in a cat-free home as she will chase and bother them. Rosie has been around kids and is fine with them, and is in rescue due to no fault of her own.  Interested in fostering or adopting? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $ 500 plus taxBroc is growing into a delightful young pup with tons of potential. He has figured out the house training business and “kennel” commands, enjoying his nights in his kennel. He’s working on basic commands, leash walking and is showing real skills in the fetch and play department.  He’s created a good bond with the two permanent dogs in the house. Broc needs guidance around kids, but only for puppy impulsive behaviors(jumping, licking, etc.) -no aggression has been seen.  He’s a silly, smart and playful guy who also loves his morning naps, usually curled up by any available human.    Broc is not a good puzzle partner. He will eat your edge pieces. He loves to keep the humans company and will gravitate towards being wherever you are! Great companion in the making.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $550 plus taxI'm so very pleased to meet you!  I'm good with kids and love other dogs. I like to spend my days busying myself with toys and doggie chewies.  I like to stay active too by running and playing in the yard.  However, I usually fit a few naps into my day as well.  After all, who doesn't like a nap?  I'm learning what potty pads are and that I really should go outside to do my dirty business but it takes time to establish those habits.  I love to cuddle with my humans too. I'm searching for a fabulous forever home to share my life and love with! Do you want a great friend to join your family?  Well, adopt me and let's start making lasting memories together!  * Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.   If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.
