Story
Kiki and Kitsune, named after the animals we resembled when we were saved. Kiki after a coyote name, I mean... look at my ears :) And Kitsune is a fox name, I looked like a little fox when I was saved!! Us girls are sweet and loving and happy with people we know, but you can't blame us for being nervous with new people- we were found abandoned in a field in the deep valley of TX with our dead mother and siblings in a trash bag with us........................ So yes, we are nervous with new people but honestly- new people are only new for a day or two- then you are OUR peeps!! We do not have to be adopted together, but our story is the same so we will share it together... We came to the rescue absolutely petrified but geez, our foster mama was so nice and fed us wonderful food and we were loving on her quickly. So glad to be safe, fed and loved! Now we are preparing for our families and that must be you! We are both gorgeous girls, Kitsune has grown to almost her sister's size, so both are looking to be large full grown pups. Local adoption only so they can meet your families and you can get to know them too! ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY LIVES DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption is $250 each (in TX)

Story
Sadie is looking for a home due to circumstances surrounding a separation. She does great with cats, other dogs her size and has been around chickens and goats with no issues. She is not food aggressive but is very food driven. She does not do well with smaller dogs. She is house trained and is crated when no one is home only due to issues with her getting into the trash. We do not currently have a fenced in yard so she is frequently walked and is great on a leash, however, she does get really excited when other dogs are around so it’s best that she wears a harness instead of a regular collar.

Story
Arya is a very intelligent animal. She can sit, lay down, crawl and stand on hind legs and she loves to play fetch. She gets along really well with children and other dogs and is protective of her family. This energetic girl requires enough space to run wild until she is ready to come and cuddle up next to you for the night. Unfortunately though we have the space, this intelligent specimen is so smart she has found a way out of yard several times. Considering we live in an extremely busy neighborhood along a busy road we are concerned for her safety because of her disappearing acts. She will flourish most and get to live her best doggy life under an experienced owner.

Story
STUART is a sweet fluffy little mixed breed puppy looking for a home. His breed mix is a mystery. He appears to be part Australian Shepherd, but is much smaller than an Aussie. He could have some Corgi and/or Jack Russell in the mix and who knows what else. He's around 6 months old and 16 pounds but a bit too skinny. We don't expect him to get much bigger, he'll probably remain under 25 pounds when fully grown. Stuart is a friendly boy, a bit on the timid side, best suited to home where he will have a confident dog to show him the ropes. He loves people of all ages. Stuart loves toys and treats. He's already housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Stuart, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Stuart at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if she's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Story
Say Hello to Tucker! Tucker is a 9-month-old, 20 lb Mini Aussie. This handsome boy is eager to explore the world then cuddle on the couch. What more could you ask for! He is adjusting so well to his new found freedom! What a fast learner- no potty accidents in the house and comes when called. Now that he is comfortable in his foster home he is showing interest in toys and bones, looks like he's going to be a big fan! He is happy to meet new people, he just needs a minute or two to check things out then greets you with a wiggly butt and a lick on the hand. Did we mention he is great with other dogs? Like any youngster he'll need to be taught to share his toys with furry friends. Exploring outside is his favorite way to burn off energy so having a yard to run around in would be a dream for this little man. Leashes are a new experience for him, and with time we're confident he'll catch on and enjoy walks with you, but as he is learning Tucker would like to go to a home with a fenced-in yard. Being from a puppy mill and not getting the interaction he so badly craved, he is soaking up all the attention he can get now and gets a bit anxious when left alone. Crate use has been the best way of making sure he doesn't get himself into a pickle while his foster family is away. He fusses at first but then realizes it's ok because they'll be back soon. Snuggling on the couch and getting as much love as you can give would be his perfect day! Does Tucker sound like a great addition to your home? Fill out an application today! Tucker is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Honey, a beautiful 4-year-old, 35lb Mini Australian Shepherd with a heart as golden as her name. Honey is an Amish puppy mill survivor who has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate companion despite her challenging past. She's looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention and share her abundant love. Honey has a sweet, gentle disposition and craves human affection. She loves to cuddle, be petted, and will happily stay by your side, making her the perfect companion for someone who wants a loyal, loving friend. She's a quick learner and very intelligent, as is characteristic of her breed, and she enjoys mental stimulation through interactive toys and gentle training exercises. Due to her past experiences, Honey can be a bit shy at first, but with patience and kindness, she quickly warms up and her true loving nature shines through. She thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe and secure. Because she prefers to be the only dog, Honey would do best in a home where she can be the sole recipient of your love and attention. Honey is looking for a special person or family who understands her background and can offer her the patience and care she needs to continue growing in confidence. In return, she promises to be a devoted and affectionate companion who will bring endless joy to your life. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, loving dog who has overcome a tough start in life, Honey would love to meet you. Help Honey find the loving forever home she truly deserves. Honey is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Honey is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
