Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Bruno is a lovable seven-year-old Beagle who recently found his way to us as a stray, though his story quickly unfolded. Thanks to his microchip, we were able to find out that his `finders` where his owners, who then made the decision to surrender him due to housing instability. Despite the change in his life, Bruno remains a gentle, sweet-natured boy who is simply trying to understand his new surroundings. This chunky little guy weighs in at around forty pounds and has a calm, quiet presence at the shelter. Bruno truly shines when he’s with people—he adores attention and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He enjoys his daily walks, taking in all the scents like a true Beagle, and has the softest way of accepting treats right from your hand. According to his previous owner, Bruno is housebroken and did great living with children, making him a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. He’s ready to leave the confusion behind and settle into a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished again. His adoption fee is $200, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, and registered microchip. He is already fixed! Meet Sage! This gorgeous lemon beagle mix is around 2 years-old and weighs about 17 pounds. She came to us from a hoarding situation and has recovered from distemper. Sage is a sweet, energetic, playful girl! She does need some extra help with potty training, due to her past living situation. Sage is looking for a patient home, with a fenced yard and a family with prior beagle experience, to allow her to adjust to a new way of life. Did we mention she loves her stuffies?!
