Story
Maggie Boo is the quintessential lovable and active young dog. This beautiful girl was lucky enough to spend a month in a foster home and got rave reviews. Her foster dad reports that she's a fetch fanatic and the perfect running buddy. "Maggie Boo is indeed a delightful pet! Very affectionate, smart, and playful. She does have a lot of energy & expends it mostly in the backyard with zoomies and tireless sessions of fetching tennis balls. She enjoys walks and is very well-behaved when meeting people (including children). She always gets compliments on her friendliness and good looks. Inside the house, she is very well-behaved and her house training proves to be perfect."Maggie is extra special: She has a condition called megaesophagus - this simply means that she eats sitting up in a special chair (called a bailey chair) and waits 10 minutes in the chair after eating and drinking. She's a pro at managing without any fuss.Maggie is dog-friendly, a true lover of toys, and enjoys a good cuddle session. She is still a pup and ready to play and love with all her heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhPmzXY0NLQ

Story
Beau is three years old and will be four on October 19th. Beau will need someone who has experience in anxious and fear reactive dogs. He is a very very timid guy. I unfortunately am not able to invest anymore into his trainings. He was on fluoxetine and it only made his behavior worse. I have trained him countless hours and to the best of my ability but with my work schedule and moving to a new place, Beau is not adjusting well. Beau needs to be with someone who lives in a more rural quiet area with a yard. Does well with older children 13+ years old. He does well with calmer dogs. He is a great car rider, likes sticks and toys, and loves to play fetch. He has fear reactivity due to being a Covid pup. He needs someone with a lot of patience and time. I just want him to go to a home that he can live his life to the fullest with. He is crate trained and house trained. Does better with women rather than men but it takes awhile to warm up to men. Fee so I know he’s going to a good home.

Story
Loki is a pretty shy dog. But he does get along with other dogs and he loves to run around in the yard with the neighbors dog. He does shed a bit of fur and I would suggest at least daily brushing. Overall he’s such a lovable and caring dog. As he loves to follow you around everywhere. Unfortunately his caretaker my brother is unable to watch over him. I would love to take him in but I’m currently living in a college dorm and my parents have just moved into an apartment with no animals allowed.

Story
Meet “Nella” - a brand new member of the RMG family. “Nella” is an Italian name meaning highly praiseworthy, luminous, radiant and TRULY this describes her perfectly. She was found tied to a dumpster behind a restaurant outside a few hours outside of Atlanta - there was even some talk around of her brother possibly having been shot - so people must have known more about her after animal control picked her up.   Lena or LenaBean as her foster parents fondly call her, is truly the most tender hearted, affectionate, sweet natured energizer bunny ever! In the house Lena is a couch potato and LOVES to be with her human and dog family. Outside, Lena turns into a lightening speed, chipmunk hunter and cross country triathlete. She runs top speed through the fenced in yard with her foster brother chasing squirrels and chipmunks and just showing off her general love for life. Lena is definitely a high energy dog that would need a family that has a completely fenced in yard and experience with breeds that are very intelligent and require a lot of exercise. Lena absolutely has an off switch, which is great, and she also has the eager to please nature so common with Border Collies. Her previous life before coming into RMG’s family has left her with some quirks which her new family should be aware of. She has a tremendous fear of loud noises and definitely needs some human support and comfort when lawn mowers, weed wackers and such are going. All in all, she is a very special girl that has the sweetest heart and deserves a family that will play with, love and protect her. Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand ownership experience with either purebred border collies or Australian Shepherds is a strict requirement to adopt Lena ##2046459##

Story
Morgan is a 1 year old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs, small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. Due to Morgan's past, the trainer we worked with believes she would do best in a quiet home with a few other dogs and no children. She does best in a structured environment because it makes her feel most secure. To adopt this sweet girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $150, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.
