Meet Betty! This beautiful 5 month old Border Collie/Shepherd mix is absolutely stunning! She weighs about 40 pounds and we expect her to be about 60 full grown! Betty is a super smart girl, she already has her basic manners mastered! She is housebroken, crate trained and great on a leash. This girl is a high energy, super agile dog. She needs a fenced yard so she can stretch her long legs & she's a bit of an explorer so a secure fence is recommended. She loves to play and snuggle with her canine foster brother and is good with the resident cat. She also is great with all people she meets. Betty would be better with kids age 10 and up as she like to herd her people and might be a little much for younger kids. This girl would be perfect for a family who likes to hike and go on adventures - Betty is up for anything and a fast learner! Think she might be a good fit? FOREVER HOME NEEDED!! Kubo came to us in 2020, and was adopted relatively quickly! Unfortunately, his owners could not handle Kubo and it led to them needing to return him. He was terrified upon being back at the kennel, a completely different dog than what had came to us originally. We found Kubo a wonderful foster home where he has been for 2 years! He never receives ANY interest . We are now desperate. Kubo's foster is returning to work and will not have enough time to care for him. This poor boy needs his FOREVER home ASAP!!! Kubo is a very smart 5 year old cuddle bug. He LOVES to cuddle on his person and be around them. He has been undergoing training and has come such a long way. Kubo is good with other dogs but can be very vocal when seeing them outside which is part of what his training has consisted of. He would do amazing in a lower traffic home with adults/older teens. Inara certainly lives up to her name, which means “ray of light!” Inara is a beautiful and sweet 60 lb, 1-year-old border collie mix with a tail that never stops wagging once she gets to know you. Inara was found on the Texas and Mexico border, all alone and wandering in search of humans and food. A caring border patrol agent scooped her up and kept her safe. She can be shy and fearful in new situations, but once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate, loyal, and sweet – a total cuddle bug who just wants to be near her people. Inara is house trained. She LOVES other dogs and would thrive in a home with another canine companion to help her feel more secure and show her the ropes. She is curious and athletic; she loves to play and chase her foster siblings around the yard. Inara is also very smart and food motivated, which makes training a lot of fun. So far, she has learned “sit,” “paw,” “down,” “touch,” and “leave it” (though she’s still perfecting the last command in the company of squirrels). She’s working on these skills and building confidence in her foster home. At night, she sleeps on a dog bed in her foster parent’s room. Inara is looking for a calm, understanding forever home that will give her the time and space to feel safe. Because she can be skittish, a family with small children might not be the best option for her. But if you're patient, loving, and have a few treats in your pocket, Inara will absolutely become your new best friend. Inara is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines. Luckily a nice passerby stopped and got them safe and then reached out for rescue help. Petunia is very loving and playful. She loves her siblings also posted: Zennia, Carnie, Marigold, Sunny, Cosmo. They love their beautiful momma, Daisy, who has been heartworm treated and will be posted as well very soon. The pups are working on their trainings but will still need some guidance. Because I used to be a stray, I am pretty wary of cars and prefer to go on walks in the park or on quiet side roads.
