Story
Beau is three years old and will be four on October 19th. Beau will need someone who has experience in anxious and fear reactive dogs. He is a very very timid guy. With moving to a new place and right next to busy traffic, Beau is not adjusting well. Beau needs to be with someone who lives in a more rural quiet area with a yard. Does well with older children 13+ years old. He does well with calmer dogs. He is a great car rider, likes sticks and toys, and loves to play fetch. Very very smart and knows basic commands. He has fear reactivity due to being a Covid pup. He needs someone with a lot of patience and time. I just want him to go to a home that he can live his life to the fullest with. He is crate trained and house trained. Does better with women rather than men but it takes awhile to warm up to men.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Patsy is 35 pounds of sassy sweet fun!  She gets along well with male dogs and can tolerate female dogs who accept her assertive nature. Patsy is friendly towards people, well-trained in crate and house manners, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for heartworm. Patsy was a  nurturing mother who turned up her with two young pups seeking help. She did her time as a nurturing mother. Now it's Patsy's turn to be pampered. Patsy was adopted before, but had to return to us unexpectedly after her previous owner passed away. She went to her next home and seems to kinda miss being the top dog. She longs for the devoted care she once had as a spoiled single gal and hopes to find a new home that will shower her with love and attention.   Age: 4-5 y/o Weight: 35 lbs Temperament: Gets along with male dogs and submissive females; does like to be boss :) Training: Housetrained, crate-trained Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm neg Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.  September 13, 2024, 12:18 pm

Butterscotch would be a perfect fit for a first-time adopter or a family, or someone who just wants an easy, social dog. She is friendly, and she's tested well with both kids and other dogs. She was surrendered by a veterinarian who was caring for her after she was left behind at the vet's office. The vet described Butterscotch as "friendly, shy, happy and a cuddlebug." She appears house trained or close to it.

Story
Maggie Boo is the quintessential lovable and active young dog. This beautiful girl was lucky enough to spend a month in a foster home and got rave reviews. Her foster dad reports that she's a fetch fanatic and the perfect running buddy. "Maggie Boo is indeed a delightful pet! Very affectionate, smart, and playful. She does have a lot of energy & expends it mostly in the backyard with zoomies and tireless sessions of fetching tennis balls. She enjoys walks and is very well-behaved when meeting people (including children). She always gets compliments on her friendliness and good looks. Inside the house, she is very well-behaved and her house training proves to be perfect."Maggie is extra special: She has a condition called megaesophagus - this simply means that she eats sitting up in a special chair (called a bailey chair) and waits 10 minutes in the chair after eating and drinking. She's a pro at managing without any fuss.Maggie is dog-friendly, a true lover of toys, and enjoys a good cuddle session. She is still a pup and ready to play and love with all her heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhPmzXY0NLQ

Story
Loki is a pretty shy dog. But he does get along with other dogs and he loves to run around in the yard with the neighbors dog. He does shed a bit of fur and I would suggest at least daily brushing. Overall he’s such a lovable and caring dog. As he loves to follow you around everywhere. Unfortunately his caretaker my brother is unable to watch over him. I would love to take him in but I’m currently living in a college dorm and my parents have just moved into an apartment with no animals allowed.
