Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Toby is obedient and learns commands very easily. He comes when called, knows basic commands and even knows a few tricks  He was initially adopted from Diane's as a young puppy, November 2023. His previous owners became concerned with his behavior towards their three children, ages 10-3. He growled and snapped at the children a few times. He was fine 99% of the time but it was extremely scary for their kids and not something the family wanted to work with. He has never displayed this behavior toward the wife or husband. We have not seen this behavior but have found him to be very leery of men. He is very head shy and will submissively urinate and tremble around them. He was clearly not properly socialized with a lot of people or other dogs. He is a timid boy but once you get to know him, he will be your best friend. Slow introductions are necessary with Toby, we continue to learn new traits about Toby every day. He would do best in a all female household with NO children. Thank you for your interest in rescue. If you would like to be considered for adoption please submit an application to adopt. APPLICATION TO ADOPT: https://form.jotform.com/240606049335150      If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email:  dianespets1486@gmail.com May 10, 2024, 6:03 pm

Story
I love this dog. I’ve been told he is mainly border collie with some Australian Shepard. His birthday is December 27th, 2017 so he just turned 6. Unfortunately for several reasons, I’m opening up to the idea to see if he would be a better fit to b someone else. now have a 2 year old and an infant. The kids and augie don’t play well with each other. Augie gets way too excited for a ball and he can get rough with 2 kids around. He’s so smart and learns so quick! He’s potty trained but has an occasional accident when it’s raining because he doesn’t like to go out when it’s raining. He also had So much energy so someone with a lot of space would be great! He is cautious with almost everything at first but then opens up and is fine! With some training he would be the best dog but it’s not something I can provide him 😢 his favorite thing is fetch and balls.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Samuel, the 52-pound charmer with the energy of a Border Collie and the heart of a teddy bear! This one-year-old Border Collie/Lab (possibly?) mix is the perfect combination of sweet and spirited. He's a social butterfly with dogs and a soft treat-taker from your hand. Sam's talents include sitting and working on "OFF". His perfect day involves walks, yard playtime, and some quality time with squeaky toys. Sam is very attached to his people and always wants to be near them. He is crate-trained and housetrained. Samuel walks very well on a leash - does not pull and rides well in the car. He is as loyal as they come. Sam's ideal home? One with a patient person who can match his energy, perhaps another furry friend, and a daily routine. If you're ready for a companion who'll keep up with you on all your adventures, Sam's your guy! Apply now, and let the adventures begin!    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Story
Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 11, 2024, 7:19 am

Story
Kenzie is a beautiful young, 2 year old example of a stunning Border Collie that is in need of the right home that understands her specialness as a breed. This girl is only 40 pounds and still very much a puppy in her body and soul.  She loves to play in water, like a plastic kiddie pool that is easy to have in the backyard and she is always absorbing new things to learn.  This 40 pound girl is great with other dogs, cats (lived in one) and she is still in her herding mode and young children would not be recommended.  Older children are fine if they understand her herding tendencies.  Kenzie is housebroken, crate trained and is needing a strong leader and family that loves who she is as a breed and willing to take the time to shape and mold her.  She is a stunning dog in manners and personality.   We love Kenzie and she promises to be more than you could ever want in life as a family companion.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 11, 2024, 7:19 am
