Story
Charlie is the perfect dog outside of his allergeies. He has to be on a medication that’s roughly $85 a month. As a single mom I can’t do it. House trained great with my son, he has been in my apartment for two years and is used to holding it while I’m at work. I have been taking him the vet bi-monthly so he is pretty up to date but I financially can’t do it.

Story
If you&#39re looking for a sweet, easy-going, and loving girl then Lucky Charm may be the perfect fit for you! This adorable, middle age, black and white girl is a Border Collie/Jack Russell mix who weighs 28lbs. Lucky Charm had a sad start to her life - she lived outside with her sibling, a pig, and then her owner went to jail. She was taken to animal control before joining BarkVille Dog Rescue. She has gone through heartworm treatment and is now fully healthy and ready for a loving forever family! Lucky Charm has a great disposition - she is calm, trustworthy, and always smiling! She is a smart girl and is house trained, and although she is crate trained, she is non-destructive when left out. This friendly girl gets along well with both dogs and cats, and would be happy in a variety of homes. Although she has a lower energy level, she absolutely love going a walk every day! Lucky Charm is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.June 2, 2025, 4:15 pm

Story
Miss P is a beautiful Border Collie/ Lab mix. She is a middle aged girl, and is ready for her forever family! She is very dog friendly, and has a rough and tumble play style. She has never met a dog that she doesn&#39t like! Miss P is very food motivated and takes treats gently. She&#39s crate trained, house trained, and knows her basic commands. Miss P enjoys hunting for critters in the yard and chewing on her Nyla bones! Miss P would love a forever home with another dog and a fenced yard where she can spend time outside. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Story
Meet Fawn Merle! Fawn Merle is a high-energy female Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, born on 2/2/25! She is a beautiful girl with lots of love to give!   Like any other pup, she loves running around and playing hard! And also like most herding breed pups, she can be a bit chompy, but is doing great at being redirected onto toys. She really enjoys chewing on things, so plenty of chew toys are a must! Also, experience with high-energy/working breeds is highly preferred. And while she has been good with the kids she met, older kids (10+) will be best for her.   Due to breeding, Fawn merle was born with a preventable genetic trait called "double-merle," which mostly affects pigmentation, eyes, and ears. Fawn is deaf and has vision only in her right eye. Despite these obstacles, she continues to show she can do just as much as other pups! Since she is deaf and visually challenged, a fenced yard will be required to ensure she has a safe space to play and exercise.   Her foster momma is a certified dog trainer, so Fawn is already learning certain behaviors such as a hand touch, sitting, and lying down with a combination of food/toy rewards, and tactile touch. To continue good behaviors and practices, the foster/trainer has offered to contribute a training session for Fawn's adopters before going to her new home, as well as training support for LIFE.  You can apply to adopt this gorgeous and trained girl by going to the website below and completing an adoption application.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          May 23, 2025, 1:19 pm

Story
LEARNING TO TRUST:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 43 lbs. Hi, my name is Austin!  I was at animal control when Mostly Mutts came for me.  I’m very grateful, but I was also quite scared and shut down. The volunteers and trainers are helping me get ready for my new family by being patient with me while I gain confidence to be a great companion.  Are you looking for a sweet boy who needs the love and patience of an amazing family to help me open up in my new home?  If that sounds like you, read on and let’s see if we’re a match!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came in with another scared dog named Dylan and we do love each other a lot!  Right now, we are both settling into shelter life and learning some independence from each other. I am the follower and Dylan the leader with a little more confidence than me. It’s not required that we’re adopted together, but if we can be, I’d be so happy! If we’re not adopted together, my trainer does think that I should have another dog-friendly dog in my new home to continue learning from. The tricky part right now is that I’m still a bit too scared to play with other dogs yet, though I have not shown any aggression.  So, if you have a dog that you think may be a fit for me, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I met nice kids around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and was nervous but interested and didn’t show any aggression.  I think I would likely do best living with older, mature kids who have calm natures such as 15+ years old.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a nice boy who came in very scared and insecure.  I don’t remember my past, but it had to be hard. I definitely need extra time to settle in at the shelter as well as the love and patience from the shelter volunteers and trainers who are working to help me build confidence.  They are slowly seeing me start to smile and I’ll let them give me some love, but I do still try to find a way out. A dog savvy family that understands I didn’t have a normal dog’s upbringing and will need lots of time to adjust in my new home would be a great fit for me. I just know that the heart-shaped spot on my left hip is a sign that there is a loving nature ready to be revealed – with patience and kindness. No apartment/condo type home please as that would just be too much commotion for me. / My energy level is 4-6.    • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I’m working with a trainer to become more comfortable with normal dog things. I am a puller on my leash and deemed a flight risk, so only an experienced dog walker should walk me for now. Also, a secure fenced yard will be best. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule, so hopefully I’ll do well in my new home on a good schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Right now, the volunteers are working to learn what things I like and what makes me nervous or unsure.  I will need a patient and loving owner who will open their heart and give me time to adjust and relax in my home.  Then, I will surely open my heart to you. / I don’t like to be rushed or forced into new situations too fast.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m on inexpensive anxiety medications to help me with the stress I’m feeling. I am looking for a home with a dog savvy person who will use patience and love to help me adjust in my new home.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 1, 2025, 6:59 am
