Story
WOOF! I'M RILEY! I'm a 3-year-old cute Boxer-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I have dark eyes and it looks like I wear shades! I was recently rescued from a California shelter where I was pretty terrified - I sat in the back and looked at people as they walked by. But now I'm coming out of my shell. I have done great with other dogs so far and am quickly adjusting to be a happy boy. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Maple - Our Lovely Golden Girl with a Spark!Maple is a gentle, loving older lady with a heart full of sweetness and a nose that can find a treat from a mile away! Snacks are absolutely the way to her heart - but she also has a delightful amount of pep and enthusiasm for life. This beautiful senior girl may have a calm, kind spirit, but don't let her gray hairs fool you - Maple loves to get up and go. She has plenty of energy and enjoys lively walks, exploring the world with a happy tail, and engaging with her people. After her adventures, she's equally content to settle in for cozy naps and soak up affection.Maple came to us with a mammary tumor that was removed during her stay in our care. While testing showed that it had likely already metastasized, she currently shows no signs of illness. Her expected survival could be two years or more - but even if her time may be somewhat shorter, that only makes it more important that she find her forever home soon, with someone who will cherish her golden days.Maple is a "Pawspice" adoption, meaning the East Bay SPCA will provide specific ongoing support for her care going forward. Come meet this lovely, spirited girl to learn more and see if she's the one who'll brighten your home. Maple is currently in a foster home, but if you would like to meet her, please email customercare@eastbayspca.org Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 69 Age: 8yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Meet Scooby, a sweet and curious pup who loves heading out on walks and taking in the world through his nose. From grass to trees to every interesting scent along the way, he's all about enjoying nature at his own pace. When it's time to play, Scooby lights up. Fetch is his favorite game, and he could happily chase a ball again and again. When Scooby first arrived at the shelter, the world felt a little big and scary. But with love, patience, and reassurance, he's blossomed into a happy, affectionate pup who's learning just how good life can be. He'll still benefit from some confidence-building in his new home, and he'll do best with someone who can continue cheering him on as he grows braver every day. Scooby is ready to find his forever family and keep growing into his best self.Good news, I qualify for our Foster to Adopt program! Call 831-373-2631 to learn more. Story
Fum aka Harley, is a playful and affectionate puppy that is looking for his forever home. He loves exploring and sniffing when out on his walks. He does well on the leash and will occasionally pull for a good sniff but quickly adjust with a little correction. He loves his toys but tends to tear up stuffies, he does best with heavy duty chews and tug toys. Fum is a smart boy already knowing commands like down and sit and is working on more. He is highly treat motivated and cataches on quickly, plus he is crate and potty trained like a champ. Fum is still very much a puppy and working out his puppy energy and needs training and exercise.  Fum does well with other dogs, cats, and children, just exercise caution around young ones since he gets the zoomies. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you're interested in meeting Fum fill out an application and a volunteer will reach out within one business day.  www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application
