This boy was brought back because he was too much of a puppy who chewed because he was left alone and bored. So he is on the hunt for a family who will understand his needs and keep him busy!! He has a lot of energy and playing is his thing. He likes to play with other dogs, chew on toys and run run run. He does fine with kids, will have to learn about cats. He will need some work on housetraining and leashes. He is a bit stubborn when learning manners so will need a family who can work with that. A routine that occupies his time would also be a plus as that works with his breed mix. He is a sweet boy that has a wonderfully fun personality who just wants to live to the fullest. He needs a life full of adventures and activities and we know that family is out there for him. Willow is currently just over 3 months old, guessing Australian Shepherd / German Shepherd Mix. She will likely be a medium / large sized dog when full grown. She is currently 20 lbs and growing. She loves playing with other dogs and her foster friends and is working on potty training. Up to date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. East Tn and out of state is welcome! These pups are being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee listed under adopt a pet m. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Meet the flower puppies. We have three boys and four little girls. They have had their first round of shots yesterday. They will be getting dewormed and microchipped this weekend. We need to make an appt to have them spayed and neutered in a few weeks. We will be accepting pre adoption applications for them shortly at petpath.org. Our puppy adoption fee is 350 and with that they will be vaccinated at least two puppy vaccines, bordetella vaccine, rabies if of age, microchipped and spay or neutered. They will come with a toy box, a couple of toys, leash, collar and a brand new bed (items not available of utilizing transport company) We are told they may be about 8-9 weeks old now. The momma dog passed away and the finders are uncertain why. She was malnourished emaciated and just passed away. She was found with these puppies under a shed. The property owners moved and left the momma dog. The finder was paid to move the shed and found them and couldn’t leave them there. They fed and took care of them for three weeks. Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard, but plays a little too rough for smaller dogs. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Magellan is super smart and did great during his brief time in a temporary home. He learned sit and down quickly, and he does well in his crate. He loves to cuddle. Magellan loves to play! Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. Hi my name is Annie, I was found wandering around out in the country. My current fosters have no knowledge of my previous living conditions. As far as my personality goes, I tend to be very high strung and anxious especially when my foster's teenage children are present. Their presence has complicated my potty training with my anxiety. Although I do sleep in my kennel all night long and only make noise if I have to go to the bathroom. During the day I hang out in my playpen if I get stressed. I will often go to my safe spaces if stressed out. I do live with 2 foster dogs, a 50lbs husky mix and a 20lbs terrier mix and I love to play with both. My fosters have been attempting to work on my training, however I am not motivated. I love going for walks and wrestling with my foster siblings. Elsa, at a bit over a year, is a sweet, playful young dog who got off to a rough start, but seems to be ‘none the worse for wear’. She may be part Aussie or Australian Cattle dog. Typical dogs from the area she came from have multiple breeds and nearly all of them have some herding dog, some German Shepherd, some corgie, and remarkably, a dash of Chihuahua. What exactly Elsa is, only DNA will confirm. Whatever her genetics, she is sweet, playful, weighs 37# and appears to be housebroken. She gets along well with other dogs and puppies and loves people. She walks nicely on a leash. She has a moderate energy level. What more could you possibly want? Elsa came to PUP when her family could not afford to care for her. She lost a litter of puppies, likely because she was just not getting enough food to support herself, let alone a litter of pups. Sad as losing the puppies was, it likely saved her life. Now that she has a full food and water bowl and has been protected against fleas and ticks, she looks and feels good. She is having fun just being young and alive. There are three puppies in her foster home and she loves cuddling and playing with them, so she is getting her chance to sort of be a mommy. Here is an odd thing. Elsa has double rear dew claws. There are only 6 breeds of dog that have rear double dews, and all of them are big, like Great Pyrenees. Where those double dews are coming from is anyone’s guess. It is hard to imagine one of her parents being part GP! She has stunning 'marble' eyes that are part blue and part brown, a trait somewhat common in Aussies. Elsa is crated during the work day and over night. Although it is not her compete favorite place to be, she is fine with it and goes into her crate willingly. She does appreciate a treat as a reward. Elsa has been vet checked, is fully vaccinated including rabies, and de-wormed. We have sent DNA in for testing on Anna’s brother but results aren’t back yet. We do know a lot about her, tho. Her coat was in rough shape when she arrived, but it is coming in nicely now. It is very shiny and her face will be unique and amazing. She has white toes and sweet brindle patches on her legs. She, as well as her siblings, is quite the cuddler and she loves to be held and fussed with by his foster. She is quite the explorer and all in on going new places to see what she can see. She will be a mid-sized dog when full grown. Anna and her siblings Olaf and Sven, along with their auntie Elsa, were surrendered to PUP because their owner was deeply impoverished and simply could not afford to feed them. They had all (including the people) missed a few meals before the pups were surrendered, but the pups were otherwise healthy. Anna loves people and gets along well with other dogs, but she is a hard player. She is accustomed to going outside and does much of her pottying outdoors, but is using newspapers reliably in the house. The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. Hazel is a 6 year old dog who would love a new life in the country. She would like a home with lots of room to sniff around and spend her days outside. She loves to keep her head on a swivel in search of danger and makes a great watch dog. For this same reason, she can be wary of strangers and will bark if she is unsure of them. She is a super sweet and cautious dog who responds well to love and kindness and a regular schedule. Hazel is not a pack dog and doesn’t want to share her home with other dogs or pets. She is a well-trained house dog, and has free roam in the house.

Odin is a 9-year old Aussie mix who's owner died. From his foster: Looking for a sweet, friendly, silly, senior? Odin loves people and is great with dogs! He enjoys being active whether it's walks (although is a puller and we are working on that) or the dog park. His favorite is going to run around his foster granddads 42 acres!!! But Odin doesn't run off and comes when called! What a good boy Odin is a quiet boy, rarely makes a peep, not even when those darn delivery folks come to the door! He is completely potty trained, does great in a kennel but doesn't need one. He is currently not kenneled and does not get into anything. He has shown absolutely zero aggression or resource guarding with my dog nor any he has met. He's just a lovely good boy. Odin was born with a short lower jaw, although this does not hinder his eating or drinking. He often has his tongue out to the side and will dribble water a bit more than most dogs. He does great with his dry or canned food on a plate. Odin would do great in just about any household as he is a pretty easygoing guy but would do best with regular exercise. He is afraid of the vacuum but so far that's it. Does great in the car, good for baths, nail trims, and no fear of storms. From the Vet: Hi! My name is Odin and I would love to share some medical information we have learned from my history as well as my first exam at The Bond Between Vet Center! My jaw appears to have been congenital, but it is not at this time causing me any issues with my teeth! I do have history of seizures, however I have not had any episodes during the time I have been with my foster so the vet said I don't need any meds! While it is unlikely at this stage, my future adopter should monitor for any seizure activity and seek guidance with a primary vet thereafter. Hope to meet you soon and settle into my fur-ever home!

Hi! My name is Flounder and I am from Kentucky. I am about 2 years old and 38 lbs. I get along well with other dogs, and when people are asked to use one word to describe me, the answer is always Sweet! I love to make new friends, could one of them be you? From his foster: Flounder is a happy 2-year-old Australian Shepard. He has a lot of energy and zooms all over the house. He loves being petted and getting belly rubs. He takes a nap around 12 or 1. He climbs up on the couch and falls asleep. Loves his stuffed animals. He tosses them between the couch and the loveseat. We are working on a good routine for potty time and giving tells but it's a work in progress.

Meet Minnie. She and her sister were surrendered to rescue by their owners who said they were 4-5 months old. When we received them they were certainly not 4-5 months old they were only 4-5 weeks old!! We were not aware if this and would have sent them back to be with their momma, however when we saw their condition we decided they would be better off with us. They were loaded with fleas and their skin had open sores and rashes and raw spots and infection from scratching the fleas. They were finally healthy enough for their spay and are about eight weeks old now. They have had two rounds of puppy vaccines and spay and microchipped. They will need two more rounds of puppy shots and rabies when they are old enough. They are super sweet puppies and a little shy at first but they have pretty good confidence. We were told momma was a rat terrier type and they said daddy was a mixed breed medium sized dog. So we can o it guess they will turn out to be a small-medium size fully grown. Weebles is a 6-month old neutered male border collie/bully mix (his parentage is known). His date of birth is November 12, 2023 - and we actually know his date of birth which is very unusual in rescue! Weebles was adopted as a young puppy but after a few months his owners decided that a young, energetic puppy was not what they wanted in life as they did not have the time or energy to focus on training him. Weebles is a sweetheart of a dog and is always up for an adventure! Weebles is a very energetic little dude weighing in at 36 pounds currently, and will probably top out at 40-50 pounds fully grown. He is house and crate trained and LOVES to rough-house with other dogs; he is respectful of dog-savvy cats but if he knows he can make a cat run, he thinks this is a very fun game and loves to antagonize more fearful cats so he can turn it into a game of chase. Weebles is very smart and enjoys learning new things with treats and toys being his reward. He enjoys meeting new people and going for walks and runs. Weebles is a sweet, sweet boy who deserves to find a forever-home! Ariel is a five month old mixed breed super mutt. She could be lab or beagle or Australian Shepherd or border collie or a whole bunch of the above. She’s currently about 35 pounds and will be that nice medium to large size as an adult. Ariel is super friendly and loves to play with her dog friends. She has never lived with kids or cats, but could certainly be introduced to either in a new home. Ariel is not yet fully house or crate trained, her new family will need to work with her on this training. Ariel is currently fostered North branch Minnesota.
