Meet Emma! This sweet well adjusteud girl is ready to meet her forever family. Emma gets along well with other dogs and tolerates cats. She’s shy around new people, especially men, but if left alone, warms up quickly. Once past the introduction phase, she actually loves attention and will snuggle with you on the couch, even trying to sit on your lap! Because she’s an attention diva, she’ll do well as an only dog but doesnt have to be an only dog. So far, her only drawback is she doesn’t do well around young children. Their sudden movements make her nervous. Older kids, 10 and up should be OK. Emma is house and crate trained. She does well left on her own in the house, even for several hours or overnight. She walks well on leash, no pulling or lagging. Her energy level is medium to low. She enjoys laying on the deck watching for squirrels or bunnies. She’s a talker, and barks when excited or if she hears something, making her a good watch dog. Emma is spayed, up to date on vaccines.

Hello, I am 57 and he was my emotional support pet. I want him to go to a new home with a loving family, he’s playful, attentive, sensitive. He sympathize with you when you’re sad or not feeling well or when people are upset and he’s very loyal. He needs to be able to release his energy. I would hope he would get out often to wander, explore when walked. He is trained on an electric collar which we never shocked him. We would just buzz him. He’s a very lovable dog. His bad habits are if you leave food unattended he will take it for himself. He gets anxious if he can’t find you, or yellin. he sometimes gets under foot when you’re doing things like cooking. If your eating he will burn a hole in your head hoping you’d share your food w/ him.. He likes toast bread w/butter. He likes most human cooked scraps w/a little of his kibble. Water? He tends to over drink chokes, then vomits. He’s a good dog some faults but not many, he’ll become your best friend.

Elliott is a gentle soul. He loves snacks, tug toys, and chin scratches. Elliott is working through some anxiety about being outside and in unfamiliar spaces. He needs a family that is equally gentle and willing to move at his pace. Elliott is intelligent, curious, and playful at heart, and enjoys partaking in puppy antics (especially with his foster brothers) in spaces where he feels comfortable. Elliott would do best with another calm and confident dog in the home to help him blossom. His family will need to continue potty, crate, and leash training using positive reinforcement. Elliott gets along with other dogs with appropriate introductions, and has not yet met kids or cats. Elliott is approximately 1.5 years old and 30lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives. Please note: Our beagles are former lab dogs. Before you apply, make sure you do your research and understand what that will mean when bringing them home (we're going to ask!). These dogs will need time, patience, and positive reinforcement while they learn to exist in our world.
