Story
Meet Chacha Female DOB: May 22, 2024 Weight: 29 pounds (medium small) Breed: Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Spayed (Fixed) (Spayed during a community campaign — no paperwork available) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Chacha T is a loving, social girl with a happy personality and a wonderful balance of affection and playful energy. She absolutely loves going on walks and enjoys spending time with her people, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys having a dog involved in daily life and activities. She also gets along well with: Dogs Children Chacha T does not do well with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Some dogs naturally have stronger prey-drive tendencies or become overly focused on smaller animals depending on breed traits, personality, and past experiences. She has beautifully matured beyond the puppy stage while still keeping a fun, playful spirit. Chacha T enjoys companionship, interaction, and being included as part of the family. A Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix is typically a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and steadfast devotion. This breed mix often combines the Boxer's fun-loving, people-oriented personality with the Black Mouth Cur's confidence, work ethic, and strong loyalty to their family. They are happiest when they are included in everyday life and enjoy being active alongside the people they love. These dogs are eager to learn and respond well to positive reinforcement, making them highly trainable and rewarding companions. They enjoy daily exercise, outdoor adventures, interactive games, and activities that challenge both their mind and body. While they have an energetic side, they are also known for being affectionate and enjoy relaxing with their family after an active day. A Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily exercise and outdoor activities Continued positive reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Plenty of companionship and family interaction A lifelong commitment to their emotional and physical well-being With love, leadership, and consistency, a Boxer / Black Mouth Cur Mix grows into a confident, devoted, and well-mannered companion who forms deep bonds with their family and is always ready for the next adventure. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Chacha T will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Daily exercise and mental stimulation Patience during adjustment periods Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Chacha T will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and updated vaccinations Preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because vaccine records are unavailable and vaccines are currently due, adopters should establish veterinary care promptly after adoption to update and maintain her preventative care schedule. Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping her live a healthy and happy life. Chacha T is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Meatball was rescued from living on the side of a dumpster with an unhoused man ✨ Look at the difference a safe environment makes! ✨ He’s clean, happy, and finally able to do real dog things—no more being confined to a shopping cart. 🐾💔 Right now, he’s with a very temporary foster, but we urgently need a long-term foster. The sooner we can place him somewhere stable, the better. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy. 💕 We named him Meatball

Story
Hi! My name is Mr. Muffin’s 🐾 Estimated age: 4–5 years | Breed: Predominantly Pit Bull My Story I was found as a stray on the streets of East LA—emaciated, starving, and covered in hundreds of ticks. Thanks to a kind woman who stopped to help, I was brought into rescue and placed in a foster home where my healing journey could begin. Getting me healthy was no small feat. I was severely malnourished, anemic, had bladder stones, and contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (Rickettsia) from the ticks. With proper medication, surgery, a special diet, and lots of TLC, I’ve overcome it all—and I’m happy to say I’m now in good health and feeling great. My Personality & Home Life For the past six months, I’ve lived peacefully with my foster’s resident dog—an intact male pit bull. We’ve become great buddies (though my foster mom says we can get a little rowdy sometimes!). I’ve also been around other dogs and do best with calm, controlled introductions rather than meeting every dog out on the street. I can happily coexist with another dog, but I’d also thrive as an only dog where I can soak up all the love. Because of my enthusiastic and physical play style, a home without small children would be best for me. Important Notes About Me • I love chewables like bones, collagen chews, and beef cheek rolls • I can be protective of high-value chews around other animals, so it’s best I enjoy them separately—in another room or in my crate • I’m crate trained and know some basic commands Favorite Things • Playing tug • Chasing the flirt pole • Sunbathing • Cuddling up with my people I’m a resilient, loving boy who’s been through a lot and come out the other side ready to give my whole heart. I’m looking for my forever person or family—someone to love me as much as I’ll love them. 💛 If you think we could be a match, I can’t wait to meet you.
