FOSTER NEEDED ALERT: Our sweet Mike is truly magic. He started his young life on the streets of Los Angeles with an unhoused individual who couldn’t care for him or his canine brother. They were both turned into the local shelter and split up. Poor Mike has been through a lot over the last few months, but he’s now focused on his future and has so much love to give. We think he’s about three years young. He’s fun, curious, and very energetic. He is smart and eager to please and will benefit from some good old fashioned basic training skills (no more jumping up to say hello or pulling on the leash, kind of training). His horrible diet from living on the streets did a number on his sensitive Boxer tummy, so he’s currently undergoing tests to help get his digestive system back on track. He’s great with people and kids. He was in a foster home with another Boxer and they got along great, but sadly, the family didn’t have the time to focus on his temporary medical needs. He’s fully house trained and loves being a part of a family. We are looking for an immediate foster for Mike and if you welcome him into your home, we promise we won’t blame you if you can’t let him go – he’s that fantastic in every way! Extremely smart 4-year-old boxer mix! Juno is crate trained: 5-6 hour stretches during the day and sleeps through the night in the crate. Though she's crate-savvy, she's also a cuddle bug and won't turn down an invite to snuggle up in bed. Whenever we leave out of town for long work trips, she hangs out at dog boarding. We have two different companies we use and she has always interacted with the dogs without ever having any altercations - under strict supervision. She will bark at other dogs during walks. When she was a puppy, she completed a 3 month board and train where she learned her commands. "Place" Go to her bed. "Crate" When you need her in her crate. But when it's time for bed she will follow you to the crate and go right in. "Come" When you need her to come. "Come touch" When you need her attention in case of an emergency. We feel she should do best in a home environment.
