Story
This sweet lady was brought into the South LA shelter on 7/11/23 and spent each day huddled in the back of her kennel run shaking and well....just miserable. And then one volunteer decided not to give up on her....and she coaxed Uki out of her corner and into the play yard. And it was the day our founder happened to be watching the dogs in the yard and she just knew Uki had to come into the Squad. Uki has come out of her shell and is just a kind, sweet, smart dog. She walks nicely on leash and is quick to learn commands. She loves people and snuggles up quickly - so yea, she's a little needy but it's super endearing. Uki obviously has had a few litters poor thing. But never again! If you are looking for a low key, loving dog....look no further. Just go to the link below and start your new life with an awesome dog. https://dawgsquad.org/adoption-application/

Story
Hi! I'm Mojo. So nice to meet you. I am the nicest dog! Gentle, kind, easy going-a total catch if you ask anyone who knows me! My previous owners surrendered me to a shelter b/c of a move and they said I lived with rabbits and cats. I am currently fostered with multiple dogs of all sizes. I get along with everyone. I am house broken and crate trained and I just wanna spend my days being loved and cherished. Can't wait to meet you! *please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org

Cap has been a backyard dog all his life but loves attention from people. His is 5 years old now. Super loving dog and very energetic. He’s never been socialized with other animals so he should be an only pet until he is trained properly. He loves walks and playing with his toys. He needs a new home because his previous owners could no longer care for him. He is being foster right now by people who love him but can’t keep him.

Story
One of my best memories ever was on a hot summer day when I was rolling around in the grass and the person I was with was laughing and taking so many photos of me — boy, did I feel good about myself! I have a sister named Momo and we used to be inseparable, until she found a forever home. I miss her so much but I'm super happy for her and just want the same for myself! I love running around in big yards and taking long walks. Sometimes I get scared of people I don't know and then I bark, but I'm sure when I find my own forever home, I won't feel so anxious anymore. My future family is out there somewhere and I just can't wait to meet them!If you are interested in meeting Lil’ Dad, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.[Lil’ Dad is 1 year old and weighs 65 lbs.] (2112/2205)

ADOPTION PENDINGI'm Honey and people say the name fits because I'm so incredibly sweet. I was dumped on the Venice boardwalk and waited for hours in the same spot for my person to come back. Luckily the people at Forte saved the day and agreed to help me. I love nothing better than to cuddle and give love. I'm house trained and know commands, and am fine with other dogs as long as I get introduced properly. I love kids and would be a great first dog for anyone because I have all the training and enjoy just lounging around the house and hang out. Just waiting for the right forever home to realize how sweet I am and keep me forever. If you are interested in meeting Honey, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. Story
A lot of people used to think I was a lone-wolf kind of pup, but it didn’t make sense to me because I have a whole lotta love to give and enjoy being around humans. Before, I used to wander the streets. Luckily, I was picked up and placed into a loving home temporarily while some good people now help me find a new caring home. My foster mama wants what’s best for me and in the hands of somebody that has a large yard or even the time to take me on good girl walks and runs every day! It's also a good thing to note that I am the ultimate cuddle bug and just want to be petted all the time. My foster mama thinks I am a good balance of both lazy and energetic. If I am not being a goofball, you can catch me chewing on my toys and meaty bones, my favorite! I am learning commands quickly and can’t wait to be put in lessons. I enjoy sticking by my human around dogs, but I can’t help but be a little curious. I’m just not a fan of other doggies getting too into my space, but you can probably relate. I hope to meet my new forever home soon, and just know you will always be greeted by a happy face and tail wag when you get home. Kisses! If you are interested in meeting Missy, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Missy is 1 year old and weighs 45 lbs. as of Aug. 2023] (2308)

Story
Meet our new pups! Unfortunately, these puppies have been rescued from a very unfortunate situation! An accidental pregnancy lead to unwanted puppies and puppies being given away far too young! Fortunately, a Good Samaritan saw them giving away the puppies on the street and stepped in! Sadly, by the time we were alerted 3 puppies had already been homed. We came in and placed them with an amazing foster who is able to give them all the care and socialization that puppies of this age need! We're excited to learn more about their personalities and will keep their profiles updated as we do! Darling Raffi is the baby of the group. He'll get himself lost, even in a bedroom, when he wanders around. No need to worry about him missing for long though, because he'll surely call out to you for help! He's a loving baby who thrives on attention.

These pups are in Los Angeles, California too!

IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more. Below, under our The Nature Network CONTACT INFO you can find a “DONATION” link. We are deeply grateful for help. To meet us, help us, or if you know people or businesses who would like to, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal Giving email address for donation and sponsorship). Mailing: The Nature Network Inc., 3826 Grand View Blvd., #66790, Los Angeles, CA 90066. We are not like many larger non-profits who use up to 90% of all funds on expensive advertising, enormous salaries, social media, and human expenses. Our veterinary references are available upon request. Loving and sweet FAITH has been abandoned in kill shelters and by rescues four times! She needs sponsorship and is not adoptable at this time. Lovely pup Faith lives up to her name, as she has not only been dumped in a kill shelter twice but has also been let down by rescues and abandoned twice. Without the help of loving, understanding people, Faith had no hope of making it to the forever home she has waited for, for over two years. Poor Faith has been let down by rescues more than once. Two years ago Faith was dumped in Downey high kill shelter by her previous owner. She was covered in bite wounds. She was possibly used as bait for fighting dogs. She was rescued in May 2013 but was just dumped and left for several months in a boarding kennel and received no help during all that time for her issues. Faith is dog reactive and dog defensive, after her past ordeals. A new rescue stepped in and contacted a wonderful rescue/animal advocate who is a trainer and trains rescue dogs. After she had received her training & socialization, Faith's rescue then adopted her out, but she was cruelly dumped back into the shelter system! Thankfully the rescue/animal advocate who had trained Faith, found her in the shelter and rescued her as her previous rescue made no steps to re-rescue her, even after knowing Faith was back in the shelter system. Faith loves people and is very affectionate and trusting, amazingly. Faith is now under the care of her animal advocate/trainer. Boarding fees are building and her training and socialization are progressing well. We need to set Faith up for success and give us time to find her either a wonderful only-dog foster home or an equally suitable loving & understanding forever home for such a sweet pup. Please consider adopting, fostering, or being a sponsor for lovely Faith. Dogs like Faith cannot be saved without your help. Faith is around 3-4 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and healthy. Thank you for any help you can provide for Faith. To meet Faith please contact: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com

Donovan is a spunky, happy pocket Pittie, (Bull Terrier/Chihuahua mix). He is very active, enjoys playing with his toys and chasing a ball. He likes to explore and run outside in the yard. Donovan loves people and wants to please; he is very affectionate, cuddly and wants to stay close to his person. He walks well on the leash but still needs some training since he is just so happy that he starts jumping and pulling. He needs an active family for playtime and walks but we wouldn’t recommend him for a family with small children since he is so rambunctious that he just might run them over. Also, please no other dogs for him. Donovan is 13 months old; he still needs some training and learning puppy etiquettes. He weighs 21 lbs.; he is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Donovan will need ongoing puppy training (leash, potty, manners) so please only apply if you are ready to put in the work and have the time and patience for a puppy We request an application, in person meet and greet, and a home check. Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis; it is always the best match for the dog.We do not ship out of state; we do not transport. Before you apply please make sure that everyone in your household is in agreement to adopt a puppy.

Story
My friend found him on the street in Korea town about a year ago and I decided to foster him. He’s a good dog so I wasn’t in much of a rush but I’m moving soon so it’s time to find him a permanent home. He was skinny and nuts when we got him but he’s very healthy, trained on basics, and chilled out a lot. He’s still energetic and needs stimulation. He would benefit from people being home to help with his separation anxiety and regular walks helps him listen and chill out. That said, he sleeps a lot and is crate trained, though he doesn’t love being crated. He only ever barks if strangers come into our yard but he knows not to bark when it’s me or my roommates. He loves dogs and gets very happy to have the opportunity to play with them and is good with kids. All in all if you follow a schedule and make sure he’s enriched he’s a great dog. He listens and is treat motivated. Have plenty of toys, walk him once a day, let him poop after meals, crate him at first, and he’s great.
