Story
Lincoln is a handsome young Border Collie Mix, with an estimated date of birth of December 23 2022. He weighs about 45 lbs. He absolutely loves people and is very affectionate. However he is not fond of other dogs. Lincoln enjoys spending time in his foster family’s yard and would love a forever home with a large, secure fenced (above ground) yard. He loves spending time with human friends and needs a family or, a single pet parent, who will spend plenty of time with him. Because he’s not good with other dogs, dog parks are not on his list of favorite places! However, he is an active boy and would love to go for hikes and runs with his people….when he’s not playing in his own yard! Border Collie experience is a big plus for this smart boy. Due to his energy/playfulness, he is not an apartment or condo dweller. Rather, he’d love his own spaces where he could run and play, and an active family, or pet parent!! Lincoln is up to date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventative. He is neutered and microchipped as well. For information about adding this adorable boy to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the far NW suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to this area.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ⭐️ Noah ⭐️ Noah is a 9-month-old Border Collie/Lab mix… and 100% lovable goofball. This fuzzy little lovebug is eager to please and just waiting for his forever person or family to choose him. What’s he like? Great with other dogs and loves to play. Equal parts Velcro pup and independent entertainer — he’ll happily dig through the toy basket and keep himself busy. Knows not to chew furniture or shoes, though socks and dryer sheets are his weakness (he’ll drop them when asked!). Can get overstimulated in chaotic environments and prefers slow introductions. He may take a minute to warm up, but he’s worth the wait. Once he trusts you, he is the sweetest snuggle bug who just wants to be close to his person. What can he do? Kennel trained (sleeps through the night and goes in on command). Fully potty trained with subtle but clear cues. Excellent in the car — calm, comfy, and observant. Recently graduated a 10-day obedience program! He knows “wait,” “place,” “come,” “heel,” loose-leash walking, and more. His perfect match? ✔️ Someone committed to continuing his training and staying consistent. ✔️ A confident, dog-savvy adopter who can guide him and help build his confidence. No cats please! Noah is smart, silly, and full of heart — he just needs someone ready to have his back forever. Story
Age: 1-2 years Breed: Border Collie mix Sex: Male Weight: 40 lbs Energy Level: Low-Medium Jesse is a young Border Collie mix who has been dealt a crummy beginning. He was found roaming the streets in a rural Kentucky town, starving. A kind person got him to rescue and fast forward to where he is now. He arrived with a broken front tooth and thanks to EVERYONE who donated to the procedure, Jesse was able to have that removed! He is now pain free and much more comfortable. Over time, he has shown himself to be a sensitive, athletic, and deeply loyal dog who does best with structure, patience, and people willing to give him time to adjust. As he’s grown more comfortable, his personality and enthusiasm for the outdoors have really started to emerge. He cracks us up as he LOVES to roll in the grass every chance that he gets as well as dragging his back legs through the grass in the most dramatic stretch possible. Jesse is a sensitive dog who will need a bit to fully adjust to a new home. When faced with change, his first instinct is often to shut down and observe. With patience, consistency, and confident leadership, he builds trust and becomes deeply devoted to his people (currently enjoying life as a 40 lb. lap dog). As his confidence has grown in foster care, Jesse’s playful, goofy personality has emerged. Once comfortable, he loves movement and is open to adventure. He now enjoys walks, runs, and even hikes, and he has done wonderfully with new experiences when given time and reassurance. Jesse is crate-trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and does well when left alone. He is potty-trained, knows basic cues like “sit” and “no,” and is very food-motivated, making him receptive to training. Like many young herding dogs, Jesse can be nippy during play, and we continue to work on appropriate play skills with him. He has a strong herding instinct and has shown herding and prey-drive behaviors toward cats and young children. While he is gentle at heart, his enthusiasm and instincts can be overwhelming for small kids. Jesse would do best in a cat-free home and a home without children, ideally with adults or older children familiar with herding breeds. Jesse currently lives with 2 female dogs and another male foster dog was in the house for a while. He does fabulous with both genders and respects direction from them when they disagree with something that he might have done to "annoy" them. For example, he loves to chase and wrestle and sometimes can run into the girls when not paying attention, which they may let him know that they didn't like it and he is like "ok, sorry!" Never a reaction back from him. He can be a noisy player (talkative) but quiets when asked. He has 2 rubber like balls that he LOVES LOVE LOVES. He snuggles with other toys but we have not seen him play with them like he does these balls. Jesse is protective of his family in the home. He is currently working on resource guarding with his foster family and has been receptive to training, but he may always benefit from having a clearly defined space that is his own where he can decompress and feel secure. He has been comfortable meeting new people outside while on walks. He was able to go on a 10 day Spring Break vacation with another foster home and did fabulous! He enjoyed meeting all their dogs and really enjoyed his new "people" for the week. Jesse is athletic and has an excellent nose. He may be a wonderful fit for some agility, scent work, or enrichment-based classes, which would help build his confidence and strengthen his bond with his future family. With the right home, one that understands herding breeds, values structure, and is willing to give him time, Jesse will thrive. He is loyal, sensitive, and full of promise, and once he bonds, he bonds deeply. Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Reach out for more info on how he can join your home! Story
Name: Aries Oliver Breed: Border Collie / Feist Mix Gender: Male DOB: 8/11/25 Aries Oliver is a young Border Collie/Feist mix with a bright mind, a playful spirit, and a heart ready to bond. Born on 8/11/25, he’s still very much a puppy — curious about the world and eager to grow into the best companion he can be. Currently around 40/50lbs and we don’t think he will get much bigger! With his breed mix, Aries brings together intelligence and affection. He enjoys staying busy, learning new things, and engaging with his people. Training sessions, interactive toys, and outdoor adventures are great ways to engage with him and keep him entertained. He is at a wonderful age to continue building confidence and developing strong household manners. Aries would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. A securely fenced yard is a bonus, but an active family committed to daily walks, playtime, and enrichment is a must. With guidance and consistency, he has all the potential to become a loyal, well-rounded adult dog. He is looking for a family that understands the needs of an intelligent working-breed mix and is excited to invest time in helping him succeed. In return, Aries Oliver will offer companionship, enthusiasm, and a lifetime of devotion. If you are interested in adding Aries Oliver to your home, please fill out an adoption application on our website https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/

Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Female - 6 months - 32 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - ILBIO Hello! My name is Cindy. I am a 6-month-old female currently weighing 32 pounds. My mom, Katrina, had a DNA test done and it showed that she is mostly Cattle Dog, Great Pyrenees and Shepherd. So I guess that’s what I am mostly too. Do you like the spots on my ears? Most people tell me how cute they are. They also like that I have one ear up and one ear down.I enjoy when people pay attention to me when we go on walks. Did I mention that for a puppy I walk really good on a leash? Well, I do and my foster mom tells me how good of a walker I am. I am also learning a few words such as sit, off, leave it, inside, outside and easy. I think she calls them commands. My house breaking is coming right along. It was delayed because it was such a cold winter.Sometimes when people are walking past the house with their dog, they stop and I’m able to play with them in the backyard. Foster mom has been throwing a toy in the backyard, and I chase it then I bring it back to her. I really enjoy the time with my foster mom, but she keeps telling me that one day I will have a family of my own. I know I am not a White Shepherd but if you're looking for a great dog then look no further because you found one ME! I hope you will consider me if you have children or another canine that needs a friend. Story
Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Female • 6.5-Months • 43lbs • Microchipped • Spayed • OHHello! My name is Elena. I am a 6.5-month-old cuddle bug. I am house-trained and crate trained. Since I am young it is best to crate me when you cannot supervise me. When my Foster mom is home, she leaves the crate open and I go lay inside. I take a minute to warm up to new people. I might bark at first, but when I realize you are a friend, I want all the pets and attention you can give me.I currently live with two female dogs and get along very well with them. I have also met other dogs with no issues. I haven’t met any cats, so I don’t know how I feel about them. I like all toys, especially the ones that I can pull all the stuffing out of. I even know how to play fetch. I like going for rides in the car. I pull a little on the leash, but we can work on that. I know way too many commands to list. Foster mom says I am very smart and easy to train.I would like to find a home that already has a canine companion for me to play with. Although I don’t live with children in my foster home, I would be very good with them. We could play and they can teach me things. I could be an only dog as long as you are home with me more often than not. I am a very active girl and like lots of love and attention. I am a pretty well-rounded girl. What kind of home do you have? Do you think I could fit in with your family?   Follow me on Facebook:  #EchoDogElena For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org.   Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Story
Libby is sure a unique-looking young girl; how can anyone not love her huge ears!! She is thought to be an Australian Kelpie Mix (possibly with Bull Terrier). She weighs about 30 lbs. Her estimated date of birth is June 5th 2023. Libby is a typical puppy, very energetic and playful. She likes to jump and can sometimes forget herself and be a little too rough with other dogs. But….…she is young and needs to learn boundaries and manners in order to evolve into a wonder family member with a forever family she so deserves.. This sweet pup likes playing with other dogs; she’s great with dogs and would enjoy the companionship of another dog in the home. Most likely, a young or middle-aged adult dog would prefer his company much more so than a senior dog. An ideal family for Libby is one able to assimilate the enthusiasm and playfulness of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Libby to be her best self! A secure fenced yard is required; another younger or middle-aged pup in the family could also be advantageous. Libby is crate-trained and is working hard to improve her house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Her spay is included in her adoption fee. For information about adding this adorable girl to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.
