Meet Mr. Crane! He will certainly be happy to meet you. This dog does happy like no dog I've ever seen. He literally jumps for joy! When I come home, He goes sailing past my head. Crane is very playful. He especially likes those rope toys, which he will play with on his own or he'll play tug of war until your arm falls off. But if you sit still for long enough, he will curl up with you. That is his favorite place to be, in contact with his people. It gives him a sense of security. Crane did not have a good start in life. He was seconds away from being euthanizedHe is one year old and has lived in at least four places during the first 10 months. So in his little world, everyone you love goes away. That makes him crave reassurance. If he can just settle some place and learn that no one is leaving, I think that he should develop a little more independence. Won't you give Mr. Crane a chance? He's a beautiful, sweet-tempered boy who will be overjoyed for a chance to be your best friend.

Boss man has been with me since birth. He was the alpha pup of my parents' family pet, Diamond. Unfortunately, I'm at a point in my life where i need to relocate, but i just am not able to accommodate him on this transition. I've gone back and forth with myself about this decision for about 5 years. i honestly don't want to give him up for adoption but my current situation has forced me to decide. Meet Odie! Odie is one of many dogs we have saved from rural Upson County lately. Being a very small, rural shelter the dogs are only held for a very short stray hold before they are at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully they have a very dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to try to get the dogs to safety before their time runs out Odie is about a year and a half old and not even 35 lbs - what a great age and size! It's hard to know for sure what breed he is given that he was a stray but those tell tale spots could mean there is some heeler or maybe even bird dog in there. We prefer to think of him as 100% purebred Rescue Mutt - the best kid of dog there is! Odie is great with other dogs and has learned to really love his crate as well. He's a super social guy who was a big hit at one of our adoption events recently - stopping to greet all of the new people he came upon. WHERE ARE OUR BASKETBALL FANS?! Here at RMG we are HUGE fans of the Atlanta Hawks and are already gearing up for pre-season to get underway in about 6 weeks! One of our recent additions is especially excited! Asa, named after Asa Newell UGA alumni and current Hawks rookie and first round draft pick, is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard dog mix who is about a year old. Like his namesake, Asa is young, energetic, and LOVES playing ball! Although our Asa does prefer tennis balls to basketballs. Aside from being fun and incredibly handsome, Asa is also super loving and crate trained! He would truly make an amazing running or hiking partner and will thrive in an active family!
