Story
Sabrina is an amazing dog who just needs someone willing to work with her. She is amazing with children (just needs work on being too excited around small children but has gotten much better with our fosters 2 year old) She is most definitely mixed with a working breed - she needs consistent exercise to be a calm house dog and will become destructive if her mind isn’t stimulated. She absolutely loves sniff walks and fetch to wear her out and work her brain. She will need a more involved owner who understands her needs. She has a lot of allergies and our vet believes her skin issues may just be a chronic life long struggle. She is taking 1/2 an apoquel a day and her foster supplements with calming treats and allergy/immune boost treats daily. We have not done an elimination diet to determine exact allergies, but she is currently eating Rachel Ray Limited Ingredient (Just 6 depending on bag design/store) Lamb flavor and has been doing better! She still has bald spots and flare ups if the weather is bad or she gets stressed out. We’re working on determining when it happens to try and eliminate the flare ups so her hair can grow back fully. Currently all 4 shoulders have some degree of baldness and occasional bumps from her chewing, but I’ve been keeping sweaters on her and the calming treats to try and get her to leave the area alone long enough for the hair to grow back. She’s got some unique quirks that make her even more special! She is described as being cat like - she absolutely loves to be up high looking over everything. When outside, she can be found hopping onto the patio table to look in windows or take a nap. She’s also been caught napping on top of book shelves or any surface big enough to hold her body and she’ll curl up like she’s meant to be there! She has no fear when it comes to humans, but can be skittish in the house when it comes to switching rooms or entering/exiting like she’s unsure what will come from the other room. She does alright with other dogs in neutral territory, but does resource guard her food, kennel, and occasionally the fosters sun room if she can see the other dogs filtering in and out while she’s hanging out in there. However, she responds incredibly well to correction and is eager to please! With or without treats, she loves to practice new skills and is working incredibly hard to be calm in the house! She still has trouble channeling her energy some days if she hasn’t had enough stimulation, but you can see how hard she tries to maintain composure during training sessions! She’s a work in progress, but her personality and temperament are perfect for someone looking for a loyal dog that’s willing to do anything from cuddle on the couch to adventure with them! https://www.pupandcatco.com/

Story
Beau is three years old and will be four on October 19th. Beau will need someone who has experience in anxious and fear reactive dogs. He is a very very timid guy. With moving to a new place and right next to busy traffic, Beau is not adjusting well. Beau needs to be with someone who lives in a more rural quiet area with a yard. Does well with older children 13+ years old. He does well with calmer dogs. He is a great car rider, likes sticks and toys, and loves to play fetch. Very very smart and knows basic commands. He has fear reactivity due to being a Covid pup. He needs someone with a lot of patience and time. I just want him to go to a home that he can live his life to the fullest with. He is crate trained and house trained. Does better with women rather than men but it takes awhile to warm up to men.

Story
Butterscotch would be a perfect fit for a first-time adopter or a family, or someone who just wants an easy, social dog. She is friendly, and she's tested well with both kids and other dogs. She was surrendered by a veterinarian who was caring for her after she was left behind at the vet's office. The vet described Butterscotch as "friendly, shy, happy and a cuddlebug." She appears house trained or close to it.

Story
Maggie Boo is the quintessential lovable and active young dog. This beautiful girl was lucky enough to spend a month in a foster home and got rave reviews. Her foster dad reports that she's a fetch fanatic and the perfect running buddy. "Maggie Boo is indeed a delightful pet! Very affectionate, smart, and playful. She does have a lot of energy & expends it mostly in the backyard with zoomies and tireless sessions of fetching tennis balls. She enjoys walks and is very well-behaved when meeting people (including children). She always gets compliments on her friendliness and good looks. Inside the house, she is very well-behaved and her house training proves to be perfect."Maggie is extra special: She has a condition called megaesophagus - this simply means that she eats sitting up in a special chair (called a bailey chair) and waits 10 minutes in the chair after eating and drinking. She's a pro at managing without any fuss.Maggie is dog-friendly, a true lover of toys, and enjoys a good cuddle session. She is still a pup and ready to play and love with all her heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhPmzXY0NLQ

Story
Panda came to us as a stray several months ago and we've worked with her to get her potty trained and suitable for another family. She does not do well with small children and her new home should be child and animal free. She loves attention and prefers to be the only love in your life! She is completely crate trained and knows basic commands. We would keep her if we didn't already have small children! If interested in Panda we would love to meet you!
