This adorable boy may be a little nervous when meeting new people or experiencing new environments, so he’ll need a family willing to take things slow and let him build confidence at his own pace. Once Skipper gets outside, you’ll see his personality really start to shine! Give him some space to explore and let that famous Beagle nose get to work, and he’s one happy girl. Sniffing and exploring are definitely the way to Skipper’s heart. Skipper would love a patient family who understands that the best relationships take a little time. In return, you’ll get to watch this sweet boy come out of his shell and discover just how wonderful life can be. He’s open to meeting other pets and kids of any age, so he may be the perfect addition to a family ready to give him the time and patience he deserves. Meet Sheba! This sweet Beagle mix is about 2 years old and weighs 30 pounds. She has the cutest white-and-tan spotted coat, but it’s her gentle heart and incredible progress that make her so special. Sheba spent more than a year in a shelter, where she was incredibly scared and completely shut down. Thanks to patient volunteers and now an amazing foster home, she is discovering what it means to feel safe and loved. And every single day, she is gaining more and more confidence. Sheba’s biggest hurdle right now is that quick or unexpected movements still scare her. But she has made so much progress! If you squat down and give her a little space, she will come right over to you. If she’s relaxing in one of her safe spots, like the couch, she is much more comfortable. She is even starting to show just how affectionate she can be — one of her sweetest new habits is laying her head in her foster’s lap while she naps. Her three absolute favorite things are: Other dogs — especially playful ones! Chewing on her bones Zoomies in the yard!Sheba isn’t a high-energy dog, but she definitely has some adorable bursts of puppy playfulness. She especially loves playing with other dogs and would love another playful dog in her new home. Having a confident, fun canine friend has been wonderful for helping her continue to come out of her shell. She would be okay as an only pup too with a patient family. She is happy to entertain herself with a toy or bone. She absolutely loves going for walks and exploring all the interesting smells along the way. She is house trained, although she is not quite ready to potty while on leash yet, so her foster is continuing to work on that. A secure fenced yard is required for Sheba at this time.Inside the house, Sheba is incredibly well behaved. She sleeps peacefully on her dog bed next to her foster’s bed every night and is becoming such an easy companion. She doesn’t love her crate, but her foster is working patiently with her on crate training and she is making progress.Sheba is truly the sweetest, most gentle girl, and watching her blossom has been incredibly rewarding. She isn’t looking for a home that expects her to become confident overnight. She needs someone who will continue to give her patience, encouragement, and the opportunity to discover the brave, playful, affectionate girl hiding inside.After spending so much of her life afraid, Sheba is finally learning that the world can be a wonderful place. Meet June! This adorable 2–3-year-old girl weighs about 30 pounds and is absolutely stealing hearts in her foster home! June and her two puppies were found wandering down a busy road together. Her puppies have already found their forever homes, and now it’s June’s turn to find the loving family she deserves. Our best guess is that June may be a Beagle/Pittie mix, but honestly, we have no idea! What we do know is that she is SO cute and has the most unique markings. June is a quiet, incredibly sweet girl who is doing AMAZING in her foster home. She has already become her foster mom’s little shadow and loves being around her people. She especially loves the kids and has apparently decided that giving out face kisses is one of her favorite activities! She has been wonderful with the children she has met and has also done well with other dogs. She loves to play with other dogs! June is now spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Local surrender Cheesa (female) and Keeba (male) are a bonded pair of 12 year old Beagle Corgi mixes. They are housebroken, crate trained, and well mannered in the home. They enjoy short spurts of zoomies and then back to relaxing on the couch. They love squeaky toys. They are sweet. Walk well on leash. They must be adopted together / remain together. They are both altered / fixed. Weigh about 25 lbs each. Their original owner passed. They are currently in the care of a temporary foster and we are now accepting applications. Speaking of which, I am kind of long in the body, short in the legs. Although They say I'm mixed with beagle, I keep my Arooos to a minimum, Even in the crate! But I'd rather not be in there. You will definitely know when the mail has been delivered, however. I am very, very good in the house and have had only a few accidents, which is pretty good considering my previous life was in an outdoor kennel. I do my business outside, thankyouverymuch, and then I run right back up to the house (unless there are squirrels or my foster brother wants to play). I LOVE to give kisses, and I love to be with my people. I jump up for treats and can, in fact, become airborne on occasion (you have been warned!). I love bones and playing tug, and I won't rip your arm out of its socket doing it because I am a lean 17 lbs. I have puppy energy, but it burns off quickly and then the next thing you know, I'm snoozing next to you on the couch. Or, you know, just under your chin because I don't understand personal space. In short, I'm the complete package: handsome, debonair, affectionate, friendly, and a little bit dim, but also crate-trained, housebroken, and not yappy. Oh, and I'm cool with cats, too. PA Kennel License #5254Wags RescueSouthampton Pa 18966 Local Surrender Meet Rocky Wags Rocky is a 6 year old beagle. He is 42 lbs. He is male / neutered. He is up to date on vaccines and HW negative. He is tricolor with some speckles on his legs. Rocky is friendly and social. He is good with other dogs, large and small. Rocky is currently living w several dogs in foster care. Rocky has not been cat tested but we are not sure that recommending cats is a good idea. Rocky has shown prey interest in wild rabbits, birds, and deer. he goes crazy when he picks up on their scent or sees them. Rocky does not currently live w kids but he has been fine w them when he has met them in public and he has done sleepovers where children were present and he was fine w them . Rocky likes people and likes to be included. Rocky walks decent on leash but he is 42 lbs and has some strength to him when he does pull towards something he is interested in. Rocky is working on crate training and housebreaking and is making great progress as long as things are consistent for him. Rocky would do best in a home with a fenced in and secure yard. He would do best where someone is home a lot and can let him out frequently for him to maintain his housebreaking schedule. Rocky would prefer to be in a home with another dog for comfort and security but could also be successful in a home where there was a person who was home a lot and they could provide that companionship instead. Rocky is ok for a Senior Person as long as they can handle his strength. Rocky can manage stairs. However Rocky is not well suited for an apartment lifestyle due to his barking when left alone. Rocky does not bark during the day when someone is home with him. Rockys main barking comes from times when he is left alone / left home alone and he feels anxious about being separated. Rocky sleeps in the crate at night and does not bark as long as he knows someone is near him (He is currently sleeping in a crate in the fosters bedroom so he can see her). Rocky will sleep thru the night without issue. Rocky attends most events and the foster is willing to answer questions about Rocky and what he needs.
