Introducing Hershey - your new BFF! Hershey has a whole list of amazing qualities to share with you that equal to him being a VGB (very good boy)! Starting with the basics, he is house and crate trained… amazing on leash (doesn’t pull at all) AND he’s great in the car. Indoors he is relaxed and not hyper. He loves just being with his people. He loves to spend time outdoors smelling all the smells. He is only about 1 year old and weighs 38 pounds. His breed is a mystery to us, but we think he has to be part beagle and part pittie. He has beagle qualities of having his nose to the ground and also the size of a beagle. He has the pittie head and is full of those pittie kisses. He LOVES to get belly rubs. He never meets a stranger and will accept love and pets from everyone. He is just the best little boy who can’t wait to start his life with his new family! Story
If you are a beagle lover, look no further.  Meet Shea.   She is approx 24 lbs and two years old.    She is super sweet and enjoys her down time and relaxing.  She is just starting to learn how to play, which I am sure will get better over the next few weeks.   She does not know what to do with a ball yet, but she is learning to play with the other dogs in the house.    When she is outside, her favorite thing to do is relax in the sun on the deck or in the grass.     She is currently in a foster home with other small dogs her size and gets along great with all of them.     She did meet a cat, but was afraid of the kitty. Like all beagles, Shae could have the tendency to be an escape artist.  They love to get a scent and try to find it and that doesn't matter if its under the fence or out the gate.  So hopefully someone with beagle experience will fall in love with her since she is a typical little beagle.     She is great with kids,but since she is a young girl could unintentionally knock over a little one. Shae will sleep in her crate with the door open so she is very comfortable in there.    If you would like to meet her, fill out an application on our website. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Lola Eve came to rescue because of her owner's health issues. Beagle/dachshund, 3 years, 19 pounds, the move away from her only home had her scared, wary of new people. Lola Eve quickly became her foster mom's best friend. She is cautious with new people, but if they are friendly, warms up quickly. Loud noises do make her jumpy. Lola uses the doggie door in her foster home to go outside to potty.  She will use pee pads. She will steal and chew socks if left out. Lola is good with other dogs, really enjoys playing. She needs a doggie buddy in her forever home, and she'd love a new human to welcome her!  Fostered near Philadelphia, PA.  Adoption fee $350. www.longdogsrescue.org/application
