Age: Estimated DOB 10/28/24 Weight: 40 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes, on a schedule Crate trained: Working on it, but does well when left loose in the house **NEEDS A FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME** Meet Bea! Bea is a sweet, smart girl who had a rough start in life but is learning so fast how wonderful it is to just be a dog. Each day she gains confidence, picks up new skills, and shows off her goofy, playful personality. She loves playing fetch, running around the yard, and happily herding her foster family during playtime. While Bea can take a little time to warm up to new people, once she feels comfortable her true goofball nature shines through. She’s well-behaved, eager to learn, and clearly very intelligent. Bea takes her cues from her foster sisters and has learned a lot by watching them, so she would do best in a home with an existing playful dog who can help her continue building confidence. Bonus: she does well with cats too! Bea is ready for a patient, loving forever family who will continue showing her how great life can be—and she’ll reward them with loyalty, laughs, and lots of fun along the way. Adoption Fee: $495

Age: 3 years old Weight: 14 pounds Dog friendly: Yes, Requires one in home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, but adult -only home preferred Potty trained: Very close but still has accidents Crate trained: Yes, does well in a crate when left alone ** SECURE FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN THE HOME NEEDED** Hi, my name is Reyka, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. I spent the first years of my life in a puppy mill with no kind human connection, so I’m still learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’ve made tremendous progress in my foster home, including becoming potty trained with a routine, learning to walk on a leash, adapting quickly to household routines, and loving car rides. My foster parents call me an enigma in the best way - yes, I’m often nervous and unsure, but I’m also deeply curious, observant, and eager to learn. I’m looking for a forever family who can help me continue growing and figuring out who I am. Ideally, you have experience with shy dogs, but I’m also willing to teach you. I sleep in my kennel at night and when I’m home alone, so I’d like a home where someone is around often. Because I’ve spent my life living with other dogs and draw confidence from them, I do need a calm, supportive dog friend in my new home. I’ll also need a securely fenced yard; it gives me a safe, quiet space to go outside while I continue working through my fearfulness and flight risk tendencies. Most of all, I’m hoping to find my special person - someone patient, gentle, and willing to learn my cues and love me exactly as I am today. It’s hard to predict who I’ll become. I may never be a super cuddly lap dog, and that’s okay. I might prefer sitting a few feet away on the couch watching our favorite show, taking long, slow walks together, or following you around the house to see what you’re up to. If you’re looking for an incredibly smart, gentle, and brave soul, and you’re ready for a relationship built on trust, respect, and small victories, I would love to meet you. Adoption fee: $625

Story
Meet Lazy Skittles 🐾 At 5 years old, Lazy Skittles is officially retiring from motherhood after lovingly raising her final litter. Now that her puppies have all found their forever homes, it’s her turn to be the one spoiled and cherished. Skittles is searching for a calm, adult-only home—she’s decided she’s all set with the hustle and bustle of kids and is ready to enjoy a more peaceful lifestyle. She has a friendly, happy personality that shines once she feels safe, though she can be a bit shy and submissive at first. Because of her sensitive nature, Skittles will need a securely fenced yard where she can feel safe and explore at her own pace. She would also thrive in a home with other confident, friendly dogs who can help show her the ropes and teach her how wonderful “the good life” can be. With a little patience and a lot of love, Lazy Skittles will blossom into a loyal, gentle companion who’s ready to spend her days relaxing by your side. Ready to give this sweet girl her happily-ever-after? 💕 ********************************************* Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Ziggy! 6 years old • 32 lbs • Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix (with some German Shepherd, Beagle, and Lab in there too!) Ziggy is a smart, soulful, couch-loving companion who thrives with her people and forms deep bonds with the humans she trusts. Like many herding breeds, she takes her job of “keeping an eye on things” seriously — but once she decides you’re a friend, you’re in for a lifetime of loyalty, snuggles, and companionship. When new people arrive, Ziggy will announce herself with a bark or two, then quickly switch into friendly mode. After a proper sniff and hello, she’s eager to engage — often gently guiding your hand to her chest, where she loves extra scratches. Before you know it, she’s your new best friend on the couch. Why we love Ziggy: Incredibly smart and very trainable - she k nows tricks and has great recall indoors A wonderful companion who simply wants someone around, and loves cuddling on the couch or in bed! Loves car rides — short trips or long adventures. Ziggy e njoys hiking and exploring (she’s a fan of the North Shore!) Famous for her dramatic “old man” sighs Loves chew bones and has a beloved stuffed frog, but has  never destroyed anything in the house she shouldn't! Geo-trained with a hidden fence Comfortable being left alone for up to 6 hours Ziggy was adopted during COVID and has always had adults around during the day. While she initially seemed bonded to one person, she’s truly just happiest knowing someone is nearby. She does well with trusted adults, older kids, and even a house/dog sitter when her family is away. Ziggy is a herding-breed dog through and through and can be reactive to other dogs, especially on walks. Her bark can sound intense, but with consistent, positive training, she can sometimes ignore passing dogs when walked solo. Group walks with other dogs, however, increase her stress and reactivity. Ziggy  has also developed some resource guarding around food, toys, and favorite resting spots. With structure, space, and experienced handling, these behaviors are manageable, but Ziggy will do best as the only dog in the home. Because of her herding instincts, Ziggy is not a fit for homes with young children, as she may chase or nip at ankles. A home with adults only or older, dog-savvy kids, along with a fenced yard, are a requirement. Ziggy has not had any long-term experience with cats.  Ziggy is deeply loving, loyal, and ready to be someone’s whole world. In the right home — one that understands her intelligence, sensitivity, and need for structure — she will be an incredible, devoted companion who curls up beside you, sighs contentedly, and reminds you every day how special a bond with a dog can be.  If you're ready to open your heart and home to this loving companion, submit an interest form here:  https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com *Adoption fees range from $525-$650, depending on the individual animal* Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN Ziggy is fully vetted: spayed, DHLPP vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, bordetella vaccinated, lyme vaccinated,  4DX/heartworm tested,  microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed.  *Ziggy does have allergies: she takes a Benadryl daily with morning meal and gets a shot of Cytopoint in fall and spring.* Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:20 pm

Date of birth: 12-7-25 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Getting close! ***Companion dog required*** Rico is an absolute little heart-stealer 💛 With his soft, velvety puppy fur and gentle, snuggly nature, he’s happiest curled up close once he’s all tuckered out from playtime. This sweet boy feels most comfortable with a canine buddy by his side. Having another dog around really helps Rico feel safe—especially when he’s in his kennel and missing his people. A furry friend to cuddle with makes all the difference for him and therefore a companion dog in the home is required. Rico loves the simple joys in life—playing fetch, carrying around sticks like prized treasures, and soaking up every bit of attention he can get. He’s wonderfully calm in the car, making him a perfect little travel companion. Smart and eager to please, Rico already knows how to sit and is proudly working on learning “shake.” (And yes—treats definitely help! 😉) But more than anything, Rico has the sweetest, most loving personality. He truly adores everyone he meets and is ready to share that love with a forever family. Could that be you? 💕 Adoption fee: $595
