This beautiful senior girl may have a calm, kind spirit, but don't let her gray hairs fool you - she has plenty of energy and enjoys lively walks, exploring the world with a happy tail, and engaging with her people. After her adventures, she's equally content to settle in for cozy naps and soak up affection. Maple came to us with a mammary tumor that was removed during her stay in our care. While testing showed that it had likely already metastasized, she currently shows no signs of illness. Her expected survival could be two years or more - but even if her time may be somewhat shorter, that only makes it more important that she find her forever home soon, with someone who will cherish her golden days. Maple is a "Pawspice" adoption, meaning the East Bay SPCA will provide specific ongoing support for her care going forward. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:12Molly is a sweet, silver-muzzled lady with a gentle soul and a playful spark. She’s 9 years young and 63 pounds, a boxer/pittie mix who’s calm and thoughtful. She can be cautious at first, but once she warms up, she shines. Volunteers note she enjoys doing her own thing, trots nicely on leash, and takes treats very politely. She already knows sit and paw, and loves squeaky toys. She’ll even play a mellow game of fetch with an impressive catch-and-drop. On a recent field trip to Jack London Square, Molly showed just how easygoing she can be, walking very nicely at a relaxed pace. She had no reaction to passing people, dogs, or small animals, and took everything in stride. She was a bit restless in the car, but settled in and slept on the ride back. Around other dogs, Molly stays relaxed and prefers polite, low-key interactions. She’d do great as a solo dog or with a well-matched canine friend who respects her space. Fum aka Harley, is a playful and affectionate puppy that is looking for his forever home. He loves exploring and sniffing when out on his walks. He does well on the leash and will occasionally pull for a good sniff but quickly adjust with a little correction. He loves his toys but tends to tear up stuffies, he does best with heavy duty chews and tug toys. Fum is a smart boy already knowing commands like down and sit and is working on more. He is highly treat motivated and cataches on quickly, plus he is crate and potty trained like a champ. Fum is still very much a puppy and working out his puppy energy and needs training and exercise. Fum does well with other dogs, cats, and children, just exercise caution around young ones since he gets the zoomies. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful adoption. Max is an 11-year-old large mixed-breed boy who has been a deeply loved companion and a joy to have around. Born around September 2014, he came to us years ago through a friend of a friend. While we don’t know much about his early history, we know exactly who he is now: a sweet, intelligent, affectionate dog with a gentle soul. Max is neutered, fully vaccinated, house-trained, and very people-oriented. He’s incredibly smart and full of personality, known for his happy dances, expressive tail wags, and strong bond with his humans. Because of his age, Max does best at a slower pace. His legs aren’t what they used to be, so he’s not a running or hiking partner and doesn’t enjoy rough play. He thrives in a calm home and would be happiest as an only dog or with a relaxed, similarly paced companion.
