Story
Looks like: Boxer, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever Mix Male, 8 years old (estimated), 65 pounds Meet the dog with the world's biggest heart! Hank has tons of love to share in the form of cuddles, snuggles, and adoration for his family. Hank refuses to pick favorites-in fact, he's a fan of yours already! He has excellent manners-no jumping up when saying hello, never begging, and asking permission before getting onto a bed or couch. Hank would be happiest in a house where folks have deep reserves of affection ready to share with him. This energetic boy will need people who welcome a dog with spirit, strength, and passions: car rides, long walks, hikes, and fetch (only the best game in the world). He has shown some dog reactivity while on leash, but with reminders and training he's already showing signs of improvement. He has successfully lived with cats in the past, but would require a gradual introduction with any new kitty friends. He admits that his natural inclination is to chase cats (squirrels are also kind of irresistible). Hank sometimes protects his resources when he settles into a home. He would be best in a home as a solo dog or with a pup who is happy to share toys and chews and won't be bothered by Hank's miserly tendencies at times! We don't know yet how Hank would do with children. Hank's dream situation would include humans of his very own to love, squeaky toys, and a yard. Hank's DNA results show that he's a Super Mutt Mix! He's 50% Boxer mixed with German Shepherd, Golden Retriever and Border Collie. Hank was surrendered to us because his senior guardian was no longer able to care for him.

Story
Cassie is a two-ish-year-old boxer mix. She is about sixty pounds. She is charming, and once she gets to know you, you’ll be her favorite person (especially if you give her head rubs 🥰). She is very playful and high-energy. She loves to run around and play with toys but also loves a good couch nap. She is still working through some puppy behaviors, such as jumping up when excited and being okay with being alone. She is learning leash manners and doing well( she loves walks!!). She is reactive in certain situations but can be redirected. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs (a male and a female). She would do best in a home with one playful but easygoing male or as the only dog. She also has a high prey drive, so no cats or small animals.

Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.
