Story
WOOF! I'M RILEY! I'm a 3-year-old cute Boxer-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I have dark eyes and it looks like I wear shades! I was recently rescued from a California shelter where I was pretty terrified - I sat in the back and looked at people as they walked by. But now I'm coming out of my shell. I have done great with other dogs so far and am quickly adjusting to be a happy boy. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Maple - Our Lovely Golden Girl with a Spark!Maple is a gentle, loving older lady with a heart full of sweetness and a nose that can find a treat from a mile away! Snacks are absolutely the way to her heart - but she also has a delightful amount of pep and enthusiasm for life. This beautiful senior girl may have a calm, kind spirit, but don't let her gray hairs fool you - Maple loves to get up and go. She has plenty of energy and enjoys lively walks, exploring the world with a happy tail, and engaging with her people. After her adventures, she's equally content to settle in for cozy naps and soak up affection.Maple came to us with a mammary tumor that was removed during her stay in our care. While testing showed that it had likely already metastasized, she currently shows no signs of illness. Her expected survival could be two years or more - but even if her time may be somewhat shorter, that only makes it more important that she find her forever home soon, with someone who will cherish her golden days.Maple is a "Pawspice" adoption, meaning the East Bay SPCA will provide specific ongoing support for her care going forward. Come meet this lovely, spirited girl to learn more and see if she's the one who'll brighten your home. Maple is currently in a foster home, but if you would like to meet her, please email customercare@eastbayspca.org Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 69 Age: 8yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Fum aka Harley, is a playful and affectionate puppy that is looking for his forever home. He loves exploring and sniffing when out on his walks. He does well on the leash and will occasionally pull for a good sniff but quickly adjust with a little correction. He loves his toys but tends to tear up stuffies, he does best with heavy duty chews and tug toys. Fum is a smart boy already knowing commands like down and sit and is working on more. He is highly treat motivated and cataches on quickly, plus he is crate and potty trained like a champ. Fum is still very much a puppy and working out his puppy energy and needs training and exercise.  Fum does well with other dogs, cats, and children, just exercise caution around young ones since he gets the zoomies. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you're interested in meeting Fum fill out an application and a volunteer will reach out within one business day.  www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application

Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
Nova is a sweet, playful, and energetic girl who loves being around people and other animals. She has a friendly, social personality and adapts well in new environments. Whether it’s playing outside, going for walks, or cuddling up after a long day, Nova is always eager to share her love. Nova would thrive with a family or individual who can give her plenty of attention, exercise, and love. She’s a loyal companion who just wants to be part of a caring home. I am moving in with my partner, who has severe allergies, and unfortunately, we’re unable to keep Nova. I want to ensure she finds a loving and stable home where she can continue to thrive.

Story
Hello, we are currently seeking a new home for our American Bully, Mia. She is 2 years old. Following my daughter's recent move back home, our living space has become insufficient for Mia. We often take her to dog parks, where she exhibits playful behavior around other dogs and has a strong affinity for cuddling. Mia would best fit an active owner.
