Story
Milo is such a sweet boy. He is an amazing companion to snuggle with. He loves to take walks and rides in the car with the windows rolled down. Because of his keen sense of smell, he loves to be outdoors. Having the opportunity to be outside often would be a win for him, while he is capable of roaming the house even when no one is there without causing any damage.

Story
Carl is a 1 yr old sweet energetic boy that loves people. Unfortunately with our new move and change in work schedules, he has backslid into old habits that do not make us suitable owners for him. I take 100% ownership in this and know I don't have the time to give him that he deserves. He will thrive and be much happier with a family that can be attentive to his needs and I am positive that he will be an excellent companion.

Story
A FUN & FRIENDLY PUPPY:  Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 19 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Tadpole! I’m a darling puppy who somehow found myself at animal control, and I’m so grateful Mostly Mutts came to my rescue.  I’m loving my time with the wonderful volunteers and can’t wait to meet the family who will call me their own! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog at home already that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a happy, playful pup who loves to have fun and enjoy life!  I’m friendly, active, and always ready for an adventure or a good play session.  The volunteers say I’m super sweet and smart, and I’m known for my cheerful, happy personality.  Despite my playful side, I also have a nice calm demeanor when needed - I stood very still throughout my bath and ear cleaning and handled the whole experience like a champ.  I’m a sweet, happy guy who’s ready to bring lots of joy to my new family! / Energy level: 5-7.    • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and am quite the smart pup!  I’ve already learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping on them.  Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / I’m doing alright in my crate, though I’m always ready to come out and spend time with the volunteers. / I’m having accidents on the shelter schedule, so I’ll need my new family to potty train me using positive reinforcement please and treats. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love toys, treats, and spending time with all the fun volunteers!  As a puppy, I enjoy all things puppy - playing, exploring, learning, and making every day an adventure. Having fun is one of my favorite activities, and I’m always ready for a game, a treat, or some quality time with my people. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet except going out in the rain isn’t my favorite thing to do, but I do it when I need to.  Like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

Story
A WONDERFUL PUPPY FRIEND:  Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 9 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Willow!  I’m a darling little puppy who came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a wonderful home and family to raise me! I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers and I heard them say that I’m now ready to find that family - I think that’s the best news ever!  Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m an adorable puppy with a sweet, fun and spunky personality! I’m always ready to play and have fun. I was quite the character during my bath, wiggling this way and that with endless puppy energy. Like many puppies, I’m currently sporting my sharp little puppy teeth, so I’ll need my new family to teach me what’s appropriate to chew as I grow. I’m the cutest, spunkiest girl and can’t wait to share all my puppy adventures with my new family! / Energy level: approx. 5-7 though this could change as I grow up.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s do some training together once I’ve had all my puppy shots. / You can crate train me. / I’m just a baby, so I’ll  need my new family to teach me all about potty manners. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love attention, people, and all the fun that comes with being a puppy! Playing, exploring, making new friends, and being part of the action are some of my favorite things. I’m sure we’ll discover lots of things we’ll enjoy doing together once I’m in my new home. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, though like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then we could be a good match!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

Story
All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEJuniper is a lovable 2 year old beagle-dachshund mix with a sweet disposition and lots of brown and black freckles all over. Though shy when she initially meets someone new, she quickly warms up and is  eager to roll over for belly rubs every chance she gets. On walks, she will keep close to you and follow your lead. At home, she’s happy to curl up in her bed or keep you company. She doesn’t beg, takes treats gently, and enjoys following the lead of her older foster sister. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect pup.”   Juniper needs to be in a quieter home, without young children.  She does have a bit of separation anxiety and does not care to be restricted access.  Crate training is in the works, but would need to be continued upon adoption.  Like what you see? Fill out our online application! We work on a first received, first approved, first adopted basis. We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye.
