Story
Daisy is a 5 year old Australian shepherd. She has been with our family since she was a puppy. Daisy loves affection, she loves attention, and she is a very playful dog. She needs a fenced yard to run around in and does even better if she gets a daily walk but doesn't necessarily need it. She has grown up with another dog in our home and they get along well, although Daisy gets very jealous if our other dog is getting more attention than her. Daisy definitely likes to be the Queen of the home! Daisy does like to alert you (aka bark) when anyone comes to the door, she will also bark for the first few minutes after a new person comes in your home. Once she makes friends, she settles right in for some belly rubs. We are searching for a new home for Daisy because we are about to be empty-nesters and want to travel more. We don't feel its fair to her to put her in boarding for extended amounts of time. We just want to find a great home who will love her like we do!

Story
It's with a heavy heart that we are seeking to rehome our Australian Shepherd, kazuto. Unfortunately, due to an incident where he bit our baby, we have to make the difficult decision to find him a new family that can provide the right environment and attention he needs. Kazuto is an incredibly loving dog with lots of energy and a big heart. He’s four years old, enjoys cuddles, and is a very anxious boy. He’s up-to-date on vaccinations, house-trained, has lived with a cat since he was a puppy, and knows basic commands. We believe that in the right home, with proper attention, he will thrive. We are looking for someone with a child free home who can offer a loving, safe space where he can continue to be a happy, well-loved dog. If you're interested or know someone who might be a good fit, please message me for more details.

Story
Very sweet 7 yo 6m mini Aussie female, Prairie Rose, needing rehome. Originally rescued when about 2 years old. High stress/anxiety. Not long after we adopted her she bit someone in the face when they got too close to her too quickly, and another on the hand when we had someone try to come let her outside on a walk when we were away. We did about a year of consistent gentle dog training with quite a bit of improvement in behavior. Walks very well with gentle lead, though any loud noises will get her running back home. Does tend to herd, likes to walk behind you. We have kept her away from any new people/strangers and taken as many protective measures as possible, but unfortunately she gets high stress with children. She has bitten our daughter twice (face both times) when she just got too close to her walking by and happening to spook her. It breaks our heart but we do feel that it would be better for both Prairie and our family if she was in a home without children.

Story
🐾 Ozzie — The Ultimate Sweetheart, Toy-Loving Entertainer, Cuddle-Bug Ozzie is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality, a big heart, and a fluffy tail that never stops wagging. He loves people, enjoys attention, and will gladly be your playful shadow. He would especially love to play fetch with you for hours if you'll allow it. Ozzie knows basic commands, wrestles happily with friendly dogs, and is an expert at fetch—especially catching toys out of the air. He can be protective of his high-value items (toys, treats, food), so a home familiar with managing minor resource guarding would be best. He’s dog friendly, previously lived in a home with children, cat-friendly, kennel trained, very well-behaved when left alone, and thrives on play and connection. Ozzie also excellent with leash manners and enjoys his walks outdoors! Ozzie’s Ideal Home: ✔ Adults or families who love a snuggly dog ✔ A playful home ready for fetch, fun, and training ✔ A friendly dog companion—preferably not toy-possessive If you want a fun, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling, Ozzie just might be your perfect match. 🖤🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet PeBo – A Gentle Senior Aussie Mix 💙 PeBo is a sweet 10-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a big heart and a lifetime of love to give. Recently surrendered through no fault of his own, this senior boy is hoping to find a warm foster or forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by comfort and care. PeBo is housetrained, well-mannered, and enjoys the company of people. He would do best in a home with adults only and a calm environment. When treated with courtesy and patience, PeBo is affectionate, easygoing, and happy to be by your side. He loves exploring a yard, enjoys outdoor time, and walks nicely on leash with a little guidance. He has always done well with other dogs, especially with polite introductions, and he has proven how amicably he can coexist with kitties, too! PeBo doesn’t need a crate and does well when left alone. He’s calm, loyal, and thrives in a peaceful home where he can be part of daily life without too much fuss. Seniors like him deserve comfort, love, and family — and he’ll give it back tenfold. If you can offer a gentle, respectful home where PeBo’s needs as an older dog are honored, he’ll reward you with endless devotion. Could you be the one to give PeBo his second chance? P.S. PeBo is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great way to ensure the perfect fit! ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Hiro, is an 8 year old male australian shepherd. I rescued him 3 years ago in the mountains of Utah. Tracked down his owner and decided to keep him. He loves to play fetch non stop. He thinks he is a lap dog when being petted. He is good with kids. They like to carry the ball or toy around and have Hiro follow them. We are only rehoming him because he has become to dominate over our Black Lab. He will make a good one dog family or if you able to train him with other dogs.

Story
If you're looking for a dog who's got the biggest heart wrapped in a fluffy, huggable package, allow us to introduce Shadow, a super sweet boy. This guy has had a tough start—spending way too much time cooped up in a kennel, which left him with some elbow sores (all healing up nicely now!) and a case of serious noise anxiety. In a town environment, every car horn or distant bark sends him into jumpy mode, like he's auditioning for a surprise party he didn't sign up for. But here's the magic: Take him out on quiet trails or just beyond the city limits, and he's your dream hiking partner! His foster family has been strolling those peaceful paths during camping trips, and he struts along like a pro—ears perked, tail wagging, totally in his element. Weekends away? Golden. Busy days with traffic and crowds? A work in progress, but oh, the potential! Leash manners are another area his family is working on—he starts off like a champ, walking politely by your side, but a sudden noise can make him bolt for the safety of the car (which, fun fact: He used to dread car rides so much he needed a little chill pill, but now? He's begging for joyrides! His foster dad Dave's truck is his safe haven on wheels. 🚗💨) He's been a total gentleman with other dogs—super passive and easygoing, letting the bossy ones (looking at you, resident Border Collie) take the lead while he chills and finds his own fun. Men? Instant fan club—his foster dad is his hero. Cats and kids? Promising but needs slow, supervised intros. Our feisty feline is still giving him the side-eye (we think it's excitement, not chase mode), and he's already won over a visiting grandson. This week, we'll be testing the waters with a toddler in the mix—fingers crossed for more tail wags! Bottom line? This boy has zero formal training under his belt yet, but with patience, positive vibes, and lots of those quiet trail walks, he's going to blossom into the most loyal, affectionate companion. His foster family is totally smitten. "I've fallen in love with him," they confessed. "He just needs time to trust the world again." And trust us—he's worth every gentle step. If you're a calm household with a yard for decompression, a love for slow-build adventures, and room in your heart (and on those trails) for a dog who's equal parts velvet cuddles and untapped explorer, could he be your guy? Shadow is vaccinated, HW negative and neutered. Location: Kansas City Area Contact: kelly@w5accounting.com Please come visit Shadow and his friends on our web page https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs
