He is potty-trained and crate-trained, sleeping all night in his kennel. He loves to zoom around, enjoy a yummy bone or licky mat, then plop down to take a nice nap. He’s finding his voice and will let you know he’s excited for mealtime. He is an absolute pro in the car, mostly laying down for the ride, but pops up when he’s curious about what’s outside the car. He can “sit”, takes treats “slow”, and is on his way to understanding “kennel”. Noah is the sweetest boy, but he’s still looking for his forever family to give him all the love, patience, and playfulness he deserves. Neely is on a furlough this week: "She’s super playful and super curious about everything. Potty training is going well if we take her out enough but if we have pee pads around she’ll use them, she didn’t like the windy night we had the other day, it scared her and she didn’t want to go outside so pee pads for the win. Flew in by Pilots for Paws. She is adorable and sweet! She loves running around and snuggling. She is super playful and lovable with gorgeous blue eyes!. Biscotti is the kind of puppy you don’t just like—you fall in love with her. This sweet ~4-month-old Border Collie/Husky mix recently spent the weekend on furlough with our family, and she fit right in like she had always been here. In a wonderfully chaotic household with three kids, adults, and a playful 3-year-old Bernedoodle, Biscotti was gentle, kind, curious, and so incredibly loving. She’s playful and fun—loves dog bones and tennis balls—but when she’s had her fill of fun, she’s happiest curled up right in your lap, fast asleep. She’s a skinny little thing who definitely appreciates mealtime (can you blame her?), and she has the softest brindle coat paired with the most stunning eyes and ears you’ll ever see on one dog. Biscotti is still a puppy, which means she’s learning. She isn’t fully house-trained yet, but she did beautifully sleeping overnight in her kennel and settled quickly without much fuss. She rarely barked and showed just how adaptable and easygoing she truly is. If we were in a place to take on puppy training right now, there’s no question—Biscotti would already be ours. She’s already showing all the signs of becoming an incredible dog. Barney is a 3yr old border collie mix, he came to us on October 18th from a shelter in KY. He spent the last 8 months in the shelter and supposedly hasn't seen sun or grass in those 8 months. When he arrived there he was feral and no one could touch him because he was so shut down and scared. After gaining trust with one of the volunteers, he slowly came around and has blossomed into an incredible boy. He is a very friendly and loving dog. He loves going on walks and exploring. He is a little cautious when approaching new surroundings. He will slowly investigate and determine a course of action. He is the same when meeting new people. He loves to play with tugs and acts as if he is still a puppy. Barney needs work with basic commands but knows "no" and "leave it". He doesn't know "heal", but he is a dream on a leash, and doesn't pull or lunge. He loves to play with people or other dogs. He has been on walks and encountered deer, cats, dogs and has had no reactions. Saw a squirrel and did want to chase it, but did not pull. He would be a perfect companion for a house with or without dogs as long as there was plenty of time for him to be with people. Barney is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. He is currently being treated for hookworms, lyme and ehrlichia. Get your application in on this guy ASAP as you will not want to miss out on such a sweet boy! Only a final approval for adoption can take place after a successful meet and greet. This is done by appointments only. We will not proceed with the adoption if everyone has not met the dog. This will allow others the opportunity to adopt the dog. 2. Adopters MUST be 25 years old. Information on all adults/members living in the home is required We REQUIRE you to provide proof and vet reference that all current and past pets have been kept up to date on all routine medical. 3. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spayed/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, 4. If you do not own your home, you must provide landlord contact information on the application and a copy of your lease that outlines the rules for dog ownership in your residence. Large breed dogs will not be adopted into apartment settings or where there are breed/ size restrictions. Puppies have special needs and require a home where someone is available to care for, socialize, and give basic training. If you are gone for more than a couple hours at a time, please consider adopting a teen or older dog. 5. Adoption fees are $425.00. We accept Zelle, Cash or Checks. (Prices are subject to change without notice). 6. All dogs and puppies adopted through Forever Home are fully vetted with age appropriate vaccines. Keep in mind once you take possession of your newly adopted dog, any and all future medical costs or care is YOUR responsibility. 7. First time puppy/dog adopters will be required to sign up for and pay in advance a basic training class. A deposit of an extra 50.00 will be required until a class has been completed, it will then be returned. 8.
