You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Loki is from Texas. He was born in rescue to a very pregnant mother that had been trapped.  Loki has received proper medical care since birth and is absolutely thriving! Loki is an easy going, happy-go-lucky, velcro dog. He LOVES to be as close to his people as they will allow and is actively working on being the best lap dog in the world. He enjoys water, playing with toys, and chasing tennis balls around! Loki does well in his kennel, has his meals in there, and will sleep in there at night until his people wake him up. He's working on potty-training, with some consistency and patience, he will be trained in no time at all! He is gentle on leash, but just needs a little more practice. He is high energy, and would be a great adventure partner - hiking, swimming, running, walking, wherever you go, Loki would love to join you. He's great in the car, and typically spends some time looking out the window, then gets comfy and takes a nap. He is gentle with kids and adults - smothering anyone with kisses if they will let him! He also loves to play with other dogs after a slow introduction and they become comfortable with one another. Chasing, wrestling and tug of war are his favorite!  He has not been introduced to cats, so very slow introductions are a must. Loki is looking for a wonderful home of his own. Story
I adopted Nezer 6 months ago from my Pastors who were moving and needed to find a place for him. I'd loved with them for 6 years, and helped raise Nezer since he was a small puppy, just a few months old. Nezer is VERY AFFECTIONATE and LOYAL to the person who is this owner. He LOVES to run around and play ALL THE TIME, and always wants to be where the action is. He has been VERY MUCH LOVED and will be greatly missed, but the reality is that I probably should never have accepted him from my pastors in the first place, mainly because I don't have enough time to care properly for Nezer, and because he NEEDS a place where he can get outside and run around all day, which is something I'm not able to provide. He is house trained, knows quite a few commands, but still needs to be trained on how not to jump on people when he is "greeting" them. Need to find him a good home ASAP as time is running out and he needs a place to stay before I leave the country next weekend on April 7th!!!

Meet Allie, a 2019 edition of a party colored Australian Shepherd x Border Collie weighing in at 42 lbs. This beautiful gal came to NWMNAR because her previous owner had to leave abroad to help take care of in-laws and could not take Allie with. Allie loves going to obedience class and showing how smart she is. Allie needs an Aussie savy owner her can outsmart her. She is best with dogs the same size, she has prey drive towards rabbits and may not do well with cats or other smaller animals possibly including smaller tiny dogs. Allie takes time with strangers and will often back away barking. Allie has been scared of men with hats in the past. She can be a bit barky towards other dogs on walks, but has been learning to play nice. She can be dominant towards other dogs. Allie doesn't like plastic crates, but does just fine in wire crate. Allie must be crated in a vehicle otherwise she will run around in a vehicle pushing window switches until she gets out. Allie is best to go for a walk before a car ride to ensure she doesn't nervous defecate in the vehicle. Allie hies and sleeps under the bed to keep the monsters away. Allie does like to vocalize herself if she sees other dogs outside when she is peering out the windows. She has just started to play with toys and gets groomed twice a week with a brush. Meet Red Raven! Red Raven is a 2022 edition of a standard Australian Shepherd. She came into NWMNAR as an owner surrender as they had to move and where they were moving did not allow pets. Red Raven is a very intelligent dog, and will need a privacy fenced yard as she can clear a six foot chain link fence. This girl would probably excel in agility or be a great jogging partner. She does best with women, has been around children, but better suited for adults. Red Raven is very responsive, wicked smart, house and crate trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ready to find her new home. Red Raven is available for adoption.
