Story
My name is Sneakers and I’m approximately 3 years old. Recently I was in an accident and my eye was damaged. It has now been removed and I feel a lot better. I’m quiet girl and I love following my humans around. I’m great with other dogs and would like a doggy friend in my furever home. I haven’t met any cats yet. I also haven’t met many kids but I’m very calm and respectful of personal space so I think I would like kids. I’m house trained and I walk well on a leash. I’m crated at night and when my foster parent isn’t home but I would really like to sleep in your bed. I can be a little shy around new people and will bark at first when I meet them, but I warm up quickly. Can I complete your family? **Sneakers needs another dog in the home to help her feel confident. ##1986660##

Story
Meet Hoss, a charming and affectionate foster puppy who's ready to bring joy and love into your home! This little guy is already potty trained to a regular schedule of every 6 hours, ensuring a clean house and kennel.  Hoss is a quick learner and is making great progress with kennel training. Although he may bark a bit when first kenneled, he soon settles down for a cozy nap and sleeps through the night like a champ. His temporary clinginess and occasional whining are just signs of his sweet nature and recent separation from his siblings. He loves to cuddle and is learning to lie beside you, making him the perfect snuggle buddy. This playful pup has a knack for shredding his toys, and with a bit of guidance, he's learning to avoid cords and other off-limits items. Hoss is eager to learn and adapt, making him a delightful companion for anyone willing to invest a little time in his training. Hoss is looking for a loving home where he can grow, thrive, and be a loyal friend. Could you be the perfect match for this adorable bundle of joy?   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. Story
Hi there, I'm Esme! I may be a puppy, but I have the perfect balance of mellow and energetic. When it's time to go, I'm ready! And when it's quiet time I'll catch up on my zzz. I love to snuggle up for a good cuddle session; my foster mom loves to snuggle me! I'm working on my potty training; I've only had one accident. My foster mom practices walking on a leash with me, I do pretty good, but will keep working on it. My curiosity often leads me to sniff out new adventures, and sometimes I follow my nose, but don't worry, if you call for me, I'll come right back. I'm also gentle with everyone I meet, always ready to make new friends. My loyalty is unwavering, and I promise to be your best friend. I like to lay right next to my foster mom's chair when she's relaxing. When we go outside, I follow her all over the farm, and since I'm a good listener and super smart she doesn't put me on a leash. Even though I'm not thrilled about baths, I sit very nice in the tub to get cleaned up and dried. With me, every day will be filled with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Adopting me means gaining a very loyal companion who will love you endlessly.   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. Story
Hi, I'm Huck! I'm 6 months old and learning new things every day. I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a good cuddle. My mellow nature makes me a perfect companion for quiet evenings, but I'm always up for an adventure, too. I've got a gentle soul and prefer a quiet environment . I'm working on potty training, and doing very well. Chew bones are one of my favorite things, I do like chewing, but I am a puppy after all! I get along very well with other dogs and my foster mom's cat. I'm looking for a forever home where I can grow, play, and love. Adopt me and I promise to fill your life with endless sweetness and joy.   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. Story
Meet Allie, a 2019 edition of a party colored Australian Shepherd x Border Collie weighing in at 42 lbs. This beautiful gal came to NWMNAR because her previous owner had to leave abroad to help take care of in-laws and could not take Allie with. Allie loves going to obedience class and showing how smart she is. Allie needs an Aussie savy owner her can outsmart her. She is best with dogs the same size, she has prey drive towards rabbits and may not do well with cats or other smaller animals possibly including smaller tiny dogs. Allie takes time with strangers and will often back away barking. Allie has been scared of men with hats in the past. She can be a bit barky towards other dogs on walks, but has been learning to play nice. She can be dominant towards other dogs. Allie doesn't like plastic crates, but does just fine in wire crate. Allie must be crated in a vehicle otherwise she will run around in a vehicle pushing window switches until she gets out. Allie is best to go for a walk before a car ride to ensure she doesn't nervous defecate in the vehicle. Allie hies and sleeps under the bed to keep the monsters away. Allie does like to vocalize herself if she sees other dogs outside when she is peering out the windows. She has just started to play with toys and gets groomed twice a week with a brush. Allie is available for adoption. Free adoption applications can be found on our website at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NMA/Dog. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, Mn.
