Story
Amanda is fully recovered and fully ready to be someone’s forever. 🐾 At 8 years young, Amanda is the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little softer, a little sweeter. After losing her home and being overlooked at the shelter, Amanda waited patiently while her younger companions were adopted. With her grey muzzle and medical concerns, she was passed over time and again… until now. Amanda has since had surgery to remove a mass near her eye and has made a complete recovery thanks to the care of her foster family and medical team. Now, she’s thriving in foster care and showing us just how much life and love she still has to give. Amanda is affectionate, curious, and endlessly endearing. She adores soft beds (especially ones with sides!), belly rubs, leisurely walks, and following her people around the house to check on whatever they’re doing... even vacuuming or taking out the trash. While she’s calm and relaxed most of the day, her playful, puppy-like energy shines in the evenings when she gets zoomy and chews on her favorite toys. She loves walks and lights up when she sees her leash, doing a happy little toe-tap dance. She prefers quieter, residential strolls or scenic spots like the Venice canals, but she’s learning to navigate busier environments too, with patience and encouragement. She walks well on leash, enjoys saying hi to friendly dogs, and is respectful of canine companions, even when they’re not in the mood to play. 🩺 Fully recovered from eye surgery 🐕 Dog-social with a respectful, playful style 💤 Calm, affectionate, and loves a cozy couch or soft bed 🏡 Would love a mellow, loving home — ideally with another friendly dog 🚫 Bed-sleeper alert! She will politely ask to join you, but she settles well with boundaries 🐾 House-trained, good with routine, and very food-motivated (slow feeder needed!) 🧼 Enjoys baths, takes meds easily, and loves new toys Amanda is the ultimate best friend: soulful, snuggly, and just the right mix of chill and playful. She’s waited long enough. Now it’s time for her to be truly seen, cherished, and at home for good.

Look at that face. Yeah, there's gotta be some boxer in there. And true to form, that means he's bouncy, goofy, and definitely the most popular kid on the playground at recess. Marvin is all about the Tigger lifestyle and truly, his top is made out rubber, his bottom is made out of springs. Big hops. Lots of friends. Unlimited enthusiasm. If he could speak human, he'd talk your ear off and you'd love every minute. Marvin can't wait to meet you. And your friends too!

Story
Buford was found in the streets of LA by a good Samaritan, skin and bones, then luckily found himself in a warm foster home with a pack of three other wonderful large dogs. He has proven to be a real gem, melding in nicely and being a perfect gentleman in his foster home, and is now ready for his forever home. This 90 lb love bug enjoys many things: sun bathing, cuddling and snuggling on bed or couch, playing fetch, watching Netflix with his human buddy, and playing with his stuffed animals. He is a quick learner and so easy to please - sits on command, goes to his pen when asked and at mealtime where he patiently awaits his food, goes potty before bedtime and is a great all night sleeper, knows how to properly position himself in front of the fan for summertime cool-off, and eager to learn more tricks! His best fit home is one with a good sized yard for him to run around in, and people ready to take him out for walks, hikes and adventures (with continued work on his leash training he will be that perfect outdoor companion). Anyone ready to call him part of their family will be very very lucky. If you think you are a good fit, please email therealbark@gmail.com so you can meet him!

At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Story
Meet Brooks! This handsome 3-year-old Dogo Argentino came into a Northern California shelter with his brother Dunn (yes, Brooks & Dunn, but no country songs required here ). While Dunn found his path, Brooks waited patiently for over a year until a kind foster opened their home to him. Now, thanks to DC Dogos, Brooks officially has a chance to find his forever family. Brooks is the total package: Trained & Polite – Crate trained, housebroken, walks nicely on leash, and knows his basic obedience. Talented – Can catch treats mid-air like a pro and enjoys puzzles, nose work, and enrichment games. Playful & Goofy – Loves tossing his stuffies in the air, catching them, and zooming around proudly. He’ll even “bite the air” when he’s feeling silly. Loving Companion – Cuddles, kisses, and snuggles are his specialties. He plays well with balanced female dogs and takes good care of his toys. Adventure-Ready – Loads into the car easily and is a wonderful passenger. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, and loyal best friend who’s ready to sing his own love song with you, Brooks might just be your guy. Apply to adopt: dcdogos.org/adopt Location: Ukiah, CA
