Story
Lucy isn’t a pittie—she’s one of our adorable “pals”! This 3-year-old hound mix has the floppiest ears, the sweetest smile, and a heart full of love. Lucy first came to us through our friends at Bucks Training of Central Jersey. Since she already had a solid training foundation and came from people we trust, we knew we could safely welcome her into our rescue family. Her previous family loved her but, after just 6 months, had to surrender her due to a change in living situation. Lucy is up to date on vaccines and has a mild heart condition, but she doesn’t need medication or have any restrictions. She’ll be seeing our vet soon to confirm she’s doing as great as she seems! Lucy in a nutshell: -Dog friendly -Playful, active & affectionate -Obsessed with blankets & toys -Professional cuddler -Best suited for teens & up Lucy showed off her social skills at our Fall Fest—she met new people, kids, and lots of dogs, and she handled it all like a pro. She’s sweet, mellow, and always ready for fun. For now, Lucy is hanging out with our trainer while she waits for her forever family. Could that be you? Apply to meet Lucy today at pittiesandpals.com. Many other dogs need our help, please consider donating or sponsoring a dog, if possible. 100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs through Pitties and Pals Rescue. Pitties and Pals is a 501c(3) non-profit and we are 100 percent volunteer based. Please consider donating. We appreciate your support. Visit pittiesandpals.com.

Story
Cinnamon is 9 years old and is the sweetest most timid little thing on the planet. Shes great with dogs of all age and size, the same goes for with cats! Shes very quiet and loves to cuddles on the couch and especially the bed. She has developed arthritis in her back leg so sometimes she does limp but I give her a little THC drops for dogs and rub her leg and she’s back in the game. She loves going outside and running as fast as her little legs can take her but she also enjoys her warm cuddles . Shes a perfect fit for someone in older age or with someone that isn’t SUPER adventurous since cinnamon is 9 with arthritis, but again she loves her exercise. She’ll cuddle up with your cats children, dogs, anyone honestly that will let her. You can’t raise your voice to cinnamon because she will most likely pee because she’s so timid. She’s been timid since I adopted her from the apca in 2018. She’s a perfect fit for anyone wanting to grow old with this special little lady. She so loving!!!!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Our Little Low-Rider: Henry  Are you looking for a shadow that wags? A tiny detective with a nose for adventure (and dropped popcorn)? Meet Henry, an 18-month-old Beagle who is officially looking for his forever co-pilot. At just 12 pounds, he’s essentially a "fun-sized" version of a real dog. He’s small enough to fit in your lap, but his heart is roughly the size of a Great Dane’s. The Good Stuff: The Ultimate Socialite: He’s been raised with other dogs and thinks everyone is his best friend. The Peacemaker: He is both cat-friendly and kid-friendly. Whether it’s a feline roommate or a sticky-handed toddler, he’s just happy to be part of the pack. The Snuggle Specialist: When he isn't busy investigating a "suspicious" scent in the backyard, his favorite hobby is professional-grade cuddling. A Few "Beagle-isms" to Note: Being a Beagle, he does come with a few standard features. He has a nose that occasionally "overrules" his brain, and he might offer you a classic "awoo" or two to tell you about his day. He’s 18 months old, so he still has that goofy puppy energy but is old enough to know that naps are a top priority. Why he needs you: Henry is an owner surrender through no fault of his own. He is looking for a home where he can get all the ear scratches he deserves and a family that will appreciate his wagging tail and soulful eyes. Stats at a glance: Age: 18 Months Weight: 12 lbs (The perfect travel size!) Compatibility: Dogs &#226&#156&#133 Cats &#226&#156&#133 Kids &#226&#156&#133 "I may be small, but I promise to fill up every corner of your home with love (and maybe a little bit of howling if the mailman arrives)." — Henry, Beagle Extraordinaire Henry is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  He has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Buddy is a handsome beagle and/or hound mix who is looking for a home! Buddy is with our partner rescue in Louisiana and is headed to a NJ foster home on 12/13. Buddy was dropped off at the shelter as a stray. He was very skinny then but he has flourished in his foster home and is happy and healthy now. His foster mom in Louisiana says he is mellow but also likes to play. He is friendly with other dogs and cats but hasn't been around kids yet. He loves balls and frisbees but doesn't know how to bring them back! He is housebroken and crate trained. Buddy is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application These girls were all hound mommas living in Louisianna.  The all lived with no owner in some swampy area field and all needed to be trapped with their babies to find a better life and brought to NJ.  They are all heartworm positive and we are treating them for that.  All are spayed and up to date on shots.  These girls are shy but very sweet,  loves other dogs and are very gentle with everyone.  Great with housebreaking no accidents in the house but you have to let them out.  They love sitting in the sun.  Any family would be very lucky to adopt one or maybe two of them as they love each other as well.  They love food and treats,  just shake the treats and they all run right in.  These girls all have my heart,  but I obviously can not keep them all.  LOL.  They are small hound girls about 35 lbs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:44 pm
