JaRule came in to the shelter in horrible condition as a stray. He has shown his love for life here at the shelter and is thriving with love and care. Hes ready to move on now and find a sofa to curl up on and his very own humans to go for long walks and car rides with. JaRule is very social and loves scratches. He enjoys treats and takes them very politely although you would expect him to grab all he can given his original condition. He keeps his kennel very very clean so we suspect he is housebroken like a gentleman would be. JaRule likes to stop and say hi to all the polite dogs he passes in the kennels, so he does appear dog friendly. Cats are unknown and kids would probably be ok for him to live with just understand he has no real interest in toys. Are you ready to show this guy what life is supposed to be like? He is packed and ready to go.

Meet Mayflower, Mayo for short. She's a sweet, curious, and loyal 7-year-old girl with a gentle spirit and a story worth knowing. We believe she experienced abuse early in life, so she can be easily startled by sudden noises or unfamiliar things. Because of that, her next home will need someone patient, someone willing to give her the time and space to settle in and learn to trust.Once she does, you'll find she's come incredibly far. Mayo has been through training at PetSmart and with a private trainer Chummies Training, and it shows. She's also had positive experiences living alongside both dogs and cats. She just needs the right person to meet her where she is.

My husband and his family first adopted Mayflower in 2020 when she was 9 months old. She lived with another dog at their house before I married my husband and she came to live with us. She's been through obedience triaining and knows her commands very well. When my husband and I had our newborn, we decided it would be best to rehome her. She's a sweet and sassy 7 year old, up to date on all of her vaccines and flea and tick meds. She’s great with other dogs and very sweet to our cats. Our cats love mayflower. She’s a little shy meeting new people but once she warms up, she loves to give kisses and lean on you for pets. She also loves being cozy. She’s potty trained and crate trained with the phrase “go to bed” and she sleeps in her crate every night. She’s also very smart, she will go to her bed when prompted and stay there. We also taught her to hand us a burpee cloth. She loves to catch snow balls and plays very gently with her toys.
